The reason they put their fingers together at the end of thanks was because it was a sign of their promise towards their fans - carats. Seventeen’s dances may seem easier, but that doesn’t mean they are easy. There are thirteen people who are doing a routine in such synchronicity it looks easy. Many may think if that large group of people can do it, they can too (which you can if you practice hard). There are a lot of small details that complete the choreography. Hoshi/performance unit really know how to utilize the space on the stage, their transitions and formations are creative; there are always windows in tighter formations so that ALL 13 members are visible (unless someone is hiding before they appear for their part). They really know how to isolate levels (don’t even get me started on their floorwork), their range of motions can be really large and then focused on a smaller movement the next second; that’s how they could never miss a beat. There’s also a production value to their choreographies which is often referred to as being like a broadway show. They never disappoint with their choreography
I agree on all parts except the first line. Seventeen's choreography was never in the easy part of Kpop. Seventeen's choreography is easy if you are just watching because SVT did it perfectly and effortlessly. SVT's choreographies are just easy to watch but the hardest one to do and almost impossible to perfect with the same number of members with seventeen.

It has been months but I can only manage to pull off 1/20 of the entire choreo.
I rarely watch reaction channels (too repetitive), but I've heard from my non carat friends asking me if it's just them or the choreo is harder than it looks and I burst out laughing before agreeing with them. I'm a new Carat too! Just joined last month even though I've been following them since February :)
I remember watching Idol Room a few days ago where they were told that Seventeen's choreographies were the most chosen choreographies for auditions, actually Hoshi commented about this. He said that most people believed that their choreographies were easy but they actually aren't, and Seventeen uses a different way for synchronize their choreos, which makes it slightly harder... DWC is my favorite choreo and I love it so much because they use the ground not to be sensuous or to just execute cool moves but they use it to tell a story, a story of a boy who's on his knees in pain then you have the burst of energy when they sang "ulgo shipji ana" as they got up and wipe away the tears.
With every new era, they brought something new to the table and also shows great growth/maturity. Oh My have the same funky vibe as Adore U but the feel is completely different and also feels more mature You could see how much they grew.

Srijana Thakur for me, about seventeen's members, i dont think that is too much. if you are carat then i think you know what i means. even if one of the members is missing, it feels empty. about the line distribution, as the man in the video said, seventeen always let each of the members shine. and of course their main vocalist still get more lines than the others but the line distribution is still pretty fair for each of the members despite having many members. i think it is better than some groups that have less members but cannot give the fair amount of lines for each members tho. for the vocals, as a carat i can say their vocals are pretty good. even their rappers and dancers are very good at singing. in fact they are all trained as a vocalist at first during their trainee days. and i respect if you are against groups with so many members, and yes i know there are lots of other groups that good at their smooth performance. but with many members, have you found one? 😄 ps: i can recommend you some video of the members singing (predebut/after debut) if you want or you also can find it by yourself just search the members name 😄

I just think that Thanks was so graceful and emotional that it hides the fact that it was quite complex. Don't Wanna Cry is probably my favorite choreo but Thanks is next. Both are quite complex and emotional so I guess that's why they are the two best Choreo I've ever seen in my opinion. There is just something so magical with these two dances that I could not explain.

While Thanks has more complex movements and a harder synchronization, because it is a very delicate and graceful choreography people doesn't actually notice it. People thinks that it is harder because it is slower, just as some people think ballet is easier than hip hop because ballet is in a slower pace most of the time...

BTS can really dance, but they can't compete with Seventeen's choreograph. Seventeen is on another level when it comes to dancing, I haven't seen seen any group top them, few come close but non has wow me as much as Seventeen yet.

