Yea as a beginner coming into tattoos, it Gives me a good visual idea about how deep the needle was to get the job done and how many times you could pass over a line because in my mind I use to think you should make only one pass to make a line and that it should be perfect and solid my first stroke (in reality it is better If it plays out like that) but that's not always the case and it's alright to go over a line again to make sure it's crisp.

You double line a lot of your lines, if not all. I've always been told to shoot for one pass lines, but I never have been able to get them good and bold without a second pass. Is that something you do on every piece or is it just because you're using red?

You can saturate with whatever you're comfortable with smaller needles can cause more trauma during the tattooing process but you'll get it with the comfortable speed you feel best with running so my opinion you can use whatever you want just be mindful of how much you actually work the skin
