Superb video Adam, hope to get more basher in to this tuning. I am not sure, but Adam, can you repost, or maybe point me to a similar video but for DIFFS, needs to be shown to the mass to 😍😍😍
Great information video thankx I'm coming for that ad2 motor combo an break inn soon i think guys just go beyond what they think they need to get it right an get so far off that its a waste cause they go back to what they had set up wise
Question: I have finished to assamble a mbx8. It goes too much from the back. It almost make a spin. Which would be the first steps to do with the set up? Camber? TOE? Please help
I'm not a pro but I'd go to a thinner center differential oil in that case, that's where the front/rear Horse Power dispersion gets determined. I might also thicken the rear diff oil and or thin out the front diff oil. The center diff change will have a higher effect though. I'm pretty sure that I learned that from Adam lol
@@robertshaver4432 Thank you very much. When you say thinner center diff should be a higher number of the silicone or a lower number ? Greetings from Argentina .
@@maximilianochelala9880 lower numbers are thinner: I've a differing buggy so can't help with my set-up but I run 3000 in the rear 7000 in the center and 5000 in the front. So... if I needed to do what you need to do on your buggy... I'd take the center diff down to 5000 which is thinner than the 7000 that's in it. Be careful changing the front diff oils where thicker softens entry steering by "resisting" when one wheel wants to spin faster than the other is primarily what your "adjusting " via oil thicknesses there. Typically for the center diff though is that, the more powerful your motor is, the thinner that you want your center diff oils to be or you'll spin your back tires too much: The front tires are always going to spin under acceleration, how much "carry along effect" is provided "to" the rear tires is determined in the center diff. Hope this helped!
@@maximilianochelala9880 Your very welcome, the easiest explanation is that a super thick oil would act more like a straight axle that would allow "no slippage" and all tires would have to roll at the exact same speeds. Thin oils allow slippage and tire speed differences but how much slippage or tire speed differences is allowed is dependent on the oils thickness. The center diff is confusing there because the front tires will (almost) always be spinning faster than the rear tires (for lack of traction) so the rear tires only get what the front tires allow via the "speed difference" within the center differential. The simplest explanation? lol I was wrong!

Thank you. Excellent simple explanation for beginners.

Thank you for these tips. I greatly appreciate it.

As always thanks Adam, and keep em coming👍🏻
Thank you Charles!
Always great videos, Adam! Keep it simple!

Awesome, my pleasure!
Your videos are soo educating man keep it up. TY
Thank you very much, my pleasure!
Adam great job as always. Ordering a new mbx8e in the next few days. I’ll hit you up for some set up. 😀
Sounds good. Talk to you soon!
Hey Adam, have you ever used pistons with angled holes? If so in what conditions would you use them?
I’ve tried them, but prefer the MIP Bypass 1 pistons.
That is Gold right there. Thanks Adam 👍😎
My pleasure, thank you!
How does the number of holes in the piston affect the car? Would it be the same as changing the size ie: bigger = more holes or no?
Typically when you add holes, you also reduce the size of the holes. I'll try to do a video on this as well.

If there was a tuning class I’d sign up.
:) I try to do a few clinics throughout the year.
Thanks

Once I tried your mip setup, i haven't had to touch my shock package.
:) Very nice!
What piston/oil setup for like indoor flowood vs outdoor type track?
Send me an email to adrake@mugenracing.com and I'll send you my set-up from Bring the Heat.
You forgot to mention that temperature can affect shock oils. That's correft right? Ty

I'm using the stock springs in the Futaba 7PX.
