Both are amazing cars but you have a 3rd generation Mustang along with Camaro and Corvette while Challenger and Charger have been in the same generation for over a decade . I know Dodge has a big surprise in the next few years. Mercedes platform and chassis is definitely being replaced. Anyway the Redeye is just a small taste of whats yet to come. A rumored Widebody Charger Angel with a new platform and suspension and a 1000 HP 426 Hemi Motor would make me leave skid marks to the nearest Dodge dealer !!! Lol I'm born Dodge but i wouldn't buy right now. Def would wait to see what happens in the next few years. My brother just got a Redeye and i begged him to wait another year or two but he couldn't wait and spent the 90 grand lol
The cabin hasnt changed because the car will loose the retro nostalgia if they get too radical... Look in a 69 or 70 model & you can still feel the heritage transfer... BUT... They could upgrade the interior materials and visual technology... The interior of a Red Eye Should glow Red like your in the "Hot Place" & the Eye should blink with red Led's like you say... They could get some drama on for near 100k...
It must blow your mind to know that, when you drove that Challenger SRT8 ten years earlier,400-something was a crazy amount of HP back then. And Dodge is getting ready to launch the 807hp SRT Hellcat SuperStock.
A great car for city driving! Let you get merge into the street lane and the highway lane. On the highway, you can keep up with traffic! Nice passing power too! Not good on snowy conditions however!
I’ve owned a ZL1 Camaro and a Shelby Mustang they where ok but had no room at all and rode like,I’ll say it crap. Awesome vehicle that I would love to run up and down Central Ave with on a Saturday night as this is definitely a boulevard hotshot that is going to draw a lot of attention(wanted and unwanted). Having driven this car, I have to say there is nothing from an OEM that screams Angry Power like this does. Forget the sound system in the dash, the only one needed is under that hood. Nice job Steve!!!
This is a beautiful beast ! I still think the widebody Scatty is the best bang for your buck ! A car that can do 160 mph if your foolish enough yet very capable of mid 20 mpg on a 70-75 mph cruise on the highway. Identical good looks at half the price ! That is insane ! I had the 2008 Challenger SRT8 in black . I purchased it from a dodge dealer owner who put 1900 miles on it in six yesrs . Completely loaded and black . I sold it and regretted it. Next year I will get the Scatpack widebody in pearl black. Hell you only live once ! Right ? Steve you always do great reviews 👍 ❗
SRT BOSS RIchard Kunnis stated that is just the begining phase. New platform and chassis coming and should knock off over 400 lbs off the car weight. New suspension we already know about. The big mystery is what Monster Hemi motor will they be putting to this animal ! Lol rumored 426 Hemi with estimated 900 to 1000 hp would be the icing on the cake lol Dodge def going to exceed the 800 hp Redeye motor we have now in the next few years. Challenger will probably go into a new generation also.
Raymond Rocco A major setback is that the government have warned dodge to either stop the challenger and charger production or continue making them as electric cars.
There’s actually quite different. The demon is hands down the best factory drag car made, different suspension made for straight line runs. The redeye is more Of a street monster , not as fast in the 1/4 but handles quite well for a very heavy car.
I personally like the interior treatment. It's a very comfortable place to spend an afternoon cruising. I own a '17 TA392 with the same interior. I also have the Harman in mine and don't understand why the reviewer was disappointed, because he didn't qualify his statement. The system is crystal clear, pounds if you want it to. The only comment I would make is that I would have liked to have more volume, but not at the expense of the clarity.

Mitchell McKee Sorry - at this price point it is a awash in plastic and unimaginative design. Seats and electronics are great - which I noted - but no other car in this price range skates with such a low grade interior.
@@stevehammes Then how would you describe the interiors of the latest Camaros and Mustangs? The Camaro’s are small. Challenger’s are spacious and comfy. You can take them to work, the grocery store, on a road trip and destroy everyone at the drag strip.

Indigo Blue with the Red leather, all options minus stripes or a sunroof. Is not my first fun car, I'm 54, I compare my Redeye to big liter sport bikes for people, the acceleration is stupid fast. The car cannot be driven in anger, it is a constant drive with a smile, between exhaust and whine, and a quick heavy right foot, you are triple digits in speed and heart rate in mere seconds.. Never a dull moment. I don't compare it to other cars, because it's in a whole different class. My '05 STI would destroy it on a twisty road, which is a different kind of fun, but when I start runway racing, it will be the Redeye that gets me in the 200 club. Only a small handful of cars will break into the 200 mph club, and even less US made cars.
Major kudos to Dodge for building such a beast.

Only a small handful of cars will break into the 200 mph club, and even
less US made cars.
My new dream's car
I guess you haven't driven a pre 2015 challenger as the interior was completely different.
Yeah, only about a dozen.
