Day 31 - Buffalo Gals - Patti Kusturok's 365 Days of Fiddle Tunes

Here's an old traditional tune that is played a lot here in Manitoba, especially for square dancing. I first heard this version played by the late Clifford Maytwayashing. He had such a great feel in his playing and the saying was "if you can't dance to Cliff, you'd better check your pulse."

I saw this when I was in 6th grade and thought to myself, "that looks really difficult but she's so casual about it after she's done playing that it must be easier than I think! I bet when I get older, it'll look easier!" Yeah, well, I'm about to enter college as a violinist and I can say that it looks even more difficult with experience. That is some wild fiddlin', dear god.
