Yeah, just totally stupid complaining about that. Truck started the turn when the cam car was fairly far away. It's not the truck's fault that it can't just make the turn super quickly and not slightly inconvenience the cammer.
To the entitled Karen @4:40, it appears the car you scolded to, "Pay attention" did not have a stop sign. I didn't see the STOP along with the limit line (both would be painted in reflective white paint) for them. You and the silver car both had those; the car you got mad at did not, Karen.

@@Flarflenugen I agree - you're "supposed" to be making sure the lane is clear before pulling into it, but in general there was some questionable examples in that video. If I'm driving 15mph faster than the lane right of me, I'm very aware that people might not be expecting me to come up into their blind spot that fast. Also, if I'm in someone's blind spot and they signal and start changing lanes, depending on the spacing, letting up on the gas a little to let someone in doesn't put me out that much.
2:20 - One thing I learned a long time ago, always drive like there's a car in the opposite lane even if there's not. That way it becomes automatic and you won't crash into someone head on. 2:29 - Another thing I've learned is, if I see a situation like that behind me, then if I go slow enough to open a little space in front of me, and then I speed up, to close that gap it will open up a space for one of those drivers to move into. 4:10 - Situational awareness! When people are crowded up like that, if someone changes lanes, expect someone else to change lanes at the same time. 6:27 - Give a wide berth to someone in a U-Haul, they're driving a strange vehicle that's 2-4 times bigger than their normal ride. 6:56 - Why are all these people driving so bunched up? This is not the Daytona 500, people! When I encounter a situation like that and there's no hope of getting separation by stepping on the gas, I'll just get separation by slowing down. I don't need to be surrounded by cars and 10 feet from someone's bumper at highway speeds. 9:51 - In a situation like that, I slow down and then give Truck Bro a wave. 3:08 i feel like this would be 50/50 my dude. They saw it was clear. You switched lanes when it was obvious they were pulling out and sped up. Ive been driving for nearly 20 years and i could have avoided this
3:08 i always found it unfair how if I pull into a multiple lane high way, and someone decides to merge last minute, I would be at fault. Like you're not expecting that and the person in multiple lane road should be curteous to some degree.
That's why you wait for it to be clear. You can take the risk of merging into moving traffic but it is just that--a risk. In this case it is a little more iffy because he started switching lanes in an intersection.
In some countries the onus is on the person on the highway to let people merge in from on-ramps. This is a safer solution that better facilitates the flow of traffic, because mergers wouldn't need to stop at the end of an on-ramp and then have to accelerate from zero. In some countries there is a mutual obligation. It's too bad common courtesy is dead in the US.
That's why you stop and make sure the road is clear. White car just rolled into the street without stopping and making sure nothing changed since last they looked before entering. And technically speaking, the street wasn't clear enough for them to enter even if that car didn't change lanes. Though sometimes we all have to do it, but probably smart to not doing it without stopping first.
@@Goldfish_Vender The audio isn't very clear, but I don't think the dashcam driver indicated. Maybe the driver of the white car only checked before the dashcam car suddenly changed lanes (still bad observation from the driver of the white car).
@@Procrastinator1948 These days you need a third cam showing what you are doing. "They were on their phone!" "Really. Let's just pull up the video from the camera pointed at me. There I am, not on my phone, looking at the road, aaand you hit me."
The one where you claimed the cam car was speeding. They were going 34. Speed limit sign said THIRTY-FIVE not twenty-five. They WERE going the speed limit, so speeding wasn't the issue. It was purely the other car not paying attention and pulling out in front of them.
I think cars need a dedicated "I'm sorry" taillight, and you have a big red button on the dash you can slap to turn it on. Would de-escalate some of these situations where you cut someone off by accident. Of course I guess it wouldn't take long before everyone started using their "I'm sorry" lights sarcastically.
7:37 I dont actually know what I would do but if bro caught me at a bad time I would entertain the thought of following him while planning something malicious

