Queen never lip-synced in their lives. Queen can steal a full stadium (i.e Live Aid) and STILL have the audinece sing with them. MJ is a great solo act, but Freddie's energy & charisma combined w/ the voices and talent and skills of May, Taylor and Deacon are a force to be reckoned with on-stage.

Sure pop music wasn't great before them, but I hardly think that discounts The Beatles immense popularity. Elvis came before The Beatles and even he didn't create as much as frenzy as The Beatles did.
"Put The Beatles in the 80's there nothing." That's a bullshit point, for one if The Beatles were around in the 80's, their music would have been completely different. Likewise if Michael Jackson was in his prime in the 60's, his music would have been completely different. Without the technology and production, songs like Billy Jean would have sounded completely different, that is if they even would have existed. You take lots of artists out of their respective time periods and it would be unlikely that they would be as popular. You think Mozart of Bach would have been as famous if they were around during the 80's, or even Elvis or Frank Sinatra? If you take Michael Jackson's 80's music and put it in the 40's or 50's, it probably would be dismissed as Avant-Garde and remained largely unknown. Moreover, the music of the 80's would have been completely different had The Beatles not been around prior.

But I am a moonwalker and I don't have to be alive at that time to know that it didn't matter what tour it was or what performance or song it was, all of Michael's tours and performances were equally as legendary and unfathomable as ever, NONE of them were trash!! Me too. The 360 stage is so awesome and the band was always great. The 360 tour is the highest grossing of all time. But Zoo TV reinvented the band and concert tours. It was ahead of it's time.

I was so lucky! I went to Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour 1990 when I was a Teenager! I went to her other tours many times, but it’s my favourite! There are no words to describe it! Perfection! Pure fun and non stop hits and amazing dancing! ❤️

I dont understand why people say Bad is better than Zoo Tv. Sure bad is great but nothing extraodinary. Its MJ singing and doing incredible dancing. Zoo TV tour did something which was absolutely new. Bono dressed up as alter egos of himself and the whole think was amazing. Critics called it the Sgt Peppers of concert tours .

Nah Michael was revolutionary at his time during the bad tour he was the best dancer on the planet so seeing him dance at that time was godly and even to this day still extraordinary. He was changing the art of dance and he evoked a whole other emotion out of people he had thousands of people passing out and a couple of people dying, crying it’s madness what the crowds looked like just listen to him sing “man in the mirror”. During that tour he slides, glides, robot dances, pop and locks, moonwalks, tap dances etc... while being able to sing good as hell... all that while having a a cool, unique and very iconic style. He sung masterpieces Fully live while having a different set of unique dances for every song. The majority of people consider him to be the greatest entertainer ever and it’s because he set the bar for entertainment and set the standards he was very innovative and game chaining.
So to sum it up- Bad was iconic and revolutionary

I’m Irish and saw both the ‘Bad’ tour in 1988 in Cork and ‘Zoo TV’ tour in Dublin in 1993 and MJ had by far the most impact on the crowd, he was just incredible beyond words

I saw the Zoo TV tour back in 91 and 92 a couple of times. Those shows just blew my mind. They were so ahead of its time and the imagery and music was something to behold. Very deserving of the #1 position on this list.

Roger Water's The Wall tour garnered $450 million and holds the record for being the highest-grossing tour for a solo musician, beating MJ's female equivalent Maddona. His recent Us+Them tour earned $169 million. This is very impressive coming from a man who is considered by most as the most egotistical, contreversial, and least technically skilled member of Pink Floyd (not a knock on him, he's a capable bassist and decent singer) compared to Gilmour their main vocalist, guitat player and possibly the more well known member. He does make up for that by being the architect of the post Syd and pre Gilmour era Pink Floyd making him possibly the most important member of the the group. The success of his tour really shows how iconic, influential and well known PF's music was to millions of people.

Even though they lost it eventually, ZooTV was not only amazing but also mesmerizingly magic.

I went to the Zoo Tv Tour on April 23rd 1992 in Vancouver. It was the one of the most incredible concert experiences I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Videos do not do justice to capture the epicness of it. Then 6 years later I went to the Pop Mart Tour which was also incredibly magical.

Madonna's Blond Ambition tour changed the game. Every artist since has been inspired by it. It's the definition of iconic. I would say Michael Jackson is the better natural talent and nobody can touch him on stage, but Blond Ambition changed the game. It should have definitely been #1.
