    Great video. Informative!
    (Waiting & hoping someone will do a video where they open up a ZUMA & compare that to an HB PowerPlant ISO-10AC Pro or similar unit to see how the parts & circuits compare.)

    Please can you advise me on how I'd go about purchasing a replacement power supply plug? I have this same Harley Benton ISO-2, and there doesn't seem to be any plug on the market which can supply it's needs of 12 V and 2000 Ma and the correct AC/DC. Because of this, I may have to return it. Do you know at all? Thanks

      I would contact Thomann immediately about it... They are usually very good with customer service. If it's still within the 3 year warranty, I'm sure they will send you a new one for free. Otherwise they should be able to recommend you a suitable replacement for you to buy

    what is the difference beteen the pro and the ACpro versions. i can see one has a wall wart and the other has a IEC AC connector directly into it. but why would you choose oe over the other

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  Рік тому

      Yes, the difference is exactly as you described. The main advantage of the ACpro is that you only carry an extra cable, while with the previous versions you have the external IEC AC connector, so it's one more thing to carry around (but not that big of a deal).

    Hello! thanks for this review .... i was wondering if this power supply was reallyy "isolated" or not ... great ... i'm ordering one .... by the way ... do you know (or anyone) where i could order ... shorter DC cables ?!!! .... thank you from Portugal .... Rock On ...

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks acrobata! For short DC cables, I like the EBS DC Cables angled / not angled connections. They also make pretty good short angled and flexible patch cables as well! For flat pedal boards, Harley Benton also recently released a new Power Plant ISO-5 Pro, which has only 5 outputs but is flatter than the ISO-2 Pro and should fit perfectly under the Spaceship 50C. If you do not need 8 outputs, then also consider the Iso-5 Pro. Please also consider using my Thomann affiliate links, which will give me a small commission that really helps me to get more products to make reviews at no additional cost for you.

    Thanks for this review! Do you recommend any other power supply to use as the one supplied does seem very fragile.

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Stephanie,
      I wouldn't know about an alternative power supply. The one provided with the board is a 12V and 3A DC power supply, so you could look for something similar or even ask the nice people from Thomann to recommend you one. At the same time, I treat mine carefully and it has been working flawlessly for 1,5 years in studio and 10+ gigs already. It is also annoying that the power cord is a bit short, so you must always be close to a power outlet on stage. Let me know if you find something interesting ;-)
      Make sure to also check their newly released ISO-5 Pro and ISO-12 Pro Power Supplies, which are equivalent to this but in different sizes. If you decide to buy one, please consider clicking in my affiliate link in this video description beforehand. This gives me a small commission at no additional cost for you and it really helps me get more products to perform these reviews.
      Thanks and have a great weekend,

    So, can I connect 8 differents "sssnake DC3 Cables" to every output, meaning that this lil' plate box can supply to 24 pedals, and go to my gig without any problem?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Alfredo,
      I definitely do not recommend that. Ideally you use max. 8-10 pedals with this power supply to make sure they all have enough current (mA) and are isolated.
      To properly answer your question, you need to sum up the current (mA) required by your 24 pedals. You can find that at pedal labels or manufacturers' websites. The iso-2 pro can provide up to 2000 mA. Each output also provides a maximum of 500 mA (outputs A and B) or 300 mA (others), so make sure you respect this limits. Note that, if you connect 3 pedals in series using a daisy chain like the sssnake DC3, they won't be isolated and this may lead to all sorts of noise and hiss problems. If you have 24 low current analog pedals it may work, but it would be better to use a larger power supply like the Palmer PWT12 (12 outputs) or the Cioks Ciokolate (16 outputs) or even 2-3x ISO-2 Pros...
      Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions regarding this issue. If you decide to buy one, please consider using my affiliate links on the video description. It gives me a small commission at no additional cost for you and it really helps to run this channel

      @@Alfredo78666 hahahah I am sure you can get a lot of sounds out of 16 pedals. Just make sure you provide enough juice to them (current), correct voltages and polarities and avoid daisy-chaining any digital pedals.

    Will this fit under my Pedaltrain Classic 2 SC? And if so, how do I mount it so it stays in place? Im kind of new to this whole power supply thing and have been using daisy chains but I really want to get a power supply :)

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  4 роки тому +1

      The problem is mostly with flat pedalboards, but the Pedaltrain Classic 2 SC is angled so it should definitely fit. The Power Plant ISO-2 Pro ships with elastic bands that you can use to attach it, but you can also use velcro. I have other video with a board mount using this power supply: ua-cam.com/video/h8Lkg5a4ahg/v-deo.html
      Harley Benton also released a ISO-5 Pro (5 outputs) and ISO-12 Pro (12 outputs), so now you have more options that may better suit your board size. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Just use one of them to go to Thomann's website and this will give me a small commission at no additional cost for you. Hi,is it this the same to that vitoos iso8?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1  4 роки тому +1

      That is very hard to know. They sure look exactly the same, but it could be the same exterior with different components inside. Product descriptions on Amazon are always a bit random. I think I saw an isolation test video with the Vitoos iso-8 and the outputs A and B are indeed isolated, but the other 6 outputs are actually daisy-chained. In any case, I'd definitely prefer buying the Harley Benton as you know exactly what you are getting and it comes with a 3-year warranty...

      @@TheBedroomRocker1 if you mean this video, ua-cam.com/video/tS-2tsqyZOc/v-deo.html, i believe you have confused the Vitoos DC 8 with the Vitoos ISO 8. They are 2 different products. The product you described is DC 8, not ISO 8. Unfortunately, I have not found any video or image of the ISO 8 circuit to confirm that it is truly isolated or the same as this HB ISO-2 Pro.

      @@GavinPang Thanks for the info. Yes, it's likely that Vitoos have an updated isolated version. No, just wanted to connect an extra pedal, all pedals 9V center - and mAmp ok, i got a power overload red light while I connected it.. but I didn't notice it the first time so 2 pedals are now dead. Tested them with battery and Boss power after the incident. I see no other explanation.. I used the ISO-2 Pro for 3 years +, average use, save spot at home, not on the road.
