While this song is innocent and bright, I've always had this other version of it in my head eversince I was a kid. if you watch the animatic MV version, you'll see miku singing and dancing about how she's a royalty, princess, and that her boyfriend should always put her first and never make her jealous. The chorus repeats that she's the one and only princess in his world, but near the end it switched up 'You're my one and only prince' and that he 'never understands anything', that to me is a (innocently) insecure and sometimes jealous girl acting up and pretending to be royalty, but on the inside she nervous and scared he'll leave her, so she puts on this persona of a snobby princess as sort of a defence mechanism. The switch up from I'M the princess to YOU'RE my prince (and "you don't understand anything") is her trying to make her bf realise how much she loves and appreciates him for loving her unconditionally and always putting up wth her childish demands

While this song is innocent and bright, I've always had this other version of it in my head eversince I was a kid. if you watch the animatic MV version, you'll see miku singing and dancing about how she's a royalty, princess, and that her boyfriend should always put her first and never make her jealous. The chorus repeats that she's the one and only princess in his world, but near the end it switched up 'You're my one and only prince' and that he 'never understands anything', that to me is a (innocently) insecure and sometimes jealous girl acting up and pretending to be royalty, but on the inside she nervous and scared he'll leave her, so she puts on this persona of a snobby princess as sort of a defence mechanism. The switch up from I'M the princess to YOU'RE my prince (and "you don't understand anything") is her trying to make her bf realise how much she loves and appreciates him for loving her unconditionally and always putting up wth her childish demands