Well, you all know BTS and SEVENTEEN are really good friends but I would 1000%prefer SEVENTEEN than BTS no offence to people that stan BTS I am just saying what I feel. SEVENTEEN is a 13 member group so their composer, Woozi and their choreographer, Hoshi has way more job to do than BTS. Plus SEVENTEEN composes and choreographs their own MV, songs and dance. Both are talented but ofc Seventeen for the win. There is nothing such as bad dancer in Seventeen. All are amazing and their synchronization is the best in kpop industry according to me. They even make ppl think that their choreographies are easy because of how synchronized they are, therefore ppl tend to underestimate them when they have the most detailed choreographies out there.
Although Seventeen have a lot of members, they really know how to utilize their 13 members so that instead of feeling crowded on stage, they are able to move as a unit and easily transition between members yet at the same time give each member a time to shine. SVT's transition and formation are one of the best I've ever seen despite so many members. After watching their choreo as a whole then focusing on a single member, you began to notice the small and precise details that go into each dance movement then realize how they all then add together to build up as a whole. Don't let the numbers of member turn you away from SVT because their choreo are one of a kind.

BTS and SVT are both really amazing! They both can dance pretty well! But I would choose SVT over BTS for couple of reasons but that doesn't make BTS any less. 1) I just like how synchronized Seventeen are it is so satisfying to watch! 2) they make their own Choreography they are hard worker! 3) So creative! I mean look at the dance moves! I haven't seen these moves in any other song! 4) that amazing part that you have to memorize whenever they release a song just like the clapping part in *clap* or that promise part in *thanks* or that knocking hand move in *oh my!*
For your 3rd point, I think it's because they sometimes made the choreography based on sign language. Like the touching cheek-thing in pretty u, means 'pretty', the linking finger at the end of thanks means 'thanks' and other. They made it more meaningful, not just a 'dance'. Sorry im just emo

i don't know if you know this but seventeen performance team has a song called HIGHLIGHT and originally it's a choreo meant for 4 people but they made it into 13 people and they still slayed the dance

Seventeen proved everyone wrong because everyone was saying "There's too many members", "Their dances look REALLY easy", "There's too much going on". Seventeen actually does a really good job of featuring everyone's individual parts while still dancing as a unit.

It's an interesting concept.. girl's choice vs guy's choice.. but the only problem i have is they misunderstood seventeen on mannnnyyyy different levels.. like their choreos being easy. I don't wanna be rude but I'm going to cause the girl in black is straight up annoying (I'm sorry😂😂)
I felt the same way too. Some people might think that SVT's choreo is "easy" but most of the time, it's just because they were able to execute it flawlessly. Again, it's not that Seventeen cannot do hard hitting move or complex dance moves, they certainly could. lillili yabbay for example is quite complex but they were able to do it because it was only features the members from the performance team. Doing too complex move with so many members could make it hard for viewers to focus, in my opinion. Seventeen's choreo, graceful, simple, and subtle, is something I felt like I don't see a lot of boy groups do, especially for their title tracks. It's not that others are bad but for Seventeen, it's just different.

I understand. Seventeen created a different style for themselves. They created something that whenever you listen to their song, it just feel different. I'm not saying they own any concept but they really made their marks in creating something that fans could say "Seventeen Vibe". In other words, Seventeen Brand Seventeen. Remember on Idol Room, Hoshi said people thought SEVENTEEN choreography is easy but actually it's not. You wouldn't able to do as sync as SEVENTEEN is you're not SEVENTEEN
Before you think Seventeen brings in fans with easy choreo, My dance team and I can learn a BTS dance in 2 days, and a Seventeen one has to be 2 weeks And as dance leader, I always die when I have to learn Seventeen choreos And as a fan of both, it's impossible to compare who is better on stage so shhhhhh

I think Seventeen's choreo have moments where it is "simple/easy" in the sense that it allows fans to dance along, for example the key dance "akkinda" in adore u and "yeuppuda" in pretty u and the "promise" move in thanks during the chorus. These moves also allowed fans to associate each dance to a particular song in a particular era. But from start to finish, all their choreo seems quite difficult because it requires such precise movement and energy on top of subtle movements that is difficult to see unless you watched it a few times. I'm sure there are other choreo from other groups like this also but I think Seventeen is the few where this really shines. I'm so amazed at Seventeen's ability to transition from gentle moves to sharp and powerful move in such a short amount of time. For example in DWC, the first verse started very gentle and then there is a sudden burst of energy when the chorus came. I applaud anyone who tried Seventeen's choreo because, like their music where there are many layers that make up a whole, their choreo have many layers to it as well. Sorry for the long essay. When it comes to Seventeen's choreo, there's just so much great things to see. LoL.