Even if you also have a weapon, you wanna risk that? That tesla drive is gonna piss off the wrong person one day, and get themselves killed acting like that
1:26 as you can see, the speed limit sign says 35 mph, if you look at the bottom left corner of the dash cam, you can clearly see that the cam car was going 35 miles per hour, therefore the cam car was not speeding and therefore the cam car would not have been at all at fault
6:54 The Tesla needed a PIT to put him in the ditch.😜 But OTOH you were being aggressive about 7:14 and there abouts to not let them in closing the gap between the red truck and you🙁.
That whole clip is cringe-worthy. The lead drivers are pacing each other (a violation of UTC in my state, don't know about there, but violation or not it's a dumb thing to do). 1:59 "Could have been prevented if the cammer wasn't speeding" Speeding? The sign says 35 mph, and the gps says 36 mph. If 1 mph is speeding then every single one of us is a criminal.
9:48 Cammer needs to slow down. He clearly saw the semi pulling out in the distance and purposely sped up then acted like the semi driver cut him off not realizing that semi drivers have small windows where they can pull out on the street.
Yeah the semi driver did nothing wrong like people gotta realize these things are not little Toyota corollas, they’re huge goddamn trucks that got places to be, they’re not going to sit there all day until the absolute perfect opportunity presents itself. They can be seen, you have to be patient with them. They take significantly longer to make a turn due to their obvious size and length.
1:27 she was not speeding, she was clearing going 34 mph as it says on the bottom left and the sign says speed limit 35. Speeding is usually going way above the speed limit somewhere around 49.
People really need to give big trucks a break! Not only are they big and heavy, they are carrying everything we need/want to and from stores for us. Plus when they're on the road, they're just trying to do their job. Even that last clip with the dumpster. You had plenty of room to slow down for him!
I disagree with this. Semi trucks use their size to their advantage and have put others, and me, in dangerous situations for following the law. Going the speed limit? Cut off way closer than most of these. Going straight with Semi in turn lane? Semi changes mind and cuts you off to go straight. On a Highway and move to pass two semi trucks? Semi in back starts merging while you’re in line with their front tires. Entitled jerks of the road
@@CloudsCrux And don't forget the classic: getting stuck behind a semi-truck and being forced to merge onto a 65 MPH expressway going only 25 MPH because the truck either doesn't have enough roadway to get up to speed or the truck is hauling heavy cargo that won't let it reach the speed limit. It happens to me constantly. There's literally nothing I can do but ride it out and hope the people in the right lane up ahead move over to the left lane to let me and the semi-truck in. 2... load imbalance. Well within load ratings. The tank was just too far back. IF YOU GET INTO THAT TRAILER FISHTAILING: Do not use the tow vehicle brakes. You'll jack-knife every time you try that. Apply trailer brakes and then let off the gas. It will straighten right out. then pull over and adjust the load to put more weight on the hitch. 10% of total trailer weight needs to be on the hitch. If that is too much for the tow vehicle to ride level, get a "Equalizer hitch" with spring bars. I've towed with pickups, sedans and station wagons. You can tow imbalanced... up to appx 20 mph. faster and unbalanced is asking to wreck even with equalizer hitch or a sway damper system.

0:50 Basic spatial awareness needs to be made a qualification for having a driver's license. So many low speed scrapes are caused by drivers not understanding where the corners of their vehicle are.

3:20 The absolute definition of idiocy: driver passes 1) in no-passing zone (solid yellow line) and 2) in HIGHLY foggy weather with severely diminished visibility. I doubt he/she even learned anything from this.........
1:19 How TF could this driver have possibly been at fault? Unless they were doing WAY under the speed limit (like 40 in a 65 MPH zone), that's all on the little white truck for going into the wrong lane to get around someone who was doing nothing wrong.
1:20 Of course not. The white pickup truck chose a really bad (and probably illegal) moment to try to pass you. If a collision had occurred it would have been 100% on them. Edit: 1:35 *Cammer was NOT speeding.* You can clearly see a speed limit sign saying 35 MPH in the video, and the dashcam's speed readout is working, showing between 33-36 throughout the entire clip. Cammer did *NOTHING* wrong, red car pulled out when they shouldn't have and did not react appropriately. Edit 2: 4:45 To be fair, the stop sign the person ran is in fact missing. There's a pole, but no sign. I'd call this particular incident an honest mistake.

