from a jazz record, to a hip hop record, to an orchestra, timeless!
To tears and goose bumps everytime I revisit
indeed
Big facts!!
Well said my man.
Watching Ma Dukes as she bobs her head to her son's beats makes me teary eyed ... Dilla made his momma proud. RIP to the best producer ever.
Illa J wit da "one two"
Word up to dude on them kicks and snares. Did this justice beyond words. Come back to this whenever I need a boost. RIP Dilla.
i think that's Karriem Riggins
Absolutely Kareem.
I’m crying right now I miss dilla soo much
RIP happy dilla month
Back when I still had facebook, all I used it for was to post music videos. I put Slum Village Fall In Love up there one day, and a lot of friends loved it. However my girlfriend at the time didn't like it... We didn't last long. R.I.P Dilla
That snare is perfect - pap!
@4:31 those violins came in strong , utterly amazing
e-boogie that melted my ice. need another drink!

DILLA WOULD'VE BEEN PROUD 2 HEAR HIS ART LIKE THIS! AUH-MAY-ZING!!! B-MORE & WE OUT! ONE-LUV.
My favorite Dilla song. Rest in Peace James Yancey 🙏🏾
Illa J started singin i really thought it was dilla for a second my heart dropped
The truth is tied up in musicians they speak in a language that’s the truth. We can learn a lot from musicians in their unadulterated state. Simply at its purest in how we interact with one another. That’s right unity!
The simple but powerful bass of thundercat from 3:52 belongs to the set of those things that touch the soul and heart.
Alchemist in the cut!
To the person that sent this to me.
Thanks so much sweetheart ❤
Amazing tribute to one of the greatest to ever contribute to this culture.....amazing!
Lol look at his facial expression 4:53. Miguel and the Orchestra did a phenomenal job with this song. Especially in the end with the song "official"
This is killer hook, his look says everything. What track is it?
@@90boiler the video is bookended with “the official” by Jaylib - Dilla and Madlib. The song in the middle is “fall in love” by slum village.
To fall in love
With the things you do
Don't sell yourself
To fall in love
With those things you do
Tears seeing us united paying respect to music. Them is an illusion. Enjoyed it.
This is the perfect marriage of hip hop and symphony,
My mother had Elvis I seen her cry so much to his music.. I had Dilla the one and only!
So melodic. Thankyou to all who were involved in the making of this tribute...Forever remember the greatest to do it.
Still a big listen in 2020!
This put a tear in my eye
My favorite one of them all! Love that beginning too... It's THE OFFICIAL!

If someone knows, thanks in advance 🫶🫶🫶💪💪💪
It's the Jaylib track called "The Official."
I'm not sure if Madlib sampled the horns from a r&b/soul track... anyone know?

Singing kinda' messed up the piece for a little while ('twas a bit discordant)...but it's all good. Piece is still one of my favorite things on UA-cam.
Есть те , кто пришёл после видоса Яна Топлес?))
Какого видео? Интересно посмотреть
Love everything about this.... except the tempo. I got 100 bpm's here... which is interesting because classically trained musicians can interpret harmony, phrasing, tone and texture amazingly well, but overlook something as basic as tempo... And on the flip side, hip hop producers are amazing at almost everything but won't take a year to learn harmony on a chordal instrument... funny what we decide to overlook....
A major part of Jay Dee's genius was his tempo - his off tempo.
Before him, popular music was not accepting of drums and bass which were rushed or delayed.
