Cool train going fast too. Love the cabooses.😊. The DPUs make my day. Boy those Awesome NS locomotives can boogie. Wow. We like how you show different building and old history in your filming. Oh my those fur babies are just too cute. Love them. Thanks.😊
Great action at another cool location. Stack trains are the most un-aerodynamic of all. One article in Trains Magazine said one third of the power on a stack train goes to fighting wind resistance. Enjoyed it much, thanks JT!
Wow! That is some coal train, Jawtooth! Always happy to see the coal industry is far from dead. I noticed in the foreground remnants of the old wood pole and cable guardrails we once used on our highways, too.
😊the NS here get new trains international.Der ICE 3 NEO.😅they testing now. from mine town staitaway to Berlin, thats coool.😂 thanks for the video Brian, greetings from Tony en me. greetz:🍐Peer.
It's incredible the number of containers that are shipped by rail. That takes a whole lot of trucks off the road. And I never get tired of seeing the mountains of Pennsylvania. Such beautiful scenery. Great video today JT. Keep up the great work. 😊😊😊
I was part of this "Renaissance" of sorts Gary while at the Florida East Coast. The beauty of it is you still need truck at each end and those drivers get to work from home instead of sleeping in their truck while they cross the country back and forth.
Now that was a booking train video! Don't get to see too many tanker trains. That was a nice surprise. That was a nice vantage point on the that station. This video will go into my train list. Thank you for the video.
Tyrone, Pennsylvania is a terrific location to railfan. The sweeping S-curves through the town provide good views of the trains as they come and go past the former Pennsylvania Railroad passenger station. The trains that you caught at Tyrone, Pennsylvania were long and impressive. Thank you for stopping here to catch these trains, Jaw Tooth!
NS can put on a great show no matter what line it is. Their Pennsylvania line is very scenic and lots of great train watching locations. Loved the two cabooses, one PRR, one Conrail. Another great job JT.
Isn't Strasburg where the national train museum of pennsylvania is located? I always wanted to see this location, Thanks JT. Love the VARITY!!!!! WOW! alot of action in Tyrone , that's for sure!
One of those areas with enough props and angles and types of trains you don't have to go too far from the station you can get some really good action. From the Hollywood of the East JT finds the freight
Caught it on a day the museum was closed, bummer. Maybe next time. The cabooses were cool. Need 1 more in the middle. Since the railroads beginning to 1967 (when I was a kid) it was Pennsylvania. In 1968, 69, 70, maybe 71, it was Penn Central. 1972 and beyond it was Conrail. Although PC was a massive failure it was still major merging history between 2 railroad giants Pennsylvania and New York Central. Just my thoughts 😉.
When those trains round the bend through the Tyrone Station, their wheels screech like those on rapid transit cars. All those freight trans were booking and cruising right down the line. Tyrone, Pennsylvania could become a railroader's paradise.🙂
Great video again JT ....those double stacks just make it under the overpass on the lowerside closest to the railway platform.Love your videos ..from Australia.🚂
The purpose of the example inventory is to provide guidance on how a State/loca] agency should document and present its post-1987 03 SIP inventory for EPA
You asked about the SIP by the mile marker 222.2 here. The SIP stands for Signal Information Point, control cab signals. I was there in Tyrone a year ago but had not posted any videos from there, now you reminded me that I had them I might post soon. I enjoyed watching your video. Have a wonderful summer and Happy Rails To You :-))
NICE JAW TOOTH!!!!!!!!!! AT 13:00 , LISTEN TO THAT #5 BELL SQUEAK!!!!! I LOVE IT WHEN AC44C6M’swith K5LA’s WITH THE 2 AND 4A BELLS REVERSED, AND A LOUD AND PROMINENT #5 BELL!!!!!! NICE CATCH JAW TOOTH!!!!
Tyrone used to have a huge paper mill in town and it Stunk to high heaven. We used to hold out breath on the bus from Pittsburgh to State College (Penn State) going thru Tyrone!
Just down I-81 in Roanoke VA is a major NS hub, lots of trains every day. Plus Amtrak stops here several times per week. Lastly, steam locomotives 611 and 1228 are housed at the VA Museum of Transportation in downtown Roanoke.
Another good spot to see trains in central Pennsylvania is a place called Sunbury Pennsylvania, where two major railroads and several short line railroads meet. The two major railroads are both NS, but from different parts of Pennsylvania. Also, the spur line actually follows the Susquehanna River.
Here is something that might impress you. I live down the Rail Road line in the next town of Huntingdon. There are at least 3 of those trains every day 365 days a year. There is one that passes my house around 10am. One that passes my house around 2pm. And the last one I know of passes my house around 4:30 pm, Each train has at least 180 to 190 cars full of coal each time. It's hard to believe there is that much coal in the ground and is moved everyday by the rail road. I have no idea where all of that coal goes to. There may be a train of coal that passes my house at night. The trains run all night long and after dark I don't know what is going past my house.
Really nice catches there, Mr. Jawtooth! Been there a number of times just enjoying the sheer majesty of the passing trains. I've never seen a train ease its way through Tyrone, those NS boys always keep the hammer down. And whenever we've been there, it's always rained. Hope you enjoyed your stay!
My birthday is next Friday. I’ve been a fan for quite a while. I’ve gone through several accounts but I have always subbed to you, millennium force and multiple other railroad content channels. I’ve been a huge train fanatic since childhood. I always wanted to work for the railroad and where I’m at Union Pacific runs through here. We gets lots of trains per day and we have an old train station from 1890 I believe and the station is now my towns chamber of commerce building. It has a little area for train fans to watch trains go by. I even got a horn salute once there too. It would be really cool if you could come film some trains here sometime and check out the old depot/train station. Anyway keep doing what you’re doing. The content is great and can’t wait to see more.
Another great video JT! I love your Pennsylvania videos. I've been to Horseshoe Curve and after seeing your videos I want to check out Cassandra and Tyrone too. Cassandra is less than 30 miles from my home. Love seeing the dogs, I can't believe how big Loki is getting! Keep up the great work and may you have safe travels as you drive to shoot more great videos!
Greetings from Co Antrim Ireland! Tyrone should be pronounced TeRone, very sort e vowel, like T' Rone! I like your videos, we don't really see freight trains here in Ireland. Our longest unbroken train journey here is 100 miles between Belfast and Dublin!
Nice video, Tyrone is a great spot to hang out. Sure used to be back when I was at PSU. I remember having my scanner on and reliably being able to tell when an eastbound was coming by the detector at 225.9 going off for track 1. That meant that in a minute you'd see headlights coming from the right/west (if you face the tracks when on the platform).
Well... funny how that works, don't you think? I heard a lotta laughter... thought you said the 'Hysterical Society' there in Tyrone. Tyrone sounds like he'd be a dapper dude. I need to get mo' n better sleep B4 watchin' yer videos, Señor Jaws. Gracias por tu video. Sorry Bobby was late 2day, signed Bobby's Mom... not actually with him in Puebla, México...
That spur line gets about 4, 6 or 8 NS trains daily, sometimes early in the morning or late at night. I don't know how many times the short line railroads use it. You might be there all day and not see a train on the spur line.
Super awesome video! All the elements here, intermodals, tank train, coal, the mascots and traditional great commentary. Thank you. 🚂👍😎
Great video! Have a nice day! Greetings from Brasil 🇧🇷
Great place jaw well done again hot spot 👍🏻😎Robin out . Be safe.