@@aurorarowley7310 Could of hauled it on a semi truck trailer not a hot shot trailer, plus again it was loaded in the very back and not the front, that makes it spin out how it did in the video
I have so many questions about that air compressor trailer! Like for one, how did it do a flip and stay connected? I wish it was in frame a little earlier.
4:43 Did the car she honked at have a stop sign? I was hard to tell and usually, if it's a 4-way stop, there will be a 4-way sign under the stop sign to clarify. I'm convinced the SUV she honked at did not have a stop sign
The wobbly trailer at 0:30 could be solved by loading it ahead of the wheels instead of behind them. Had to watch it again to be sure, but I knew what was causing that as soon as I saw it - there are a few great videos on the topic on UA-cam. Edit - The commentary on 1:25 is silly. Speeding? 36 in a 35 didn't cause any part of that, and that's within tolerance for accuracy of the reading, they very likely weren't speeding at all. Edit 2 - 4:35 doesn't have a stop sign...
3:09 i know a lot of people are pointing out the lane change done by the canner but it's 100% fault on the person pulling onto the highway. They didn't even bother to stop to make sure it was clear at the point they were entering. They just kept rolling into the street. They probably looked down the street before the cammer changed lanes and assumed that lane they saw seconds prior was still empty with vehicles still driving down towards them.
Yeah, the lines in front of that entrance probably make it a T-junction too, not a merge. At least in CA, you always yield to main road traffic at a T-junction turn - doesn't matter which lane.
I feel like giving my opinion on each of the accidents: 0:03 - It's too obvious who's at fault. No comment. 0:26 - The slow lane exists for a reason: if you're carrying heavy load, which this guy clearly is, you need to go a bit slower, and clearly he didn't get that in his brain and got in that accident. If you have whatever vehicle and you have fragile cargo or in general the vehicle is slow, stay in the slow lane and don't try to drive faster. Put your ego in check and stay safe! 0:49 - No comment except to why those kind of trucks shouldn't belong to these drivers. 1:09 - Let's see: Night, check. Visibility low, check. Truck, check. Dickwad getting impatient and almost getting in a head-on collision, double check. If it's dark and there is a massive truck in front of you, be freaking patient and wait until you are on a STRAIGHT ROAD and make sure it is CLEAR. Also, if your vehicle doesn't have good acceleration, don't even try. 1:25 - "I go out now! Nobody except me on road!" Seriously, who gave that idiot a license? Cam did a good evasive maneuver, but in that scenario, remember that cams have a high FOV, so that was a lot closer than it looked. Do NOT use your brakes and honk like a maniac in this case. Trucker had really good reflexes. 3:25 - Cam was in the driver's blind spot but that doesn't mean you shouldn't check your damn mirrors and do a shoulder peak. It's not that damn difficult! 3:50 - Keep your distance, pay attention, and this won't happen. 4:05 - When you want to switch lanes, don't do what this dickwad in his ego SUV did. Switch to the first lane, stay on that lane, keep your indicator on, wait until it's clear, THEN switch to the other lane. It's not that hard. 4:20 (Nice) - If you have poor visibility, especially because of rain, roll down your window. Some rain drops in your car are better than deployed airbags and debris. 4:34 - Stop signs: you stop, even if the road is clear. Poor judgement here. 6:02 - Benefit of the doubt; they had the sun in their eyes, so visibility was poor. Guy that came out to the main road is at fault here. 6:22 - Truck at fault, but slow the hell down and give that horn a rest! 6:39 - Solid lanes are there for a reason: you cannot go over them or overtake from them. What this guy should've done is, if he made the wrong turn, he should've kept going anyway and find another way either back or forward. Mistakes happen, but the bigger mistake is if you break the law. 6:54 - Just revoke the asshole's license. Nuff said. 8:32 - Drunk driving is dangerous but that guy is having the time of his life lmao. Don't drink and drive. 8:59 - "What is red? Does that mean go?" - The moron. Take notes, people! 10:15 - Brake checking a truck is like trying to stop someone with a machete with the intent to kill you. Just don't honk or provoke, and it won't freaking happen! 10:31 - Pay attention to the signs... 10:43 - Clearly did not understand that if they see a truck turning from far away, they just slow the hell down and let them be, and move on. But no, dickwad decided the truck "Cut him off" so he wanted to be known and honked the horn like a little bitch. 💀 Welp, there we go. I'm sure I'm gonna get some hate on a few things but who knows. 🤷♂
Also, I see a lot of people driving in other people's blind spots then they get mad when someone cuts them off. I will never understand people camping out in someone else's blind spot. Talk about narcism: you have no concept of someone else's view, literally.
0:45 Bad weight distribution. Here, the weight was almost all to the back, making the rear wheels of the truck literally float. 2:20 You cut to the inside of a curve when racing. You only race on a race track. You are NOT on a race track. You have NO reason nor justification to cut corners. 4:45 On the right, there is NO stop sign, just a pole holding nothing. So, not running a stop sign.
1:10 there is no scenario this trucker could be at fault. no matter what when you are passing on a 2 lane road you must yield to ONCOMING TRAFFIC. if there had been a head on collision the passing vehicle would be at fault 100% of the time. not only was it a no passing zone for their lane but the passing vehicle did not yield to oncoming traffic either. two illegal moves in one go.
1:15 How can he even ask himself if he would be at fault? This trucker must have had one of those driving instructors that believes that you are at fault if any accident under the sun happens within a mile of you.

