    ✅ About jlwii2000:
When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

Being an SP fan from the 1970's, these were a no brainer. So far I have added 8 of these from a mix of SP and SSW with the two different doors. I remember them mixed in with the FMC double door boxcars.

Very handsome boxcars and very detailed. I'm not a Rapido guy, but I like some of their rolling stock. I should seriously consider buying a couple. 🤔

Nice box cars, James. Rapido knocked it out of the park, as usual. Thanks for sharing!

The prototypes were apparently built in 1973 and 1974. They have hit their 50th birthday, so they are no longer rolling on any mainline.

    Hey James,
What manufacturer would you recommend for American steam engines? DCC with sound.
I’m from Germany and can’t just order American models easily, so it’s better to directly order the „correct“ model.
The German Producer Märklin/Trix just produce BigBoys, Challengers and the #844, so I have these already.
    Greetings from Germany

Giving away my age but I'm assuming the doors don't open on these boxcars like my Athearns from the 1960s...any reason?
