Vision boards create some kind of unhealthy pressure.I hate them too .

Yes! Somebody said it! I myself have also tried doing vision boards, and I know the idea behind them is to inspire you to reach your goal, but in my case they don't work out. Usually I'm more inspired by progress than watching a picture with the end goal. For instance, if I want to save for a trip, I'm more inspired by keeping track of the money I have saved, than by the pictures of the destination I want to visit.

Right there with you lady!! Vision boards are focused on the results, which can seem so far away and intangible. But an X in my journal today?? Or 7 X’s in a row?? Ahh that is gold! ✅✅✅ 😍
Thank you for watching this fren, have a good weekend!

A thoughtful video. Personally I find myself inspired when I make the vision board. Then I drop of in inspiration until I look at again. I think reading my goals out regularly is a better idea. I new just do vision boards because I enjoy the creative process. I think that is okay too.
Again, an enjoyable video. Loved it a lot. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you JR!! The creative part is so much fun that it’s easy to believe in the magic instead of making solid plans 🪄

Hello Alecia! Hope you are well! I love doing artsy collages, but no vision boards, as I prefer to write my goals because that way I can adjust them everytime I want/ need.
I see a japanese journaler that is into rings and she does vision boarding into it, she has it at the start of her planner. She only put in there how she wants to look during the year (Hair, nails, clothing...) things she want to spend money on without putting amounts, and things she want to do more but without explanation, just the images. After that section she has a "100 things to do list for the year" (As a goal page), so she has to look at it every start of the month. Rings are very versatile, so why not, but when you are in a bound notebook it can be complicated if you do not do your vision board as a big "tip-in page" that you put inside with washi to change if needed. 📎
But yes, Vision Boards are aestheticly pleasant to see, and you need time to make them. Maybe not putting anything goals related in it, just titles of what things are as you said in the video.
Then the only problem left is where you're gonna put it to see it everyday... in my case it's at my desk, or probably in my bedroom. Maybe putting it into a frame in a strategic place that is only dedicated for it? Decisions, decisions!🤓
Thank you for the video Alecia! Very interesting subject, as always. Hope your week is as good as mine! Sending you some good vibes from here! ✨😘✨

Hey Prisca! Ohh the idea of a “look book” or something for choosing outfits sounds so cool. I’m fashion-challenged so any inspiration is always helpful!! If a vision board can be used in conjunction with writing goals down and figuring out a game plan, it’s a lot of fun and can be a great reminder of your dreams. It’s something that needs more consideration than a lot of people give it. But I do miss making them so now I’m feeling torn!! haha
Anyway thank you Prisca!! It’s always good to hear your thoughts. 🤗 Sending you good vibes back and wishing you a fabulous weekend!!

@@AleciaLott Hello! Having a "look-book" can be cool if you have a capsule wardrobe, that way you know what misses or what's to be replaced. If you don't glue the images you can remove what is not necessary to be there anymore. You can do a Vision Board applying the Kanban method if you want to make it as a "step" for bigger goals that you have written into your planner, as if complementing each other. I've never done it, but I think it can work. The biggest problems with VB is the pressure it puts on you, and the guilt it brings if you didn't accomplished something that was on it. We often forget that we have to make things work for us, and not us working to fit into things! I think VB can be more flexible if you work it that way! (No timeline, no dead-end date, Step-phase of a goal, removable images, and writing simple titles). 📝
So I understand why people can't/ don't want to do them.
Hope you're having a great week-end too! Here it's raining so I'll be cosy at home!🌨Thank you for your reply, and take care! 😊✨