💯 they tried to cut off a car with right of way and then think the other person is at fault. People like this shouldn’t have gotten their license in the first place.
my first reactino was literally to rewind and rewatch and say "What stop sign?!"
9:00 I'm impressed by that trailer hitch. That was a full rotation.
How is that even possible? Maybe the hitch broke and was just held on by safety chains. Edit: Yeah, there's definitely safety chains on there.

The last one had PLENTY of time to slow down. It's a big vehicle taking the turn. Sometimes, you have to use that thing called "brakes". Get used to it.
Clearly a two way stop sign.
It looks like its a 2-way but its a 4-way. If you look at the left theres a stop sign and you can see the faint markings of the (whats supposed to be) white line near stop signs, regardless, she should have also been paying attention.

Almost every one of those lane changing clips - the person videoing was equally at fault. You speed up into someone's blind spot and you get hit.
@@redstang5150you are supposed to check to see if someone is there, or may potentially be there.

Doesnt matter whose in the right, matters is im alive
@@Flarflenugen I agree - you're "supposed" to be making sure the lane is clear before pulling into it, but in general there was some questionable examples in that video. If I'm driving 15mph faster than the lane right of me, I'm very aware that people might not be expecting me to come up into their blind spot that fast. Also, if I'm in someone's blind spot and they signal and start changing lanes, depending on the spacing, letting up on the gas a little to let someone in doesn't put me out that much.
@@redstang5150 If only everyone on the road has this logic.
1:17 The semi definitely would not be at fault. That truck passed on a solid line/no pass zone.
He's out there working, give him a break!
10:48 - Same here, dude's just doing his job, give him a break.
Someone in a U-Haul might also be new to the city, like _first visit_ new.

8:00 typical childish telsa driver
@1:10 No - your obligation while being passed is to maintain your speed. Nothing more.
And as long as OP was able to prove they were maintaining their speed, they would've been found innocent.
In this case it is a little more iffy because he started switching lanes in an intersection.
or you could be courteous and wait for all the lanes to be clear. thats how it is taught in the drivers handbook after all.

Do not use the tow vehicle brakes.

Some of these cammers were just being entitled.
We share the road! There is no place for your ego on public roads.
The cam car at 1:23 wasn't speeding as you claim. The speed limit was 35 and the car was going 35.

I feel like giving my opinion on each of the accidents:
0:03 - It's too obvious who's at fault.
Use evasive maneuvers.
1:45 - Your phone is your death wish. Put it down.
2:17 - Minivan had WAY too much space...
2:29 - Here's a fun fact: if one or the other moved for whomever, that would've made no difference. Asshats have their ego bigger than their pub hair sized brain.
2:55 - Same statement as 1:45.
3:05 - Patience is the most important aspect of driving. This douchebag clearly did not have any. Always wait until your LANE is clear!
3:20 - Double lane and fog don't mix with overtake at ALL. They should have their license revoked.
This guy didn't get the memo.
4:51 - First of all, get a better camera. Second, it's an attempted hit-and-run, duh. Seriously, if you get in an accident, DO NOT DRIVE AWAY. It will only make things worse and you end up paying more fees!
5:49 - If you see someone trying to switch lanes, slow down and wait until they do so, then go on your way.
If he had stopped at that red light, he would have no damages.
9:16 - I mean... I guess he really likes trees.
9:36 - You were not almost side-swiped.. but the Range Rover did do an asshole move and turn too early, but either way, no one was hurt and no accidents occurred... yet.
9:48 - Trucker should've waited, but at least the cam guy wasn't an asshole about it.
Welp, there we go.
0:35 ah yes a cloud of smoke with debris flying, lets keep driving as close as possible...
