Chris Dave killed that shit. Obviously every musician was incredible, but as a drummer I had a hard time figuring out what Chris was doing. Even though his patterns were crazy (syncopation, polyrythms etc..) it still felt so natural.

I remember this feeling. It was the same one as like what was felt in the early eighties when a friend introduced me to the music of Weather Report. This piece as well as many of the pieces of music which feature Flying Lotus are simply a joy to listen to and to be deeply immersed in.

For real they do that first part in I’d say 3 and everyone is so accommodated with playing in that Dilla feel give or take and have played together for years. That’s why all this time signature talk is going on. It’s really just that Dilla feel. Chris Dave is known to take that style of playing to a whole new level.

This composer is amazing! He killed it doing j dilla's music with his mom right there stage left with all of the people he has worked with. And then he comes in and works with flying lotus! I have never seen anything like this. I don't know the composers name but he should be a lot more popular and well know for composing out side the box! This is absolutely amazing. This guy pushes me even further to be a better musician. Just mad respect!