Lol SVT's choreography is NOT EASY to do! Dancing is not just about the level of difficulty of doing a move but it's also about the preciseness and the synchronization. And SVT delievers that with 13 of them!! (Though for real SVT's choreography is so meticulous how dare you say it's easy!)
I think once I heard somewhere (from svt) that their choreography is actually pretty easy (But since there's many members it's difficult to sync together) because it is one of the many reasons many boy groups cover it, but their recent choreos are probably harder as they grow more and more.

Seventeen’s dances may seem easier, but that doesn’t mean they are easy. There are thirteen people who are doing a routine in such synchronicity it looks easy. Many may think if that large group of people can do it, they can too (which you can if you practice hard). There are a lot of small details that complete the choreography. Hoshi/performance unit really know how to utilize the space on the stage, their transitions and formations are creative; there are always windows in tighter formations so that ALL 13 members are visible (unless someone is hiding before they appear for their part). They really know how to isolate levels (don’t even get me started on their floorwork), their range of motions can be really large and then focused on a smaller movement the next second; that’s how they could never miss a beat. There’s also a production value to their choreographies which is often referred to as being like a broadway show. They never disappoint with their choreography

I agree on all parts except the first line. Seventeen's choreography was never in the easy part of Kpop. Seventeen's choreography is easy if you are just watching because SVT did it perfectly and effortlessly. SVT's choreographies are just easy to watch but the hardest one to do and almost impossible to perfect with the same number of members with seventeen.
They are just that great dancers, that's why they make it seem look like an easy one.

And if you think SVT's choreo is easy, think again lol. It's a illusion because they're able to execute it in such a way that it looks easy. Trust me, that's what I thought at the beginning until I tried learning the choreo for Call Call Call (their jpn song. Go listen to it, it's a bop), DMC and Thanks. It has been months but I can only manage to pull off 1/20 of the entire choreo.
I rarely watch reaction channels (too repetitive), but I've heard from my non carat friends asking me if it's just them or the choreo is harder than it looks and I burst out laughing before agreeing with them. I'm a new Carat too! Just joined last month even though I've been following them since February :)
I remember watching Idol Room a few days ago where they were told that Seventeen's choreographies were the most chosen choreographies for auditions, actually Hoshi commented about this. He said that most people believed that their choreographies were easy but they actually aren't, and Seventeen uses a different way for synchronize their choreos, which makes it slightly harder... DWC is my favorite choreo and I love it so much because they use the ground not to be sensuous or to just execute cool moves but they use it to tell a story, a story of a boy who's on his knees in pain then you have the burst of energy when they sang "ulgo shipji ana" as they got up and wipe away the tears.
With every new era, they brought something new to the table and also shows great growth/maturity. Oh My have the same funky vibe as Adore U but the feel is completely different and also feels more mature You could see how much they grew.

Srijana Thakur for me, about seventeen's members, i dont think that is too much. if you are carat then i think you know what i means. even if one of the members is missing, it feels empty. about the line distribution, as the man in the video said, seventeen always let each of the members shine. and of course their main vocalist still get more lines than the others but the line distribution is still pretty fair for each of the members despite having many members. i think it is better than some groups that have less members but cannot give the fair amount of lines for each members tho. for the vocals, as a carat i can say their vocals are pretty good. even their rappers and dancers are very good at singing. in fact they are all trained as a vocalist at first during their trainee days. and i respect if you are against groups with so many members, and yes i know there are lots of other groups that good at their smooth performance. but with many members, have you found one? 😄
ps: i can recommend you some video of the members singing (predebut/after debut) if you want or you also can find it by yourself just search the members name 😄

I just think that Thanks was so graceful and emotional that it hides the fact that it was quite complex. Don't Wanna Cry is probably my favorite choreo but Thanks is next. Both are quite complex and emotional so I guess that's why they are the two best Choreo I've ever seen in my opinion. There is just something so magical with these two dances that I could not explain.

While Thanks has more complex movements and a harder synchronization, because it is a very delicate and graceful choreography people doesn't actually notice it. People thinks that it is harder because it is slower, just as some people think ballet is easier than hip hop because ballet is in a slower pace most of the time...

