The guy who does Krang actually LOOKS like Krang!
I just love how close the old cast is to each other and how goofy they were together off set. It just made the turtles relationship in the original show that much better and seem as if they were actual brothers. When Towsend and Cam started jumping around in the beginning when Andre tried to introduce them, that was seriously the best part.

Townsend Coleman will ALWAYS be the greatest Michelangelo!. I love ya Greg, robbie and Wayne but Townsend had the perfect dude voice and made Cowabunga a household saying when i was kid haha
That was so awesome, it's so crazy seeing voice actors live like that, transitioning from their normal voice into a character's voice like that unprompted. Always been something I found fascinating with that medium. Not to mention it's great to see them doing another special where the original 80s Turtles get brought back for action, like they did with Turtles Forever. Only a shame we couldn't have the original Shredder there to join, too.
RIP James Avery. Would have been cool for original Shredder to be there, too. :(
it is really awesome how even though the original voice actors clearly aged and are older than they used to be they are still having a blast doing what they're doing. still young in heart

That was great, nice seeing the original voice actors back together.
Talk about a major nostalgia trip. It's been 30 years since we didn't hear the original TMNT cast and it was truly awesome. All it was missing was the gang saying COWABUNGA at the end but like Michaelangelo said it was "Bodacious"

Dear god.....whenever I hear Rob Paulsen speak, at least 80+ cartoon characters from my past come flooding into my brain. He voiced SO MANY classics from the 80s and 90s. Love it!!!

There will never be anything quite like the original 1980's series of the Ninja Turtles. It's so good to see that my favorite childhood cartoon is still so popular and loved. Though I didn't care too much for the final seasons of the original series, and that boring new villain that kept coming back again and again. If only He-Man would make a comeback as well. And one that doesn't suck, like the New Adventures Of He--Man did. That show was a disgrace.
That's so cool that you got to meet all the original cast. I think I'd probably be so nervous meeting them, even though they all seem really friendly. Grew up watching TMNT 89. Still hold a special place for me.

Andre should have taken the chance to speak with original Kraang using his own version of Kraangs voice and have a Kraang off,haha!!
Leo will always be my favorite. I loved in the episode when 2012 Leo asks what Shredder wants and 1987 Leo answers very deadpan “he wants to take over the world or turn us into balloons... whatever!”

Andre, I hope you read this. This video was posted shortly after my father passed away last night. This brought brought tears of happiness in a dark time. The 80's turtles were a cartoon that I watched with constantly and he would always make sure I got the toys, games, and seen the movies. This cast is the only one be ever knew as the turtles and unfortunately he we not be able to see the reunion. However you did bring a much needed smile to me. Thank you very much.
I know it's a long shot. But if you speak with any of the cast again let them know they created a strong family bond all those years ago and know they are doing the same today.
Dude this means so much to see these guys all together watching them do the voices. I had the original turtle van and techno drome. Man.. sitting on the floor eating cheerios watching this on a giant square box of a tv... the days.

It's so... refreshing to see these 50-60-year-olds acting like they're not a day over 7. Just because you've grown up, that doesn't mean you have to grow up.
The original 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. I still remember how I felt back then, watching new episodes, and I love how it was a story driven show. The only thing that sucks, is that some of the voices today, kind of sounded not the same, like they did back in the day. like other people have said though, I still can't wait to watch this episode, the first day it airs.
I'm so looking forward to this it's a fan's dream and I'm sorry that James Avery (God rest his soul) the voice of Shredder couldn't be here to have a part in this but if he were there's no doubt about it he would reprise his role for this, we're gonna miss you big guy.

It's kinda weird that Michaelangelo grew up in New York, but has a San Fernando Valley accent.
Its kinda weird that he is a mutated, talking, Turtle that does martial arts, too...lol
It's obviously an affectation he picked up from watching a lot of stolen cable. He must've seen a surfer on TV and thought "that dude sounds totally tubular; I've gotta start talking like that".

I loved how everytime the 80's TURTLES would fight,their '80's theme would start up because that is what made the original show so unforgettable in the first place.Strange how 2D Donatello and the TURTLES PRIME did not remember each other from the TMNT FOREVER,huh??
That Pat Fraley guy is pretty impressive. I remember seeing something about Galaxy High (anyone remember it? :P ) where one of the voice actors talks about doing a character by speaking on an inhale. And it seems like Krang uses that too, but also mixes that with a lot of other acrobatics. Very cool.

The entire original cast is my favorite, followed closely by the cast for the 2003 version. IMO, these two are the best, because the first one started it all, of course, and the 2003 version took it to another level with deep storylines that went across episodes.

That was so awesome!! You are lucky to have seen all of them record their voices once again. But of course their is one cast member from the 80's that is missing...... The Shredder himself, James Avery. It would have been cool to have him appear in this special as well. RIP James "The Shredder" Avery.

These always warmed my heart seeing Voice Actors who hasn't seen each others in years and these guys it's been over 30 years not counting that one cameo appearance. They had a perfect opportunity to reprise their roles in Turtles Forever back when Shredder's VA was alive and healthy but 4kids had to go the cheap route and uses their own VA's who were off at time Leonardo being the biggest defender but some of them did do a good job sounding close to the original as possible with Ralpheal and Michelangelo being the best out of the group including 80's April O'Neil.
But I have one complain before the episode premiere why couldn't they try to make the animation and graphics of the 80's like it was back in the 1980's Turtles Forever did it while not perfect they try real damn hard to emulate the 80's style and animation.
Hm. I wonder if Krang will explain what happened to shredder. I figured since James Avery was dead they would bring in Jim Cummings since he was closest in recreating the voice for the 80s series. Guess not tho.

This is why I love the new TMNT. Sure I miss the 1980s turtles but the new ones are always dropping references and doing cool stuff like this!!! It's a good fun show.

I admit 2003 was my favorite version but Pat Fraley does such a good job as Krang and Stockman in 1987 series I'm just glad they decided to include him

I doubt it'll happen. The classic TMNT will always be a classic, but every other TMNT cartoon is forgettable. I guarantee you in 15 years people will forget the 2012 cartoon existed, but they'll still be talking about the classic from the '80s.

Donatello does sort of have a catch-phrase because he was the one who first used the line "Turtles fight with honor!".
That's a good one. I remember donatello saying "that was my favorite bo" many times whenever his bo staff broke. :)
