@@Bravo5SoldierLT that she does:) she was this way (strict, fierce, strong) from the very first moment she appeared in the show, that is why I love the character. Many hate her, and I think if she were a man, everybody would love her, people just don't see those characteristics appealing in a woman, and that's really sad, I mean, she is a detective, a cop. She must be mentally and physically strong, and strict and yes, "bitchy".
The character has so many layers and she really is the best in PD IMO, the development, all the ups and downs, made her the kind of cop she is today: fierce, intelligent, strong.
“so since i’m very obviously not under arrest i’m going back to work now.i’m a great cop, i’m in the middle of working a murder and your wasting my god damn time!” ❤️🔥 my fav human ever
This entire scene was perfectly written and even more perfectly executed. The FBI agent sounded realistic and besides Upton not having her Union Lawyer or a private CDA(Civilian Defense Attorney, different from a Police Union Lawyer) there with her or her ripping into him using more vulgar language(They couldn't go too hard in the paint there or they'd have a ratings issue) this was the most realistic interview in the whole series.
This entire story-line was one of my favorites , more likely my # 1 favorite . the story-line was great, but the acting of all cast members involved was superb!..I was so captivated by all of them, even brought tears to my eyes ..Yes a true fan I really am
Even after this, North still wouldn’t stop. He wanted a career boost so badly that he wanted to make Roy Walton out as an innocent victim & take down Voight in the process. Seems like every couple of seasons, there’s always someone with a high rank who wants to bring down Voight. Gradishar. Stillwell. Woods. Kealton. North. Who’s next?
@Hallie Lovvorn I think Hailey would keep using Upton at work as it'll be confusing to have two Halsteads during calls, esp in a situation where they need to radio check and they don't know which Halstead they're referring to. It's the reason why as well when Gabby and Matt married, Gabby didn't change her name to Casey even if she had thought about it. It's also going to be the same thing once Kelly and Stella marry. Stella will keep using Kidd while at work so as not to make things confusing during calls esp as she and Kelly are both lieutenants.
@@johnty7951- you make a lot of good points, but I can see her taking the Halstead name. Her childhood was horrific and getting rid of her father's surname is another way she can put her past behind her.
Voight does what’s necessary. He does questionable things, but at the end of the day, he’s a good guy & good police who’s priority is to the city of Chicago
@@joewhitehead3 He tried to have Casey, from Chicago Fire, killed for writing a report on his son’s DUI, he murdered and buried the man who killed his son, he let Alvin take the blame for it and get killed in jail and he let Roy out of his handcuffs so Hailey would have to kill him and cover up his crime. How was any of that good for the city? Charging gangbangers “taxes” to sell on his streets, torturing suspects and murdering people is not questionable, it is evil and it makes him a tax-payed gangster.
@@eddycharles4274 He didn’t try to kill Casey, he just wanted him to retract his statement in order to protect his son. & he’s not proud of that. He kept trying to tell Al not to go through with it, but Al made his own decisions. Hank was doing everything he can to help him. He was even ready & willing to turn himself in. & he never meant for Hailey to get involved with any of that. He even told her that if she wanted out, that she could turn him in at any time. Those gangbangers have helped him to find the real bad guys. & none of those people he tortured & killed were at all innocent. He tries to make sure the city is safe from low-life scum like them
how was Hailey breaking down for killing Roy but didn't blink when she got the black guy that was a drug deal who helped the community. does not make since she cries over killing a child trafficker.
This whole Roy storyline was trash. Hailey’s nervous breakdown was weird. She has no problem shooting bad guys, ask Darius Walker… oh, wait… he’s dead. What happened to the woman deputy whose son was killed? Is she still off hunting ghosts or is it just another storyline pothole that’s par fir the course on CPD and their stellar cast of 5 people? As long as they work with Hank, this is what their lives will be like, and they know it. So glad Upstead is married so we can move the hell on. Geez.
That was SAVAGE, she kept her cool and just rendered him speechless. Loved this scene, one of my very favorites of 9th season.
You know for a woman Hailey has some serious male balls to talk to Agent North like that

This is why I love her, she didn't even flinch, stutter or even looked nervous, she was so savage, so to the point on not getting intimidated.

TRACEL SHOWS ALL OF HER EMOTIONS THROUGH HER EYES I LOVE THAT!!
Tracy killed it and knocked that role down. She was stupendous
“your waiting my god damn time” is my favorite!!
Love this scene. Tracy killed it
Yes
What I like most about this answer hailey gave is that she did not lie technically. She deflected to logic.
It was a really smart answer.
True. It was that much better because he pissed her off looking into her past and bringing up her father’s abuse. That was pretty low..
Pretty sure he have done the same thing Upton did regarding her promise to the suspect.

All this agent wanted to do was take down Voight to boost his own career
She has become my favorite female cop from a tv show, since she arrived to Chicago PD she hasn't done anything but to amazed me
This is the smart tough Upton we fell in love with 🔥🔥
Haley Didn't Flinch. That's A Real Police/ Detective!!!!
Oh yeah
Upton learned so much from Voight, you can really tell here that don't you dare mess with her.
Interrogating a cop from Voights unit you have bring a lot more then just logic
Tracy spidirakos she is best actress
Hailey Upton, that’s my ninja right there. Tell it like it is my sister

Telling a volatile suspech whatever he wants to hears is the definition of police works, do your homework pal.
Hell yeah!! That was awesome!! Voight woulda been proud!
i love this woman💕
Hailey Upton is carrying this show. She's AMAZING.
uh no Voight makes this show..Upton could go tomorrow ill still watch it
Did I ask?? Voight could die tomorrow and I'd throw a party.
@@pmia23 same. I can't watch because of Voight.

When Hayley and voight was in the elevator their so tiny compared to the other FBI agents
Agent Walker North is boxing Hailey into a corner
Damn you Agent North
Damn, he got schooled.....

Ok Call me slow, what season & episode,+ I think Upton is the brains of intelligence while the rest of the unit has the brawn.totaly love Chicago pd.
Nice clip! I can see Erin giving him the same kind of answers to!
Badass Hailey! 😍
Good for Hailey
I honestly would pursue the case to the worst of my abilities for this scenario.
the best thing they did is bring in Hailey as a detective that boosted her confidence a lot and made the audience love her
NO WAY MAN
POST THE UPSTEAD WEDDING PLEASE!!!
First! Also, loved this scene! Can't wait to see tomorrow's episode!!!
hailey my princess 💖👸
Which episode is this scene from?
Why question?

Who cares about Roy
North only cared about making sure Voight went down for Roy’s murder