BTS can really dance, but they can't compete with Seventeen's choreograph. Seventeen is on another level when it comes to dancing, I haven't seen seen any group top them, few come close but non has wow me as much as Seventeen yet.

Well, you all know BTS and SEVENTEEN are really good friends but I would 1000%prefer SEVENTEEN than BTS no offence to people that stan BTS I am just saying what I feel. SEVENTEEN is a 13 member group so their composer, Woozi and their choreographer, Hoshi has way more job to do than BTS. Plus SEVENTEEN composes and choreographs their own MV, songs and dance. I am not being offensive but when I watch BTS I do laugh sometimes but SEVENTEEN I will laugh my ass off. They all can sing rap and dance. no hesitation when I say that SEVENTEEN is the best Kpop group. Although Seventeen have a lot of members, they really know how to utilize their 13 members so that instead of feeling crowded on stage, they are able to move as a unit and easily transition between members yet at the same time give each member a time to shine. SVT's transition and formation are one of the best I've ever seen despite so many members. After watching their choreo as a whole then focusing on a single member, you began to notice the small and precise details that go into each dance movement then realize how they all then add together to build up as a whole. Don't let the numbers of member turn you away from SVT because their choreo are one of a kind.

BTS and SVT are both really amazing! They both can dance pretty well! But I would choose SVT over BTS for couple of reasons but that doesn't make BTS any less.
1) I just like how synchronized Seventeen are it is so satisfying to watch!
2) they make their own Choreography they are hard worker!
3) So creative! I mean look at the dance moves! I haven't seen these moves in any other song!

I felt the same way too. Some people might think that SVT's choreo is "easy" but most of the time, it's just because they were able to execute it flawlessly. Again, it's not that Seventeen cannot do hard hitting move or complex dance moves, they certainly could. lillili yabbay for example is quite complex but they were able to do it because it was only features the members from the performance team. Doing too complex move with so many members could make it hard for viewers to focus, in my opinion. Seventeen's choreo, graceful, simple, and subtle, is something I felt like I don't see a lot of boy groups do, especially for their title tracks. It's not that others are bad but for Seventeen, it's just different.

I understand. Seventeen created a different style for themselves. They created something that whenever you listen to their song, it just feel different. I'm not saying they own any concept but they really made their marks in creating something that fans could say "Seventeen Vibe". In other words, Seventeen Brand Seventeen. That's why it is so hard to compare Seventeen to anyone when they are so different. Still KPOP but different. If you know what I mean. The same with not just their music but their Choreo as well. It's just different and that's what make it so great.

I think Seventeen's choreo have moments where it is "simple/easy" in the sense that it allows fans to dance along, for example the key dance "akkinda" in adore u and "yeuppuda" in pretty u and the "promise" move in thanks during the chorus. These moves also allowed fans to associate each dance to a particular song in a particular era. But from start to finish, all their choreo seems quite difficult because it requires such precise movement and energy on top of subtle movements that is difficult to see unless you watched it a few times. I'm sure there are other choreo from other groups like this also but I think Seventeen is the few where this really shines. I'm so amazed at Seventeen's ability to transition from gentle moves to sharp and powerful move in such a short amount of time. For example in DWC, the first verse started very gentle and then there is a sudden burst of energy when the chorus came. I applaud anyone who tried Seventeen's choreo because, like their music where there are many layers that make up a whole, their choreo have many layers to it as well. Sorry for the long essay. When it comes to Seventeen's choreo, there's just so much great things to see. LoL.

BTS is really talented, they are really really good on their own craft, I guess we already established that already and no fan (whether you're a fan of them or not) can say otherwise. Which are in no way relates to the point of THIS video smh. As if having many members make them less of an amazing and extremely talented group! Lol SVT's choreography is NOT EASY to do! Dancing is not just about the level of difficulty of doing a move but it's also about the preciseness and the synchronization. And SVT delievers that with 13 of them!! (Though for real SVT's choreography is so meticulous how dare you say it's easy!)

I think once I heard somewhere (from svt) that their choreography is actually pretty easy (But since there's many members it's difficult to sync together) because it is one of the many reasons many boy groups cover it, but their recent choreos are probably harder as they grow more and more.
