Divorce court is tried in Family Court (ie civil court) not criminal court.

I went through the same thing. Lost my fully furnished house, moved in with my sister until I found an apartment. The next week someone hit me and totaled my car. I went from seeing my kids daily, to only weekends. All this happened in one month. But I bounced back...new vehicle, new home, and a even better job. I also get my kids half of the week now. It was rough as hell, but I did it. This also happened at a age that my kids know who was in the wrong and who cheated. Knowing that they know I wasn't the cheater does give me peace.

The "After" the divorce is what needs to be discussed. My after 15 years, my exwife tried to take me back to court to pay for her life insurance policy and petition for me to pay all the court fees.
What we have in America is women asking the courts for the world (all the mans assets), then leave it to the courts to stop her.
Follow up - ( In January 2022), I won the judgment, so now I can say all my legal actions with her are over.

That sounds good man, but a lot of the men who voted for these laws all believe that it will never happen to them, until it does. And the representatives of these cities and states will vote for these laws because the minute women start yelling about it, they'll do anything to keep their seat.
Michigan child support laws favor men a man told me that. I never could wrap my head around why the deadbeat was ordered to pay $3 a month! Because you can claim zero assets to Friend of the Court and as long as the arrears are kept under 10,000 no penalties. Indeed laws are made by men. That deadbeat paid only $200 in 18 years I’m starting to think he kept going back to prison to avoid his responsibility. She’s 22 and thriving but that deadbeat can kiss my natural behind.
My god this was brutal, I hope he and many of my brothers keep your head up, damn divorces and child support is some frightening situation!

I got ran through the wringer too...my kids mom is a bum and applied for TANIF without my knowledge. Here I am working my ass off supporting two households and get a letter in the mail from the state of Texas about how I owe so many thousands of dollars and a suit for child support...even though I was the one paying in FULL for daycare and had both of my children on my health insurance policy. I only have two more years to go...I can't wait!

Not just in divorce cases. The courts hurt good fathers from seeing their children every day. It doesn’t even matter if the mother is abusive. The court will still side with the mother, no matter. The only people who get punished are the father and the child or children. This system is not here to help us.

ummm, statistics dont lie. 90 percent of all child custody goes to women and 95 percent of alimony goes to women. Women also initiate 70 to 80 percent of all divorces.
