They can't. It would put them in dire legal trouble if they did. There would be a class action lawsuit for claiming they've been opening up and cleaning every console when we obviously know they haven't. Right now they're at the point where they have to keep going with the lie and pretend everything is ok and hope the media stops going over them. Which the media won't lol. They're just digging themselves further and further into a grave.

Just letting you know, any firmware before 9.00 can be modded and usually sells for more. If I were you, I would ask for a partial refund.

do you if the wifi antenna is good on these? i remember trying to hook one up to super fast internet and it wouldnt even recognize my router. kepts showing me 2g connections.

Regarding that "cosmetic flaw" (the missing rubber foot), it was probably removed because that rubber can swell and trigger the eject button infinitely. This is both annoying, and prevents you from playing games on the disc drive. The easiest way to remedy this IS to remove the foot.
can confirm I had to do that on my old ps4 when it would randomly wake me up at 2am to do that nonsense.

I can't believe they didn't send the console in a factory reset state. There was still somebodies profile on there! What if you did sign into his profile and he had his psn/card details stored so you can just buy games on his account. They aren't even protecting customer data that's illegal. I can't believe how shady this company is.
I’m honestly shocked. Even for DkOldies who are an absolute disaster this is just a complete joke. After all the damage control they have been doing they still are a con. I thought after how basically everyone has caught on to their scams they may actually improve but no… they haven’t. Thank you for continuing to expose this company. I hope that class action law suit goes through and they get shut down.

6:25 that rubber foot was possibly removed because of the disc eject button. I had to partially remove mine because the eject touch button wraps to the bottom and over time as the rubber foot got weaker it pressed into the eject button and would randomly go off

Occasionally he goes over LukieGames. Although it's not as fun because while they do mess up in ways that they shouldn't from what I've seen is really nothing to be angry about, annoyed but not angry. DKOldies has made me mad with how poorly it's managed they can't seem to do anything right while pretending they do. I'm not a LukieGames shopper either just calling it the way I see it.

I think not wiping the data & lying about being refurbished is a very large issue.
keep on that firmware , any version 9.00 and lower can be jailbroken so they sell for a higher price.

DKOldies never fails to disappoint
they do they sell "refurbished consoles" and never clean them. The prices on their items are also insanely high a playstation pro can be bought for 200 here in the Netherlands on a website minimum (without games 1 controller) And can be bought cheaper if you bid on it and seller accepts
Also found a slim for 100 without controller just the console and cable.

My PlayStation 3 Super Slim has a broken sliding top and I jerryrigged the hell out of it to make it somewhat functional and it’s better than what DKOldies calls “refurbished” the plastic on mine is badly damaged and missing some gears but still opens and shuts when vertical. Horizontally it doesn’t open well. Glad I got my PS4 from my teacher and not DKOldies. If I ordered a PS4 Slim 1TB (what I currently have) from DKOldies, I would’ve gotten an OG PS4 and a DoubleShock 4 and the HDD in the console would’ve been an old 20GB PS3 HDD. Good video man hope to see another video about them

It's almost like they sent you a completely different order. I will say this, as far as mark ups go, the price advertised isn't nearly as insane a mark up compared to the usual. From what I can tell most people seem to be trying to sell PS4 slims for around $200 right now. So DKoldies only having a 20-33% mark up is more in line with what I would expect from a business with some overhead.
That said, still better off buying off ebay when they don't bother to clean or refurbish the inside or send you the right thing at all.
at that point, at least you know you are getting what you pay for, and for a better price
Ironically enough Gamestop just dropped the price of most used PS4s. You can get a Pro for the same price that DKOldies charges for slims
I don't consider myself an inventory management connoisseur but wouldn't it make sense to plastic seal the console after refurbishing it? Idk how long these consoles are stored for and their shorts make it look like it can easily catch dust, dirt and grime. Then again, they aren't refurbishing all their consoles so I can't say they got dirty again because how they are stored.

Just don't buy it from them. My older daughter moved out a couple years ago, and at Christmas I got her a ps4 from ebay. Made sure to check seller rep and that there were good pics and it was immaculate when she received it. Some good luck involved, but make sure you do your diligence. That all said DKoldies is utter bullshit.
I'd say just buy from a reputable source, I'm pretty sure there are sellers out there who actually refurbish and clean.

I noticed in one of their videos they pulled an Xbox from a box of stuff they bought. It had a 120gb HDD and the dude at dk oldies said oh I bet there is a bunch of games on there. I gathered from that they are planning on selling it as an Xbox with pre installed games. Even tho someone else bought and owns those games.

I almost bought an n64 from Dkoldoes but backed out when I’m my friend bought an nes that was labeled “mint condition” and when he got it it was all scuffed and screeched and didn’t even turn on
So the old adage of any press is good press applies here. You see, the more videos UA-camrs make by buying "refurbished" consoles from from DK the more videos UA-camrs make and the more money DK makes.
The only obvious conclusion here is that they grabbed the wrong PS4 for your order. Yours was fresh out of the refurbishment center, this one was waiting in line to be thoroughly cleaned and tested. Simple mistake. Obviously. Lol

I am 100% sure that this is not OEM controller. You can buy fake one that looks like original, only way to verify it is to open the controller up and see the battery.

Don't force a disc in -- that's how the fuses blow. Open it up, clean the disc drive as best possible (especially the rollers) and test again.
I brought a PS4 pro (newest model with figure 8 AC input) with 2 controllers and 8 physical games (no sports games another plus) for 180. That's including tax and shipping. Everything was in really good shape and run cool and quiet. Opened up the fan and only used a few Q-tips to clean it since it wasn't that dirty. DK doesn't do anything to their consoles and charge extremely high prices.
