The Portuguese people know from years of experience its a must to respect the seas - oceans , for thousands of years the seas - oceans have been like one of the family, it makes us cry and it gives us so much joy. I was born on an island in the Atlantic but for many years now I've been living inland in North America but I can honestly say that I still can hear those soothing sounds of the ocean waves and the smells of salt in the air every single day still today even though I am no longer by my beautiful family member the Atlantic ocean , not to mention the sun rises from the ocean to the sun sets into the ocean , just magical ... yes I miss it so. :)
Incredible shots and wonderful sound design. I was so immersed the whole way through. It felt like that water planet scene in Interstellar in real life.
Millers Planet - where a single hour equates to seven years back on earth. Some who have surfed these monstrous waves say the time dilation effect is very similar.
@@simonc61 I'm going to take the real surfers word on that feeling of similarity as compared to the movie because you wont find me riding those sea mountains eheheh.. great place Nazare and its people and a great movie also :)

Really impressed by the skill of the shots overall, but also the patience and persistence you must have exercised to get that kind of clarity on the tele perspective in particular. I don't think I've ever seen a telephoto shot from Nazare that clean/non-hazy. Epic work all around, and it really holds together as a cohesive bit of video, story, and sound design so well.
