Im a c7 quadriplegic. Being paralyzed is hard. Sometimes you just really want to be able bodied. I got into fpv because of you and Bardwell and its been an incredible addition to my mental well-being. Thanks Drew. I have a Skyliner Mk3 on the way as well as a Tanq. I am so excited for this because I have always dreamed of a 3.5 inch drone with the capability of turning into a Cinewhoop and still being able to do freestyle with a hd camera! Can't wait to see more and hopefully I can save up enough to get one for myself and see how EPIC it will really be! Love your vids Drew and as a 13 year old who has been flying fav for almost 11 months now, you are a huge inspiration for me. Thanks!

Drew, add braces! One of the things that I noticed after a crash with the skylite Or even after some heavy ripping the arms seem to shift from their original position. With 3.5 inch Propellers, if the arms shift then they start touching each other and I can hear the clicking while I’m flying.

no mention of plate thickness or overall weight here or on the website when buying. We need to know these things especially for ppl that stay sub 250. I feel this isn't really sub 250 and at that point your better off with the full size.

    • @LeDribFPV

Oh no it’s definitely not going to be sub 250
I will get some of that information About thicknesses and weight added to the website.

@@LeDribFPV Thanks Love you Drib! Just when you see these little drones being make it gets us sub250 flyers excited. Been working on designing a nice sub250 basher so been testing all sorts of builds like the apex 3 inch. thing is with replaceable arms the extra weight makes it fly worse unless you going to put bigger and more powerful components to fight the weight and at that point its so heavy that everything becomes more difficult for light weight flyers. Also the added weight makes it all break easier as well. There is a real art to find the right weight to strength in the sub250 category. Anyways that's my little 2cents! Nice to meet you though been a big fan for years ;) You and bubby got that flow!

I´m getting that correct - the outdoor part is with 1507, 3,5" props, 1500mAh PLUS the action cam?
    -
I find it interesting, since I´m flying the out-of-the-box GEPRC Dolphin which runs 1507´s, but on 4" props and I use 850mAh.
So I guess this build has significant more fling / momentum or how ever you call it.
But Considering the 20A AIO, I think that is sort of the limit of what the Dolphin can do. I don´t think, the ESC´s would like more load.

I fly with a 1500 funfly with no action cam and get like 7 to 8 min flight times. Really fun quad to fly digital on this small form factor. Flight time so long I’m in danger of getting blisters on my thumbs. :-P
One request, throw up those profiles for flying with and without the ducts in the finally released Betaflight. I’m struggling a little bit with ducts on. Might be a weight issues with throwing a hero 9. I’ve had a couple scares of flyaway but I know it’s because I rushed to Betaflight 4.3 early and didn’t know what I was doing. So easy to throw on the ducts but with the Caddx and DJI goggles I think I’m figuring out how to change the profile in goggles but I don’t feel like my ducted tune feels right. I’m sure you would want a different tune for flying ducted and no ducts right? Especially if you want to got super light on ductless and heavy on those cinematic flights with higher end camera. Actually I wanted to ask about those 2203.5 motors. If I really want to push that Hero9 with ducts, is it worth the upgrade to those motors?

Best of both worlds and no need to remove the ducts because they are guards, not these silly ducts that really don't do anything more than guards do. The ducts on this are from 2018 or 19. From a professional licensed drone pilot, have to say, I absolutely love my SkyLite!
I printed the ducts and spent the first 3 days training with them on, until I crashed into a 4x4 and broke the additional duct support arm you install with the ducts. I do have to say I crashed into that 4x4 over and over as they were supports for a sign about 20" apart from each other.
Yesterday was my first day flying with the GemFan Hurricane 3.5" props on and it was a beast. I've been flying with the Tattu 850Mah 75C and the Rotor Riot 1500Mah 100C (crazy fast with these). Just posted a video last night of it here, "Day 4 of FPV Training".

Only pro pilots or guys with lots of dough fly places with all of this concrete. I simply can't afford it or do I want to go through all of the repairs and parts needed to fly these type of places. I fly parks with grass and trees. More fun IMO, because not so much risk of breaking stuff. And, they are nature made, not man made slabs of concrete! Course, these reviewers get most of their parts for free or really cheap.
Nice product. Ducts seem like they're from 2018 - 19, but the quad seems solid. I do fly 3.5" with an 850mah 4S, and not a super heavy 1500. You can tell a guy who's addicted to 5" drones because even though he can afford to fly places he knows he will continually have to replace a lot of parts at, he doesn't own a single 850mah 4S lipo, that is the perfect size for THE DRONE HE DESIGNED AND SELLS! LOL...kinda ridiculous. 5" are so drastically overrated! Loud and big and you need huge space, and the KARENS will be a complainin'! That's pretty much a given.
I suggest people buy a quad for the places they want to fly. Scout the parks and areas that are close to your house or work. Then buy the size of quad suitable to these favorite spots near you. Not just because a ton of reviewers fly 5". ;)
