I hired the "standard" Hellcat while I was in the USA a few years ago - I fell in love with it, bright orange paintwork with racing stripes and all. I had it for a week and drove it everywhere in full 707bhp mode - what a car! Easy to drive (once you've learned a light touch on the throttle in town), super comfortable, plenty of space for passengers and luggage - and absolutely blisteringly fast when you stamp on the accelerator. It also handled surprisingly well - great grip, nice balance, good turn-in, fantastic brakes - it might not be a Porsche Cayman GT4 through the twisties but it's genuinely good fun and absolutely competent. An M3 couldn't get away from me through the mountains, then fell victim to that shrieking, bellowing, whining supercharged V8 on the first straight. This thing will light its rear tyres up on the highway at 70mph - just stand on the throttle and let it kick down, it overwhelms the rear tyres, shakes its hips for a moment then hooks up, lifts its nose and disappears up the road like an F14 Tomcat being launched off an aircraft carrier with a steam catapult. Magnificent.
