@@dorivu his motive is that there were countless children (aka the children of the church) being held hostage, and monokuma threatened to kill them all if Kinji didn't commit a murder. Originally Kinji was only going to kill Kanata Inori, but Kakeru intervened and Kinji had to kill him first, then he killed Kanata, presumably to cover up for his murder of Kakeru. Later Monokums revealed that the children were actually all dead from the start and Kinji's murders were in vain.

@@dorivu Um ok so Kinji’s motive to kill them is to save the 100 cathedral children held hostage by Monokuma. However, he initially only planned to kill Kanata, but Kakeru walked in on him. Kakeru wanted to save Kanata but failed and was killed by Kinji. Kinji then proceeded to kill Kanata next morning(to tie up loose ends I think) But in the end all these are for nothing as those cathedral children were already dead(Monokuma tricked him), sending Kinji to despair

@@dorivu Kinji never wanted to kill 2 people, his main target was Kanata since she was an easy target because she's always in the infirmary, Kinji kidnapped her and brought her to the art room to cut her into pieces with the plaster weapon, unfortunately Kageru stumbled into the art room, he tried to rescue Kanata since Kageru witnessed it Kinji had no choice but to kill Kageru, i myself dont know why Kanata was also killed since he could've left Kanata alone and put her back in the infirmary since she didn't saw who kidnapped her, so basically that's why Kinji killed both For the 2nd question, Kinji's motive... there was cathedral children that Kinji takes care of, how many? It's 100 cathedral children, the children was held hostage by Monokuma and he had to kill to save them... unfortunately Monokuma said to free them, but not let them be so Monokuma killed them all, rip Kinji's mental health Sorry if this was too long to read, or if it's hard to understand, idk how to explain this in a short version

20:12 I normally hate the "you and I are the same" trope being played out here, but...Kinjo isn't the protagonist and he isn't the hero. His logic is clearly flawed as pointed out in each trial. So it works here and I love it!!! IDK about anyone else, but I kinda discard what Tsurugi says since chapter 2... Especially with Akane who was doing her actions in self defense. This chapter didn't really help me like him anymore. He's interesting though. It's nice to have a despicable, interesting character.
I was actually doing an analysis on this scene and thought about it and technically with Kinji and Tsurugi they do actually have the same idea of sacrificing the minority for the majority so what Kinji said there is totally justifiable. But one thought of it in a trolley problem type way and the other thought of it in a… implied racist way. (Minor early chapter 4 spoilers) - - - - And after the trial later on Tsurugi started to question his mindset about the whole thing, thinking that what he was going at was potentially wrong and how he fought with someone with the same view point but took it in a different direction. And he was questioning if the whole “I need to do bad things to get better” was really the truth. Buuuut he kept going back and forth between slipping back into his own mindset and actually reconsidering stuff which is realistic for a redemption arc.
Slight spoiler warning? I'd never spoil later chapters so it's just till the end of this chapter/video. I'm surprised the priest and exorcist don't really interact with each other as much as I thought they would. From their talents alone I assumed they'd have some sort of connection with each other, and they both wear a cross. But it looks like the latter might have more of a connection with whoever's behind this. I was debating for weeks on making this a comment. I think I sort of understand now but it's still confused me a bit, so I'll just add it here: It once puzzled me how everyone was quick to jump to Maeda's side when he concluded that only Kinji would've been the killer because someone with such an elaborate plan couldn't have made such a reckless choice. And I don't really get his reasoning bc I don't see it out of possibility someone could decide to act recklessly in an elaborate plan since even people who plan ahead makes mistakes. But I guess the others went with the weak reasoning cause they didn't consider that possibility. If there's any point I'm missing then you can let me know.