Good afternoon Brian, it's a pleasure to hear these special wheel music of a coaltrain. Greatings from Germany 👍
Great action at another cool location. Stack trains are the most un-aerodynamic of all. One article in Trains Magazine said one third of the power on a stack train goes to fighting wind resistance. Enjoyed it much, thanks JT!

That was a really cool long train going around the curves. Great shot JT! 😊😊
Fast and furious that first train. Thanks again for the upload, Jaw Tooth. I enjoyed it.
It's incredible the number of containers that are shipped by rail. That takes a whole lot of trucks off the road. And I never get tired of seeing the mountains of Pennsylvania. Such beautiful scenery. Great video today JT. Keep up the great work. 😊😊😊

UR a ways away from home. Thanks for keeping things fresh and new.
Love seeing the pups at play! Thank you!
Good morning . The double stacks was a surprise coming around the bend.😊
The Pennsylvania spots have been really neat! A lot of beautiful countryside.
Wow, a lot of history on The Lewisburg and Tyrone Railroad, online! Interesting town.
Now that was a booking train video! Don't get to see too many tanker trains. That was a nice surprise. That was a nice vantage point on the that station. This video will go into my train list. Thank you for the video.

Great interesting location great train action great video thanks Jaw tooth
Very cool location! Love curve shots and how trains round the curve! Nice video JT!
Interchange appears to be with the Nitany & Bald Eagle RR, tracks run down the street through Tyrone.

What an awesome coal train! 200 cars with 2 DPUs. Coal trains remind me of the heavy industry that made our country an industrial powerhouse. 😊😊😊

I think its time for a flange greaser 😂 great place to visit, Tyrone ❤😊
