It’s so refreshing to hear you talk about this truck and the options it came with. People just don’t appreciate all the creature comforts that trucks come with these days, which is why trucks/SUV prices keep soaring. The demand for more and more tech in these vehicles is insane! My point is that, you appreciate all the nice options that most take for granted. So many people think they need an $80-$100k truck but you don’t have to spend that kind of money on a nice truck. I drive a 2011 Sierra All Terrain with just over 200k miles and I love it. Enjoy the Raptor man! I’ve always thought the second gen looked the best as well. Definitely want to see more content on this….and more EVO!
Also, I use my moon roof. I keep it lubed up. You need to lube the rubber all the way around the glass on it or it will stick then break. Every 90 days or so I do maintenance on it. Takes 5 minutes. Worth it to me.
Congrats on the new trucks! I too just got a similar truck. UA-cam fed this video to my feed and I’m glad it did! I will be following the journey with this truck
Also I agree. The second gen is the meanest looking one. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they only come with the Ecoboost. No V8 until the third gen. First gen had a V8 as well.
I have an Avalanche Grey ‘17 loaded, graphics delete, with tailgate appliqué. Had it for a year and absolutely love it. You made a great choice. I went COBB for my tune and TCM, it is perfect. Goosetuned is super well known with fantastic rep though. Small thing, but get rid of the auto start/stop. CJ Pony has an eliminator or you can do it in FORScan. I love the wheels you have on it. Can’t wait for content on this thing!! Congrats! You got a killer price too.
Congrats! And Welcome to the Ford Family! I have owned Fords all my life with exception to two vehicles and have loved all my Fords, they are reliable and comfy to drive, i always know the repairs(if any) are pretty straight forward. I think you will enjoy and love your new Ford!
I have a 2020 in rapid red fully loaded. I bought it in 2022 with 53K miles for $60k. I have 114K miles on it now I cant stop driving it. It tows my boat all around new England, drives in the snow, daily drives, road trips, little bit of off road on trails and the beach. Only major problems I've had is the rear door latches needed to be replaced, a coil spring snapped (sitting in the driveway, I never jumped it), and the damn sunroof leaking. Otherwise just tons of maintenance early oil changes and every preventative maintenance thing you can do has been done at the appropriate mileage. Watch the cam phasers that could cost you a few grand to fix if your truck has a build date before October 2019.
Congrats! You’ll love it. Saw your post on Raptor FB page. Have had my 17’ for 4-years. Sunroof is broken but other than that it has been a champ. Got the shocks rebuilt and do routine maintenance.
Congrats man! I’m currently in the market for a truck and I completely understand where you’re coming from🥲 glad to hear you get excited about your purchase man that’s always the best!
I’m a Ford truck and Honda guy so I’m sooooo glad you picked this up! You’ll love it. I have a 17’ f150 and looking to also get a 1st gen Raptor to go along with it and my 2 civics. Congrats brotha can’t wait for the content
Dude this is awesome. Huge congrats on getting this. Please show the upgrades you do. I'd love to learn more about trucks. One day I'll be able to afford another truck and would love to learn more. Keep up the great work.
Congrats man. I purchased a 2018 a year and a half ago. 123k miles. Phasers went out at 126k but extended warranty covered it along with full timing job new valve covers and a new oil pan. About 5k worth of work. I’m at 145k now and no issues truck drives great. Just added the 14.4 Tesla style screen and it just makes the truck look so much newer. I added Method wheels and fog lights and now I’m trying to hold back a bit lol also been more of a jdm guy most of my life Honda Preludes Infinitis Eclipses but I’m loving this twin turbo beast 🙌🏽
Glad to see more raptor content! I just picked up an 18 with 74k miles for $42k. I think I watched every old UA-cam video out there on the 2nd gen. Would like to see more current videos!
Congrats Anthony !!! What a truck my friend. It is in incredible shape and it fits you perfectly. All the best with the truck and YOU deserve it ! This is a great way to start the New Year and all the best to you in 2025.
