How do you mean? In the PAW for proc avionics there should be a slider to change the tonnage the avionics are able to handle. There should also be an option to switch between science core, near earth, and deep space, and that’s pretty much all you need to know!
maybe choose a really different launch site for your new series, maybe one that is far off the equator as abit of a complication. the name for your series might follow after that choice anyway

quick question, downloaded RSS for KSP earlier, played for a little bit and couldn't even get off the earth pretty much. I was under the impression RSS just adds our real solar system, but it seemed to have changed the whole game and many mechanics. Is there a way to just be able to play regular ole KSP but have our real solar system instead of the Kerbol System? Just want to play with the real planets. Duna is SO ugly, lol... Mars is much prettier
So you’ve got two options, depending on what you want, You could get KSRSS which retextures the stock planets to our solar system, and keeps the stock scale, Or you could get regular RSS with SMURFF, SMURFF is a mod that changes the stock parts to be useable at the RSS scale (it’s 10x bigger than stock) it keeps all the game mechanics the same, unlike RO (which is what it sounds like you have) So yeah, either get KSRSS or SMURFF :) (hope this helps!)
It’s definitely harder than stock, but after playing it for a while everything does kind of start to make a lot more sense, there’s a lot more planning involved and a lot more to remember, but it is so incredibly satisfying. First orbit in RO felt way better than doing crazy things in stock :p Would definitely recommend giving it a try!
RP-1/RSS/RO is fun, but a lot of the fun comes in the planning. The best simple test is, have you gone interplanetary in stock KSP? Maybe even completed a Jool 5 mission? If so, then you have the planning chops and tolerance for the great (but delayed) gratification that awaits you in RP-1/RSS/RO.

@@Katniss218 I did not know that and wow. I’ve just been comparing the size in the VAB and you can fit like an entire mercury capsule inside the bell of the ROEngines M1, that thing must be extraordinarily big 😅

What mod makes sub assemblies easier to place (you mention you dont have it at around 5 minutes)
Editor extensions redux, allows you to change angle snap to 90 degrees makes it a lot easier to place things on decouplers that way!

i've been tempted to install it and every KSP streamer on twitch telling me not to cause its very hard.

Your M-1s are too small. You can't fit 3 in a row on a 15m stage, the real M-1s were 5.28m in diameter
I didn’t use M1’s in this video :p I used Cobra H’s from CH-4 for the second stage, which are considerably smaller than the m1’s (like half the size)
