She sat on the beach
Staring out at the crashing waves
Her eyes misted over as she recalls his sweet kiss
As their lips touch, a cascade of feelings and dreams
Ran across her mind as she remembers a life time of love
She looks to the right, as she envisions a time
Where they both held hands in the rippling sands
And like a couple in love they run and frolic
With laughter and joy, as they splash and run in the sun
She now stares into the sunset as she watches
The pastel colours of light reflect off the ocean waves
And remembers how at this very spot they held each other tight
And as the evening shade caressed their warm cool skin
They sank to the sand in passion and ecstasy
Forever lost in dreams
She sits upon the shore
Recalling her memories of sweet tender love
She gasps….he turns with tears in his eyes
As he walks straight through the woman he loves
Was it the trick of the morning light?
Or did she see him once again
Hands shaking she blinks then rubs her eyes
It was just the morning light
She looks to the left
she looks to the right
There is no one in sight
Laden with a broken heart
She wanders back down the deserted beach
As she remembers a time before he was lost
GOOD BYE MY SERGI SAYS, KATIA. I HOPE TO SEE YOU ONCE AGAIN. UNTIL THEN...
Katia and Sergi are my two favorite figure skaters. Sergi will always be remembered by many and including myself. I hope and pray that Katia have continue to live a positive and happy life. She will meet him again in heaven.

Most beautiful couple
Their kind of love only happens once in a lifetime. She was blessed to have been with him from age 11 to age 24. If not for Daria, I don’t believe she would have managed to carry on. I can only imagine how many lonely hours she’s spent watching the videos of them together. Twenty plus years later I still cry when I see these films of them together. I remember the day they reported his death I cried for hours over her great loss. Katia is a woman of inconceivable strength and courage. Sergei would be so proud of his little Katia.
Janet Hartwig I'd like to think Sergei is in heaven waiting for his beautiful wife to spend all eternity together and then in later years their daughter daria. I know its been many years but its not the same without him on the ice with her. She look so sad and lonely without him.
@@leonieladner8631 I know. Its like a bit of that sparkle in her eyes is gone. But I loved what you said about him waiting for Katia in heaven. I know he is always taking care of her and his little girl ❤🕊
I would say she has gone on to lead a new life but that would probably be wrong. I know she has gone on to lead a different life. I know of no other pair like Sergei and Katia-a truly touching/amazing love story we continue to talk about over 25 years later.
