Hi, I got a new version of GeneratePress. At 47:20 of your video you access the LAYOUT ITEN at the side bar. My version of GeneratePress does not has this iten. Do you know how to access this iten in the new version, to disable elements just to one specific page? Tks. Cléber

Hope you don't think this is out of line but i did a page speed test on your website and the results were actually poor with a mobile speed of 30. There were a lot of render blocking issues going on as well as lots of "Reduce unused JavaScript" problems. I know its all great to not rely on plugins but there are a few that can very easily fix these problems.
You are 100% right. That's how it goes for web designers...we do client sites first and then worry about our own :) My website isn't using this theme but is being rebuilt with it right now. Mostly finishing up on content changes and then it will be live. That will help tremendously. And as I have with client sites, I'll be using this same set-up: ua-cam.com/video/d7GmrE1_HsQ/v-deo.html
Great video. I have been using GeneratePress for a while and I learned a lot from this. I must have missed something along the way in following along. When I set a featured image on the blog post and then view that blog post, not only does the image show in the header of the post as defined in the element that was created, but the featured image also appears in the body of the post like you would expect a featured image to do. However, the featured image is not showing in the body of your post in the video. Did you alter the default post layout during the tutorial where it does not show the featured image in the post and I just missed that part?

Wanted a detailed video badly but some changes are added in the new version, the add new element does not show Block type, only header, hook and layout. Some minor changes in this version kindly keep updating. Though the last section on elements was boring which i skipped, I was looking to make a blog website. I love Divi as a builder. Very easy to use. I even covered it here (although quite awhile ago). With that being said, It definitely loads slow (as do many page builders) that GeneratePress. There is extra CSS and JavaScript that gets added to the site. There are still many things you can do to reduce pagespeed as you can with other sites like optimizing images, using a CDN, good host, using a caching plugin, etc.
People who say Divi is good is selling them and getting a commission. Probably a fat one. Screw Divi. It locks your content to the Visual Builder. It’s so annoying. I had to get on with tech support probably 10 times within 26 days of purchasing it. Super annoying and slow too. Very laggy and slow page speeds (70s with trying basic optimization). Never get Divi! GP is the best I’ve found, I love it!!!
@@trevor7234 thanks for your feedback. I already have Divi for my clients and it's going to be so much work to change. I agree on many aspects what you say about Divi. Even using my own styles I have to use '!important' for my elements to obtain a lead over their styles. It is frustrating, but, with Divi a developer can still provide custom coding...just not easily. And I am living in hope that they will provide a faster framework soon...
For some reason, my version of GP Premium does not show Secondary Menu, and other details, such as customizing typography, background images and colors

You will need to use a self hosted option (wordpress.org) and not wordpress.com. With most hosts you will be able to install WordPres with 1-click and then you will be able to install GeneratePress.

I do have a question. My logo shows lovely on computer and tablet control but does not show on cellular device control. Do you know how to fix?

You are showing your license keys when you show your GeneratePress Dashboard at the start. Make sure you edit the video again for the privacy.

Seems like free version is about less than 1/4th of the premium version.