Congrats on the new truck Anthony! I am actually more of a classic car guy, but started following bc you have built the cleanest hondas I've ever seen and i really want to build a clean EM1, so with that being said in stoked on this raptor build! I like 1st gens bc of the 6.2, but i can't deny the aggressive look of the 2nd gen, so I'm excited to see what you do! Keep up the great work man!
I came for the RSX content, but I've always dreamed of having a Raptor. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with a truck that is already so nice from the factory. The Raptor is already "OEM+" for the F-150, so whatever you do will make it "Extra OEM+".
Insane deal on the Raptor! If you ever want to go on some trails, kuna butte is a nice place to have some fun without worrying about breaking something or getting stuck in the middle of nowhere
Very cool! Congrats on the truck! Very clean. 🔥🔥 Winfield is the man to tune these trucks! He's the owner and tuner of GooseTuned. Thousands of happy customers!
I just bought a 2019 raptor last month. I had the same thoughts about buying a Tacoma but realized it wasn’t much cheaper than a Gen 2 raptor. I’m really happy with my decision. This truck just feels special and fun to drive.
@ that’s wild haha my wife has a 23 trd off-road. Love our 4runner for its simplicity and reliability but it leaves a bit to be desired for driving pleasure
I just have ‘17 XLT Sport 5.0 and also 6th gen Civic, so I definitely don’t mind seeing more of the Raptor. Moonroof, if you vent first before slide to open, it should be better on those arms. I think the seals stick to the frame from what I heard. So a bit of silicone on the seals should help. Additionally, not sure if you have a subwoofer or not behind the back seat, there is an aftermarket latch you can install on the back side of the rear seat for more storage space. Currently on the right side it has a strap to fold down, where the jack is placed, but not the left. Dent on tailgate is probably fine with PDR. Got a similar one fixed.
Yes bro get a warranty. I bought my 2019 last march at 50k miles from ford. Bought a warranty until 150k and since then, I had the torque converter replaced, rain sensing wipers module replaced, and just recently the cam phasers replaced all at no cost to me. It’s been a huge wallet saver. Had an exhaust leak too that I paid out of pocket to replace (went with magnaflow) Also replaced the IWE module (a few bucks at Amazon) low speed grinding noise- very common in these trucks.
Great looking truck you got there, well thought out too, did your research! Looks great- when you get done cleaning, polishing...it'll look awesome! Let us know
Congrats on the Raptor! I purchased literally the same truck back in March! If you do go for the warranty, I would recommend Lombard ford or Ziegler ford. Both can be purchased online. All your truck needs a used vehicle inspection and you’ll be good to go. When I purchased mine, I did 4 years 48,000 miles and it was approximately $2k from Lombard. Hope this helps! Congrats on the truck! 🙂
Congrats on this new truck!! Love your videos, haven’t watched all of this one yet but I’m hoping you’ve shared the secret on how to make the air Spencer last longer lol
As a fellow Raptor owner welcome. Also, if you’re looking to find phaser noise give her a cold start on a cold morning. My brother also owns a 2017 and he’s had phasers multiple times so don’t be discouraged it part of owning a Raptor.
Cold start is still quiet! “Knocks on wood.” Trust me, that was the first thing I made sure to check. It’ll happen eventually, but I’m not trying to stress over a sound in the meantime
@ See you’re a car guy you get it. Once you have the warranty it won’t even bother you. And when it come to the tune, just get it, if you think it has power now you’re in for a real sweet surprise with a tune.
You scored. I bought a 802a 2017 with 125k miles on it for 35k back in may, in Texas. Had to replace some parts already and 20K miles but I cant say its brought me anything but smiles.
@ If I might make a suggestion, look into leaf springs when you can. The stock ones are a weak point in gen 1s and gen 2s. I put a set of standard height icons on my truck (which is my everything truck) and the change in handling, damping and acceleration behavior was like taking it back to a brand new truck.
