Great video!!! I just did my 19 with guidance from your well detailed video. Assistance with those clips would have been great haha. I had to go opposite for the orientation of the actual unit as my in out is opposite your 20 and my plugs are blue and green. But very easy to adjust. It almost felt like cheating with your help. Great work.
Good Clear instructions! too bad i found this video after i broke the little blue clip! I am having trouble unlocking my electrical connector! i know you said you used channel locks but I'm so afraid to break the plug! I am taking my time and have spayed the connector with some electrical connector cleaner hoping it loosens up! thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video. I just installed this on my truck. That blue clip was strange and I didn't know if it was released until I pulled on the line. Honestly the part I spent the most time on was reconnecting the electrical plug. It didn't want to latch for me.
Hi. I like your video, it helped a lot when I did mine. I noticed that you said there was a seal that came with the filter 16:47, I believe that goes on the outside of the threaded part of the filter.
I like your vid. I have an 18’. I didn’t burp mine and when I started it fuel shot everywhere. I opened the drain after I ran it for a while and fuel just dripped out of it. So not sure if it working properly or not 😂
I wonder if this system can get installed on my Lm2 as well , i mean either your truck and mine both use same filter cartridge soo.. and i know VSE has a newer model with 2 filters..
The issue with this is it puts the filter on the clean side and once you get the water in fuel message you are already sending it to your injectors damaging them.
@@FROGMAN524 my kit arrived wed. have you done anything with the crank case vent system? we have both done the same mods so far it looks like. mine has everything banks makes on it.
One more thing man, how low does the sensor sit in the new fuel filter system ? I’ve seen a different video where someone explain the sensor doesn’t sit low enough in those system to sense water in the filter therefore it is a better micron filter with a bad sensor position.. did u check on that ? What’s your take ?
@@Italianborn I have not heard that but it does sit a bit higher than before. I think if you get bad fuel with water in it, it will be more than just a tiny amount that would only fill up the bottom inch of the filter.
When you get water in your fuel, and draining the bowl everyday or twice a day, you’ll be happy you have a spin on filter. Way easier to drain. With stock you have to get a ratchet and soak your tools and hands. Spin on you can avoid most of that mess.

Thanks alot for this! Saved me such a headache with the fuel lines
I hate that blue clip but this is the only video that shows any detail on how to install this. Thanks bud

Excellent job on the video.
Well done brother.

Should of installed the inner o-ring .. fleece shows it on the product pictures installed
You're right. I missed it and went back and did that off camera the following day.
The issue with this is it puts the filter on the clean side and once you get the water in fuel message you are already sending it to your injectors damaging them.
What do you mean it puts the filter on the clean side?
"extra seal" goes over the threaded part where the filter screws on, should have used it.
Yeah, I actually figured that out and put it back on the next day

Is it still holding up well?
Will the different upgraded filter come with the small seal as well for the sensor now ?
No as the small blue o ring does not seal to anything anymore and can be removed is my understanding.

How much does a setup like this cost?
around 200
Another approach is just to buy the $100 aluminum cap to replace the plastic cap. From what I read, the filter itself is actually good.
Check the forums, tons of torn stock filters letting debris through to the injection pump and injectors.
That stock filter is dog crap.

What is the benefit of this mod?
Eliminate the stock filter to a more robust design. And simplify future fuel filter changes.
