Helene Fische never was and never will be a strong vocalist no matter how good the try to set her in the right scene. She is doing „Schlager“ in German Music. And thougj it is very successful, its not good and not sophisticated music.

I have never experienced a grander live performance in my life. How she sings "a broken hallelujah" at 3:30, is chilling. The standing ovation at the end shows what anyone who watches these feels. They need to shoot another rocket into space with this audio / video etched into a gold disc.

Ich habe dies im Original von Leonard Cohen auf der Trauerfeier meines Sohnes (36) spielen lassen ... doch mit Helene ist es noch intensiver. Meine Tränen laufen nur so über mein Gesicht, wenn ich es höre.

Auch wenn man 'Schlager' (auch von ihr) so im Allgemeinen nicht mag, Helene Fischer mit ihrem vielfältigem Können - "Hallelujah" ist das allerbeste Beispiel - muss man(n) mögen - nein, lieben! (Dann hat sie am Schluß noch dieses feine Tremolo eingesetzt, wunderbar!)

@@pattor77 danke für den link! eben jetzt habe ich mir jeff bukley angehört. und auch nochmals helene fischer. und natürlich leonard cohen him self. weil ich gerade dabei war auch noch den priester. also mit verlaub, wir kommen nicht zusammen was "niemand hat das lied besser interpretiert ..." betriftt. von diesem song gibt es unzählige interpretation, manche sind gut bis sehr gut, einige besonders, aber zu sagen die oder der ist der bessere - na ja ... verstehen kann ich deine wahrnehmung schon, denn mir geht es mit "shallow" aus "a star is born" mit bradley cooper & lady gaga so :-) ... auch kommt für mich bei "the rose" an bette midler niemand heran ... ich denke es ist und bleibt subjektiv; was letzlich eh ok ist. liebe grüße, peter (für mich ist es immer fein mich mit anderen musikbegeisterten auszutauschen)

I love Helena Fischer and her Ave Maria sung in German is too good for words. This is fantastic but ever so slightly oversung (sadly) and if you fancy an alternative then I really urge you to watch the Official Video of Jeff Buckley (R.I.P.) singing this song. Its staggeringly beautiful. One of the best male voices to have ever lived!