Looks awesome, Anthony! I'm an off-road/truck enthusiast recently turned Honda fan which is how I discovered your channel. I've owned 4 lifted Chevy's, an overland built 4Runner, and currently own a Wrangler and F150. As far as tires, I would NEVER recommend any Nitto all terrain tires. I've had some and hated them. They're awful in the rain and snow. I put BFG's on my Jeep and they are hands down the best tire I've ever had. They're worth every penny of the hefty price. KMC and Raceline make great looking wheels. As far as lifts, I'm not too familiar with the Raptor setup, but I think they have great suspension as is, so don't cheap out on suspension "upgrades" otherwise it'll end up being a downgrade (ex. no Rough Country junk). If you purchase a warranty, I think you'll void it by modifying the exhaust or air intake, but I might be wrong.
Anthony Congrats! You will enjoy it a lot. Those are really the easiest truck to work on. Ford really engineered those generation of f150 to be easily repaired. So most mods can be done yourself with few tools.
Nice. That's a rare color. I bought a 2013 in tan, which is a rare color also. One thing I didn't know about raptors is that you can't just go buy shocks from the store like a typical vehicle. You have to buy rebuilt shocks or pay to have them rebuilt at the Ford dealer . Or your other option is to buy a complete suspension upgrade that cost several thousand.
Also, I can guarantee if that truck has not had the camp phasers replaced yet then it will need the camp phase replaced eventually so get that warranty pretty hastily
@ I actually never heard a srp pipe but heard plenty of straight tubes. The drone will be there but you can always cancel it with music lol. I’ve done it and personally would never do it again since at times I like to cruise windows down no music and the drone drives me insane.
I definitely recommend getting a warranty on the truck because the gen 2 definitely can eat into your pockets. Definitely do not open the moon roof. And I would put the rear ford cover back on the tailgate. And take care of all of the maintenance like the fluids and stuff if they haven’t been done.
I totally agree about the moonroof. I wish they weren't always stock on vehicles. I actually contemplated purchasing the Canadian model replacement roof of the RSX because it doesn't have a sunroof, but that would be a pretty extreme and costly sunroof delete so I just kept my Type-S as is but never use the sunroof.
Congrats brotha! You know I'm a Honda guy but I've recently gotten into Overland builds (hint for what's to come to my channel as well haha). Would love to see some light mods done to the truck and some off roading!
Ever thought about turning off the adaptive transmission feature all together? There's an option to turn it off on forscan instead of just resetting it
Fantastic truck Anthony! The Ford extended Warranty is insanely worth it. The EcoBoost is a beast but those phasers will run a pretty penny when they go out. Sunroof will also take a dump as well. IMO getting a warranty is the only way to own one of these. Excited for the content man!!! God Bless!
set of method bead grips, nitto ridge grapplers had em and they sucked in any moister related conditions. Mickey Thompson baja boss A/T is what im currently running and there heavy but pretty good. Falkens are another good, rotational mass can definitely get out of hand.
Get some eibach pro springs. I literally just bought some for my 2019 raptor for $400 and it raised it about 1.7 inches. Definitely will make it ride stiffer in the front but is better overall compared to the collar perches. Plus you can run it harder in trails.
@ALLDAYANTHONY I'm in the process of making my 11th gen f150 as clean as possible, I've got a couple minor mechanical things to take care of first. Small vacuum leak. But I am looking into getting it detailed. Is it worth it to do it myself?
You were blessed to find that doll baby at that price. Welcome to the darkside. You will never want a different type truck. I have owned all 3 gens. Gen 2 was my favorite. If you ever get rid of your Raptor for a different brand you will not be satisfied as I learned this lesson and went straight back to a Raptor after purchasing a Chevrolet truck in between my Raptor purchases. Nothing holds a light to these things. Winfield Raglin III with Goose tuned is Phenomenal and you won't regret it. Congrats on your purchase and remember to always run premium fuel brother 👊
$39,000 SMOKIN DEAL
That’s what I’m sayin!
Lol that's not a smoking deal, that's about market price used
You deserve this, man! Can't wait to see the ALLDAY transformation process.
Thanks man!
I think some Raptor content would be a good switch up from time to time just love to watch because your video quality is A1
Thanks man!

