Who is Thomas, how much does he charge to make the change? I upgraded my 4" to 8" on my 2018 GT and I ordered a vlinker and downloaded, installed, and activated FORscan. I'm not sure what changes are required. I was able to fix the hazard lights myself. I'd also like to enable the drive modes.
I have an Ecoboost Premium with the drive modes and they make a huge difference. Normal feels like it's sluggish until you really get on it and Sport, Sport+, and Track all feel much faster when just lightly getting on the gas. But yeah I'm really digging your car man it's coming together quite nicely. It's making me want to trade in for a GT.
Yeah, throttle response makes such a big difference in how a car feels! If you upgrade, you won’t regret it, but just make sure you’re ready and financial able to do so!
I just activated them on my 2020gt which is a base model, I can only get sport mode, normal, and drag strip mode to work the setting for sport plus and wet/snow says unavailable. Now I don't usually believe stuff like this makes big difference but I can honestly say in drag strip mode my car was a whole different thing I mean felt like when I had my foxbody and hit the nitrous and it kicks your car forward that's how it felt I just wish I could get the other modes to work as well.

I did have to disconnect the battery and it took about 2 hours to do. It reset my sync setting ie clock, preset audio, radio signals after hooking the batter back up.

How can you not love a mustang gt...honestly. I knew you would get sick of that fugly ass 3 inch screen from your base model! Happy you upgraded that infotainment system. Really should be a standard on all mustangs, even the base models...shame on you Ford!
@@479brayden7 I could always feel the difference between sport and normal. The addition of sport+ is great, having an Automatic. The ability to select-shift, with the stiffer shift points and have it go back into auto-shift automatically is really nice.
Okay I definitely need to find out how to activate modes on my 20 as well now, I'm pretty good with forscan now so I'm sure I can do it hopefully I can find info on how exactly to do it. Lol
@@jasonquiroz3899 so I got modes to show but it'll only turn on dragstrip and sport mode, the other options track, wet/snow won't work says unavailable. I did notice that it was bit more peppy in drag strip mode, I was using paddles and rolled into 3rd (10spd) and I run nittos and it broke loose really easy. I need to figure out why the other modes won't work and now my fuel consumption left is 4 digits now I wish I got 2356km/tank, obviously I need to adjust something but I'm getting there. Drag strip mode opens exhaust and makes throttle more responsive, I'd like to get snow/ wet mode to work though for rainy day's as it'll make throttle less touchy.
@@philthypony thanks so much! I currently upgraded my 4 to 8 inch display and I got 2 things going on. One, I got the old school chime when you open door, door ajar, going in reverse, and not putting seatbelts on. The sounds seems like they came from an old ford. Flat sounding chimes even. Also my radio was louder than when I installed the 8inch screen. Any suggestions?
@@jasonquiroz3899 so you can go into forscan and disable the factory EQ which is there to try and protect damaging stock speakers, I replaced my doors and tweets and then turned that setting off and it sounds 100x cleaner/crisper so that's the music part. I'm not sure if I'm understanding this right but I'll take a shot, I had to go in and disable those thing's I think twice I did it just to be sure I did it correctly and I've not had chimes, seatbelt dinger, etc.

Yes. Trans can do that sometimes in sport mode

Track
Snow/Wet
What did I miss?
