    You are an excellent instructor, and your tips made my first attempt at drywall a breeze, especially scrape as much as you can to prevent extra sanding, and wet the sandpaper to prevent extra dust. This video was perfect. Thanks Phil.

      In 1939 Robert and Stan Ames invented the 1st set dry wall sander

    Phil, thank you so much for posting! As I am sure everyone else who has watched, I appreciate your video with the simple explanation & the demonstration on how to mud & sand! I am beginning my first big project & want to see more from you! Do you have a video you can upload on what to do after sanding to prime the walls? I would imagine there is a lot of particulates that needs wiped down, but I don't know!

    Great video! Between this and the mudding video I am feeling much more confident to take on the next room! I'd love one on how to correct mistakes after the wall has been primed. That's where I am currently stuck in my home.

    Phil, thank you for producing what you have done, I know that it does take time and effort to do. It would have been nice to see further steps in your educational videos such as skim coats and priming. It would also be nice to see the walls primed and shown what to look for in touch up after the primer coat. Again, thank you for what you have done.

    Phil how would I take peeling paint off a ceiling. Looks like Previous owner just painted the ceiling and it's flaking off.

      Use a 6 inch drywall knife and scrape it completely down and then you'll have to take mud thin it down roll it on with a half inch and a half roller then Tip It Off you'll have to skim coat the whole ceiling to make it smooth

      I use 100 grit and then take a broom and brush down the wall

    I've never seen a sander mop or whatever that is.
    So would ab electric sander be too much?
    Side note, your mic is really picking up the sound of the sanding. Made it a lil hard to hear, but I got what you were saying.

    Can or should I sand in between coats. Given this is my very first attempt at plastering, it’s not too flash so I thought a light sand in between might help.

    How to deal with busted sheetrock corners? Every piece has a corner that is damaged, or my son and I bust a corner moving them around..can you still screw to wall or ? Houston,TX.. thanks for video

    I removed popcorn on 2 ceilings, the ceilings look great actually. Now do I have to sand the ENTIRE ceiling or just where I do the repairs?
    Also how do you wipe it clean before priming?

    I grew up watching my dad do this. Now I'm having to do this and he is gone. Help me out here, Phil. Where is the priming video? What grit are you using? Is it the same grit all the time? I thought my dad sanded between each coat.