100%! These are more features than I have ever had, nor would I ever need more. I have a backup camera, and that is wild to me lol
this is the most brainwashed take i have ever read
Also, I use my moon roof. I keep it lubed up. You need to lube the rubber all the way around the glass on it or it will stick then break. Every 90 days or so I do maintenance on it. Takes 5 minutes. Worth it to me.

Thanks dude! Felt like a killer deal for this much truck. Hoping it isn’t too much of a headache lol
@ If I might make a suggestion, look into leaf springs when you can. The stock ones are a weak point in gen 1s and gen 2s. Congratulations! Love the color 🥰 We just bought a tremor in Avalanche.

Hype to see the raptor get that quality ADA treatment!!
Super envious, really hope it goes well for you, I know 2017-2018 were the “rough years” because they fixed the cam phasers for 2019-2020.
*knocks on wood* all is well so far. But when they do go I’ll have them put the updated versions in
HAPPY NEW YEAR Ant, hauler for them Racing Cars 😎
To level it you just need to adjust the front struts to mid perch and get an alignment. Easy money.

For the exhaust go with the full corsa cat back, no drone and its loud. Deleting the resonator will make it raspy and you will drone
Even with the SRP pipe? Doesn’t sound raspy to me

Yep! That’s the first thing I’m doing! Some of those repair costs are pretty wild

I got a 17 tundra the raptor is such a sick truck I never even considered it because you would think they would be worth more.
That’s what I’m saying lol
If you did go to an intake I would do a closed box seeing as your concern with sound further more it’s still a truck and will get dirty
Can you do a video on all the generations and the pros and cons of
For the level either go with a top hat or change out the spring eibach Or geiser
In terms of the moon roof you can just open the shade to let in more light that part is bulletproof
Nice score!
Thanks Mike!
Nice find. Hopefully this happens to me one day lol. Ill just drive my 30k Maverick for now 😅
Goosetune and an intercooler will totally change this thing for the better
I hope so!
My dream truck too
Thing is sick!
Honda content above all but won’t mind seeing raptor videos either. What will be the fate of the Rsx now that you have this?
RSX isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!
Definitely more raptor content
You got it
lets see the new updates!
Congrats on the purchase! Avalanche grey is a top color on these in my opinion. Does this fit in the garage?
It fits with inches to spare. Not ideal lol
Yes, raptor content is a good idea
I think I can make this thing even cleaner
@ALLDAYANTHONY I'm in the process of making my 11th gen f150 as clean as possible, I've got a couple minor mechanical things to take care of first. Small vacuum leak. But I am looking into getting it detailed. Is it worth it to do it myself?
Congrats on the new truck. I will send you an email regarding the tonneau cover 🤙
Thanks! Shoot me an email!
@ALLDAYANTHONY sent it this am. Hope it helps.
Im curious did you get rid of any of your vehicles? I believe you had 5 right? Dodge truck, 4runner, red civic, evo, and rsx?
Yep! I sold my beloved dodge ram. It went to a good home!
@ with you having 5 cars which do you choose to always have garaged? Im assuming the evo for sure
did you sell the Ram?
I did!
Hey I'm 1A also. Been looking for them wheels let me know when you get the new ones. I'll offset the price a lil for ya.
Beautiful truck! I’m looking to purchase a raptor myself. Can you let me know what questions to ask regarding Ford raptor. Thank you
You cant switch the wheels for some non bead lock cheap wheels though! Lol
For tires stick with ko3s or nittos
You were blessed to find that doll baby at that price. Welcome to the darkside. You will never want a different type truck. I have owned all 3 gens. Gen 2 was my favorite. If you ever get rid of your Raptor for a different brand you will not be satisfied as I learned this lesson and went straight back to a Raptor after purchasing a Chevrolet truck in between my Raptor purchases. Nothing holds a light to these things. Winfield Raglin III with Goose tuned is Phenomenal and you won't regret it. Congrats on your purchase and remember to always run premium fuel brother 👊
Roush intake on mine gen 2 👌
