I am a part of a pretty large expat community in Saint Petersburg. Most people here from our group are actually men from the US and the EU countries who have Russian wives and pretty much the same story. They got married, moved to the West, lived there for several years and after returned back to Russia for the cost of living/quality of living reasons. Dont want to presume anything, because a lot of people are finding happiness abroad too, but, Sveta, keep in mind that option just in case. But for now, best wishes in your journey and I am eagerly waiting for your blogs from the States ✨️

@@natyrusa Actually public services think otherwise. Sorry proving your theory wrong :) "The train, a knockoff of Lastochka (swallow) that used to be manufactured by Siemens AG before they ceased operations and stopped servicing their trains in Russia in the wake of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, was supposed to leave Nizhny Tagil at 10.54 am but was 38 minutes late.
This is unusual because railways in Russia are highly reliable or as we say, “at least the trains are running on time.”
After superhuman effort, the train managed to depart from Nizhny Tagil at a snail’s pace. It stopped at Staratel station and expired.
After some time, the train driver confessed that there were “technical problems” and recommended that passengers walk the remaining 248 miles.
Sverdlovsk Railways issued a statement that the breakdown was due to cold weather conditions. They expected tropical heat but unexpectedly snow fell in Siberia. Who would’ve known?"

More expensive? 😂 You obviously don't realize that average Russians suffer and are challenged by the prices there, based on typical Russian salaries... no different than many in the West do.
You are basing the 'inexpensiveness' of living in Russia, while looking at your weekly paycheck, wherever you live.
You are not putting things in perspective.
You sound like Tucker Carleson 😂
Russians, when the Soviet Union collapsed, were given the titles to the flats that they had been living in, for no cost.
That is the only economic advantage..
BTW, did you realize that you can't drink the tap water in Russia? You have to buy bottled water. The tap water is not filtered nor rid of bacteria.

Dear Sweet Sweet Svetlana, Marvelous look you at 177 cm, which converts to 5' 9-1/2" in the imperial system of measurement. That is supermodel territory. The only trouble you will have anywhere is being noticed A LOT! Not knowing what your asperations are, maybe modeling is in your future. Svety, I think I have noticed that you are speaking in terms of "after arriving in the U.S." very frequently, and it alarms me. To me the way you express your plans, are of finality. It causes me to think you are worrying about your mobility at some point after you arrive in the U.S. I believe you will be able to travel the world over once you are an American citizen. (presuming by fiancé you plan to marry) I seem to find that there is some apprehension in your voice or choice of words about your plans. Barring escalation of the "situation" you should be able to return to Russia when you desire. If you live in America, you will not have a large group of familiar faces to spend time with, so I sincerely hope you are not considering that you will be cutting ties to your home country. I believe no one should do that. I have followed other Russian UA-camrs who've left Russia. One left under duress after attending protests and posting about it. That person doesn't give the impression of ever planning on returning. What you are doing is perfectly legal and hopefully morally acceptable. You are already worldly I believe, since you worked for UAE. (Yes?) You are familiar with traveling. Please consider what I have tried to convey and find solace in your new found Freedom from your new identity. As my last thought: I only know one man who married a Russian woman and I have heard nothing negative about them except that she is not used to the level of Freedom she is experiencing here. They have been married for 20 yrs this year. Good Times Ahead, Godspeed. ben/ michigan

Russia sucks compared to the US, I will never go back to Russia. You have to visit San Francisco, there is an area called Russian Hill and you will feel at home there. It’s a Russian community with Russian stores and the people talk Russian. Google Russian Hill San Francisco and you can read about it 👍❤️

Why did you answer my first post?
I was talking to Svetlana; not you.
I assumed it was Svetlana I was talking to so I didn't look at the name on the post.
Why do you computer freaks interrupt people who are trying to talk to someone else?
That is considered rude. Because of your rude interrupting; there was a misunderstanding.
Next time when someone tries to talk to Svetlana on her own channel: butt out.
