As a black female who is very private, introverted, independent, quiet, stay outta drama, stay to myself and non affectionate, i have and still will have a hard time finding a man for me. I feel like men will find and have found me boring.

It’s hard to be with someone in the military, many ppl think they can be with someone who is deployed months or yrs at a time, but it’s very difficult. If that was not what she wanted then it’s good for both of them..

That young man puts me in the mind of Bruce Leroy on Last Dragon, which came out when I was in high school. That fellow seems really nice and humble. He could have been really arrogant stating his credentials. But his personality seems to be humble at first impression. Humble is a rare trait. His intelligence, good looks, and diligence make up the icing on the cake. This young lady is headed toward regrets looking for excitement in a personality - as it seems. There are a lot of exciting people out there who have no honorable character and no drive. I see I have to go have another one of those talks with my preteen daughter.

I've been a black woman who has honored black men and love them so much and I'm single.. I am nowhere near these 2 young women who have judge this man. I would have loved to learn more about him. I think we just need to make sure and not group everybody. There are plenty of black women who would have given him a chance .
I am retired Navy myself. When I listen to brotha; it's like I'm listening and watching myself. We both study marital arts (Ninjutsu and Muay Thai myself). We both are into science; him being nuclear physics and I, Quantum Tech.; geeks at heart. We both are into business, although I did not go the conventional route. We both stay in the woodland areas of our cities. I use to flip & dip with sista's from Houston and sistas that moved to Houston. I'm now starting to question some things. This dude is too much of me; and it's scary, although I have no children that I know of. Sistas never came to me asking questions. Just saying!

@Edward J. Robinson thank you for that response brother. I’m trying to improve myself. Get my ish together, me, my daughter and both of my sons hit the gym 6 days week. No more sagging pants in public or anywhere for that matter. I even bought a couple of suits only one of them fits right. I bought my sons some too and making sure my teenage daughter dresses like a young lady and not a 304. My whole family has to dress for success not just me.

This Sista offends me. She didn't give him a chance and she offends me on so many levels. The Brotha in the video really seems like a good guy and she didn’t even give him a chance. He’s in the military and doing something great and he’s gonna be okay. When she says he had no “personality” it meant that in their conversation he presented no traits that would have provided her entertainment. This is a big problem with many women in general. They really want a man that is a constant source of entertainment, for instance, when I was younger, I was quite broody and moody and it would attract certain types of annoying women who found me mysterious. It actually was upsetting because its not fun or engaging for me to constantly be a source of entertainment for someone else.

I have gone through this and ended up marrying outside the race to who I thought was half black atleast( another story for another day) but then I divorced and had to have me a black woman. It’s a mistake to think it will work. It’s too many complications and situations that you will go through alone. They could never understand us.

I always read about BM marrying outside their race or going overseas to find a wife. Part of this MGTOW movement. I have a hard time imagining being married to a non FBA in these times in America. There are so many conversations I am having now that they can not fully understand or may get offended. I would hate to feel like I have filter my words in my own house.

My sister tells me he’s boring. She’s with a nucklehead with two baby mamas. It breaks my heart. And she’s 33, educated and has a wonderful career. It’s a sickness plaguing our young woman. My friends whom were married for almost a decade, recently divorced now were always lovely to each other. My female friend gave my male friend a chance. And my male friend was a good man who served his country and went to school for medical training. He worked odd jobs to support my female friend and yet he had "personality." He was a great man who always treated my female friend like a Queen and although they're divorced now, they're still friendly with each other. Whether you want to admit it or not Phil, the way these sisters reacted to this man is typical of most black women. One of them is an immigrant who obviously chose to adopt this low level mindset after being here in the US. This is why a lot of brothers don’t want to waste time with African American women anymore. They try and make it seem like decent black men who have their lives together are somehow not good enough when really it’s just a projection of them knowing they’re outclassed.

My female cousin did something like this; she turned down a man who was the polar opposite of the men she was used to laying down with, because, get this: he was too nice. @@dsolo2161 This was 2003 and I still remember the "contents" in the order they were laid out on that table. She had her first born who was under 4-years-old at the time. Right next to that table was a couch he slept on and it stunk! The nice one she turned down came around just before she had her 2nd (and last child. I wasn't surprised. Until this day, my heart races over the thought of what could've happened had either the rent office people or the maintenance man came in while his "supplies" were there and I was there with it exposed.

Those girls missed everything he said. He said he does martial arts which means he can fight. He said he worked as a pharmacist which means he knows the exact medication list that tell what medicine should not be given to black people and black women in particular for example black women should not be given lisinopril for high blood pressure because it elevates it which could cause them to have a stroke. Then he got bored and went on to be a nuclear physicist which mean he knows how to create the damn bombs and he knows how to defuse a bomb. Then he looks like a 16 year old and he is all the way grown so that means he has good genetics on top of a good skin care routine. He had so much going on for himself and she didn’t even give him a chance. That was so dumb she really dropped the ball with that one she didn’t even let him get a chance to show his personality 🙁. 😩 I hope she wakes up and get her priorities straight before she miss out on the next great guy.
And this is why I am glad that I looked world wide and found what I was looking for in another country (Philippines). I did not have to deal with any of this disdain that these two showed this guy. Again most black females think that they are above black men. They thought it was funny but will be upset when the tables are turned. Growing up I was seen as a nerd black woman never looked my direction so I focused on myself I went to emt school then graduated went to paramedic school and got my degree I'm staying focus and staying on my grind

They really want a man that is a constant source of entertainment, for instance, when I was younger, I was quite broody and moody and it would attract certain types of annoying women who found me mysterious. Right next to that table was a couch he slept on and it stunk! The nice one she turned down came around just before she had her 2nd (and last child. I wasn't surprised. Until this day, my heart races over the thought of what could've happened had either the rent office people or the maintenance man came in while his "supplies" were there and I was there with it exposed.

Those girls missed everything he said. He said he does martial arts which means he can fight. He said he worked as a pharmacist which means he knows the exact medication list that tell what medicine should not be given to black people and black women in particular for example black women should not be given lisinopril for high blood pressure because it elevates it which could cause them to have a stroke. Then he got bored and went on to be a nuclear physicist which mean he knows how to create the damn bombs and he knows how to defuse a bomb. Then he looks like a 16 year old and he is all the way grown so that means he has good genetics on top of a good skin care routine. He had so much going on for himself and she didn’t even give him a chance. That was so dumb she really dropped the ball with that one she didn’t even let him get a chance to show his personality 🙁. 😩 I hope she wakes up and get her priorities straight before she miss out on the next great guy.
And this is why I am glad that I looked world wide and found what I was looking for in another country (Philippines). I did not have to deal with any of this disdain that these two showed this guy.
