This Force update has completely changed how I play Force. Before I simply held back and away from the enemy and waited for the best opportunity to do my compounds and PB. Now since using compounds extends Photon Flare and they both have been buffed, I use them all the time! Usually the moment I get them! I finally feel like THE pure tech DPS.
There's only one nitpick, however, Fomelgion and Zandion used to give a large flash of that element when the elemental orbs were combined. Big gust of fire from Fomelgion and light arcing from Zandion. And Zandion used to leave the ground arcing with lightning. I really liked that effect. It made Zandion feel very powerful. Barantsion has been visually improved. Being able to see how far the effect reaches is nice and its effect when the orbs are combined can be seen still, although instead of ice it's no ice & light spears.

Barta blot usage is gonna be fun! Always liked that one. The new Gigrants customization seems strong too. Great vid as always!

I think guard frames as a tech option are a little more useful than you suggest; you're correct that we don't want to use them as a primary parry, but if you're getting revoke pursuits frequently enough then you'll often be in a position where an attack is incoming right after using one. In that specific case, a tech parry lets you reapply your wand element and block the hit at the same time whereas other parry options leave you throwing out elementless damage; for that reason I'm actually pretty excited for Gifoie type 2 due to reducing both the downtime on revoke pursuit building and the vulnerability window after using it to parry. There's also niche cases where Wand Lovers is active and you'd prefer to chase with skip beat than throw out two PAs (usually due to vertical movement requirements), in which case facilitating that with a tech parry can be valuable.
That said, I think you're correct about taking Gigrants type 3; the damage is appreciably better and it was already doing better than Grants up close! I've instead taken Grants type 2 and simply use that as a tech parry when it's appropriate alongside gap-closing duties since I feel like Grants type 3 doesn't offer enough with how infrequently we cast Grants in general (though I'm using a controller-and-keyboard setup that lets me stick high cooldown things like photon blast, compound techs, wand lovers, and overemphasis on number keys; controller-only may run into issues with an overloaded sub-palette that way)
Note about Gibarta type 3: If you hit a Barta first (usually because you're using your first technique + basic attack to gap close) then two Gibarta type 3 shots will put you at five "charges", not four, meaning you only need two more techs to get to stage 2 the natural way. If you're then using Barta type 2 you can segue into the double sigil pop combo that usually only occurs after Barantsion. I'm not sure exactly when this is optimal, but it's something to keep in mind if you've tagged the enemy with a single Barta prior to reaching the stage 1 sigil for some reason.
Overall, I feel like this wave of tech customization has really opened up reasons to use both techs of the three affected elements during the same fight (the most "useless" is Foie, and it's still solid as the fire tech option when the enemy is out of Gifoie range) and I'm hoping the last wave of customs does the same, especially for the wind techs which have ended up in kind of an awkward spot since we stopped needing charged Zan for element reapplication. (Megid has better uncharged damage especially with type 3 while Gimegid is good for spending dark orbs prior to firing Fomelgion or targeting fast moving enemies, and Zonde/Gizonde have always been a great pair for TE gameplay)

Honestly that Barta > 5 stack optimization is really smart! I didn't even think of it~
The damage discrepancy between uncharged megid and gimegid has actually been lowered in this patch! It's still there but we're talking like 2 potency/s, barely worth mentioning.
But yeah I get'cha, really wish we had a wider weapon palette because I really wanna use both Techniques per element now and palette swapping because of compounds is a bit too cumbersome qwq

I feel like I can finally use Te and Fo nearly equally at this point, and actually confidently use them in the next ultra hard 4p quest without being a liability. so far I just use the type 3 on all Gi techs, because that seems to be the only setup that works well for both classes.
Fo Rod feels real nice to play now, and I think rod impact having a parry with any element that builds compounds and shoots photon bullets for double blot gain is a severely underrated change that nobody mentions. It's crazy to stand in a continuous attack's zone and not only be completely safe, but also build so many resources at once, just by holding one button with no timing needed.
PP conversion adding a fast charge effect and working with EX Lively are both really good changes. EX Risky is way less useful now, though.
I would have liked Photon Bullet to stack to 3, but I'll take 2 also.
I'm happy they added CV to PBs and WAs, but they really should've made more techs have effects that respond to CV, like type 1 megid. I'm relieved they didn't take that one away, in fact.
Overall I'm very pleased with the Fo changes, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone there.

Fo is and absolute powerhouse now and I'm here for it! Really glad the devs ended up making it a selfish DPS and not trying to justify its weakness with some party support skill. Not sure how useful talis is on Fo now tho, on paper it looks weaker than Rod...

at first, seeing the massive potency decrease on type 2 gifoie, i was discouraged but after trying type 3 i was reminded how miserably slow gifoie is to use, so even though type 3 is probably better there is no way i could turn away from type 2 anymore...

Did they give a timeline for the next wave of tech arts?
Also Force feels really good imo now, I keep flipping between it and Techter depending on my mood or the fight.

Hmm. Base of understand Fo is in Pso2 Base. Why NGS.....WHY......If we're gonna compare it to FF. Then Fo is Black mage in game. Yes I know it can be healing everyone. But most of the video that I watch on Base. Is that there an item for healing oneself..(Note I don't if you still can get it or not)...Most of the players I see in Base is mostly don't get hit must unless it is there build for it.
