Hello, I just completed our ROM documents and received them back from san francisco consulate. They certified them but they did not send a apostille. All the videos i have seen on youtube everyone has received an apostille back with a gold seal. Why did they not send us one? We were married online in Utah which is why san fran had jurisdiction over it but all videos from 2019 through 202 on youtube people did get an apostille from the consulate. Why did we not? thank you

If the state has access to validate the authenticity of the document issued by a different state, then they should be able to process the apostille. I recommend that you call the apostille office. Although the process is very simple, there are agencies that you can hire. Look up apostille in your area and you would likely see a few.

Hello! In my case, I had my multiple copies of the same exact document, and I only paid once...But if they are unique documents (ie. SPA, Birth Cert, Employment, etc), then you'll have to pay a separate authentication fee per document. The $3 fee was only for GA...it may be more depending on where you're at. Hello@@rojyu2775you can make your own SPA, use the form ng Phil Embassy kung meron sila, or go to the nearest law office and get one typed for you, as long as it clearly states the purpose of your SPA. SPA is only limited to what is indicated on the SPA and can't go beyond that. You will also need to have it notarized before getting it apostilled.

Hi Mac Mac, congratulations on you loan approval! Are you located in an Apostille country? if so, you don't need consulatization. you only need an apostille. So create your SPA (there's a ton of sample SPAs online). You can also work with a lawyer but I don't find that necessary. Then, get it notarized and then Apostilled in the country where you're at. It really depends on the requirement of the institution that required the authenticated document. In my case, they required the physical copy of the SPA and the apostille, so i sent them both (kahit photocopy lng) via fedex Always make sure to leave a copy with you in case something happens in the mail. I’ve also heard that recently, maybe due to covid, soft copies are deemed legally acceptable. But again, it’s always best to contact the institution first to be sure 😊
Hi! SPA basically gives someone the authority to do something on your behalf (ie. represent you). The SPA is the one that I had notarized and brought to the country clerk to be apostilled. I didn't need to present the Deed of Sale papers.

Pagawa ka po ng SPA, then get the SPA notarized sa bansa kung nasaan po kayo ngayon, then have that notarized SPA apostilled. you only need one apostille po.

Hello Jamie, you shouldn't need an SPA. Your sister should be able to get your birth certificate and get it authenticated on your behalf. Since Turkey is a member of the Apostille convention, it has to be apostilled by the DFA sa Philippines. Hope this helps! You can get your SPA by working with your lawyer, or by getting them online. In my case, I didn't need to hire a lawyer, I just went online and search for a good template to use. Then I had it notarized as discussed in the video. Hope this helps!

Yes, you could execute an SPA sa PA. There are several sample SPA online that you can reuse. I personally didn't hire a lawyer to type up my SPA, I did it on my own. Make sure your SPA clearly states what your mom can do on your behalf. Once you've typed up your SPA, go to a notary public to have it notarized. Once notarized, have it apostilled. Then you can mail both the signed and notarized SPA, and the Apostille document to the Philippines via your preferred courier.

Hello Lanie, Yes. In order for SPAs to be valid sa Philippines, it needs to be notarized. Now, most SPAs may require additional authentication or legalization, which was previously known as 'red ribbon'. If your notarized SPA needs to be authenticated, your mom only needs an Apostille. Hindi nya na kailangan pumunta sa Phil Embassy. She can simply go to Maryland Secretary of State para mag-pa Apostille. sos.maryland.gov/Certifications/Pages/default.aspx Hope this helps!

Hello Jomer, one apostille certificate per document type, regardless of the number of pages. Halimbawa, gusto mo mag pa-apostille ng SPA at Birth certificate. Since two types of documents yun, you need to pay 2x. And the $3 charge is for Georgia. It could be less or more depending on where you're at.

Hello Anna, I printed my own SPA. There's a lot of sample SPAs online depending on what you need. I didn't need to go to the embassy. Then I went to my bank para ipa-notarize. The other option is to hire a lawyer but I didn't find it necessary in my case.

Hi Mac Mac, congratulations on you loan approval! Are you located in an Apostille country? if so, you don't need consulatization. you only need an apostille. So create your SPA (there's a ton of sample SPAs online). You can also work with a lawyer but I don't find that necessary. Then, get it notarized and then Apostilled in the country where you're at. It really depends on the requirement of the institution that required the authenticated document. In my case, they required the physical copy of the SPA and the apostille, so i sent them both (kahit photocopy lng) via fedex Always make sure to leave a copy with you in case something happens in the mail. I’ve also heard that recently, maybe due to covid, soft copies are deemed legally acceptable. But again, it’s always best to contact the institution first to be sure 😊

Hi! SPA basically gives someone the authority to do something on your behalf (ie. represent you). The SPA is the one that I had notarized and brought to the country clerk to be apostilled. I didn't need to present the Deed of Sale papers.

Hello Cecile! It might be easier if you assign someone from the Philippines to transact on your behalf. That way, the process is a bit easier. Pagawa ka po ng SPA, then get the SPA notarized sa bansa kung nasaan po kayo ngayon, then have that notarized SPA apostilled. you only need one apostille po.

Hello. No, it can't apostilled in the USA. It has to be apostilled in the same country where the seal/notary was issued/signed.

Hello Jamie, you shouldn't need an SPA. Your sister should be able to get your birth certificate and get it authenticated on your behalf. Since Turkey is a member of the Apostille convention, it has to be apostilled by the DFA sa Philippines. Hope this helps! You can get your SPA by working with your lawyer, or by getting them online. In my case, I didn't need to hire a lawyer, I just went online and search for a good template to use. Then I had it notarized as discussed in the video. Hope this helps!

Yes, you could execute an SPA sa PA. There are several sample SPA online that you can reuse. I personally didn't hire a lawyer to type up my SPA, I did it on my own. Make sure your SPA clearly states what your mom can do on your behalf. Once you've typed up your SPA, go to a notary public to have it notarized. Once notarized, have it apostilled.
Then you can mail both the signed and notarized SPA, and the Apostille document to the Philippines via your preferred courier.

Hello Lanie, Yes. In order for SPAs to be valid sa Philippines, it needs to be notarized.
Now, most SPAs may require additional authentication or legalization, which was previously known as 'red ribbon'. If your notarized SPA needs to be authenticated, your mom only needs an Apostille. Hindi nya na kailangan pumunta sa Phil Embassy. She can simply go to Maryland Secretary of State para mag-pa Apostille. sos.maryland.gov/Certifications/Pages/default.aspx

Hello Jomer, one apostille certificate per document type, regardless of the number of pages.
Halimbawa, gusto mo mag pa-apostille ng SPA at Birth certificate. Since two types of documents yun, you need to pay 2x.
And the $3 charge is for Georgia. It could be less or more depending on where you're at.

Hello Anna, I printed my own SPA. There's a lot of sample SPAs online depending on what you need. I didn't need to go to the embassy.
Then I went to my bank para ipa-notarize. The other option is to hire a lawyer but I didn't find it necessary in my case.
