I love how you have created such a genuine connection and bond with the people up in the cape. Bridging the gap and learning from TA’s is so important. Thanks again for another great episode!!
Loved it all Nate and totally agree that people need to see it all . The habituated people who shop in a supermarket and look down on hunting/fishing and foraging are quite hypocritical and blindly following consumerism that destroys more than they can imagine .
A really uneducated statement. Or maybe an over educated one. We can't all live feral or the earth would be ruined quickly. Also these videos are more staged than you can imagine. I've lived and worked in these areas and it's nothing like you are seeing here.
What a great video...opened my eyes up of how our indigenous people live from the land. What a great community they have. Thank you Paul from Melbourne
Bless you all. That was a wonderful insight into the community, hunting practices, and cooking/distributing/sharing etc.. And the wildlife encounters were special. Back in the 80s, my Dad worked on the Bauxite processing plant in Weipa , installing the conveyer belt system and basically helping set the plant up. I believe (according to Google maps) that the site and since been dismantled. We were living in south Q'ld (near Beenleigh) so he would go on work trips for a month or 2 at a time. He would always find the trip amazing and talk about seeing the big crocs basking on the beaches. I never got to see it a miss Australia. So much I didn't explore. But videos like this help to enjoy and appreciate cultures and scenery that I would not be able to experience, especially as I am so far away. So thankyou to all that participate in making and featuring in these videos.
Thanks again Nate for another awesome video with big bro Jason & my nephew Eli, ,you are always welcome to come back my home,&,my old people home Old Mapoon ,,cheers brother 👍
Wow this is what I've been missing ,just a really well done doc a really natural authentic deal reminds me of Mal Douglas, felt like being with old friends really beautifully done mate thankyou.👏👏👏
You are doing something meaningful with your life Nate, most of us are just doing the daily Dejavu grind, same thing every day without substance. I pray you and your family will continue to be blessed with peace, health, and knowledge for your important works. All the ppl you come across have a true relationship with Mother Earth and are so humble, they are definitely living the way we’re all supposed to I believe. Thank you and all of the legends you come across for sharing this beautiful way of life 🙏🏼🤙🏼
Hello Nathan and everyone awesome stuff guys keep up the great videos blessings and cheers from far north Queensland tablelands thanks for sharing love it
Love your vids mate, I’m glad you’re being invited into the region to show people from the south what is like up here. Please don’t feel bad to show the process, show your kids, show the people. It’s real life mate, everyone that eats meat should have to see or kill an animal once in their life to know what it means to eat meat. Too many people do it with no respect for it and waste so much. No hate to anyone if they don’t, that’s fine. Keep it coming… cheers.
Awesome once again mate, those guys are bloody legends! I will say that feast made me very very hungry! So great to see the appreciation you are getting for your hard work legend man, and for your sharing of culture and history of this beautiful country, I thank you deeply! How delicious is magpie goose! 🤤 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Happy birthday opie 🧁 another blessing to see this one nath 🙏🏽 thanks for sharing brother.much love and respect safe travels mate ..thanks for the extra stickers 💙 only took a few days to get here w.a thanks nath.
Hello Nath and Mel. What a good cook up that was very enjoyable. Will you be getting together with Jordo soon? We have been out of action for a bit a lot going on and looking forward to the weather warming up here...Take for now. The Wild Screechers...
Hope you 2 are well over there! Yeah I’ll be seeing Jordo this year for sure. I missed him last season as we had a cyclone come thru and chase us off the cape.
Thanks for another wonderful video, Nate. I agree with you; everyone needs to know where their meat comes from. I personally have no problem with them hunting turtles or dugongs because they use all, if not most, of the turtle or dugong. They almost never let any part of the animal go to waste and respect the animal.
Saw those crocs there lad and first thing that came to my mind was croc tail cooking on a spit over charcoal, marinating in soy sauce and brown sugar. Ask the local lads next time.
Camped at Cullen point at mapoon in the 90's 15kg Spaniards off the beach and as many Barra as you could catch in Ducie creek thanks for the reminder of the area
You know what I just realised , you have brilliantly shown the blue Print on how to bridge the gap between very difficult historical racial problems , in that the usual activist strategy is based on relentless guilt and resulting in division and these activists assume that generally we are all ignorant on these injustices and need it to be rammed down our throats, many of us are very embarrassed by historical atrocities but you bring us all together by giving a natural voice of those who lost, their voice educates us and calms us putting aside the anger and moving on together , your medium is a political and brilliant , thank you and well done ❤
Right, living like this for thousands of years. Hunting with shotguns. Cooking in pots with veg and spices. Hunting in tinnies with outboards. Spearguns. Wetsuits. Diesel trucks. Garlic. Ginger. French cooking knives. Fishing rods. Lures. But hey, keep off our sacred sites.
Nathan are you intending to head North to the outer lying islands, they are a little more remote and should make for some great adventures, especially fishing.
Hi Nath every time you get in those salty waters I’m on the edge of my seat don’t know how you do it Great work. What editing software do you use to create your awesome videos 👍🇦🇺
Hi Nathan Just a question, Have been to Hope Vale? Or considered making content in Hope Vale? My brother who lives up there has a UA-cam Channel called ‘Hunting The Homelands’ it would be cool to collaborate with him and make hunting content with them.
I'd like to be in a situation where I could justify, as a waybala, a reason to try long neck turtle. I've had snake necks as pets, but never thought of them as food until now. Up in (or down for you) kuku yalanji country around Wujal Wujal, we call sea turtle, ngawia, which is my given bama name/totem. The old ladies gave me that name.
Is it wimpy to use mosquitoes repellent? Cause a lot of videos I watch with Australians hunting mosquitoes are eating them alive. Or does the repellent not work 🤷🏽♂️ I’m all down for woods and shit but not to be Eating alive by mosquitoes 🦟
Too much mosquitoes and sand flies.. no good.. we need to build resorts and holiday accommodation for wealthy people and tourists.. for the benefits of our indigenous community.
Your content is brilliant and I am a Yank from the states. Our country just like yours is being swallowed alive by woke idiots who cannot stand to see real life meat processing. I hate this trend and hope that it will swing back to common sense one day. I love your content and want to learn more about the abo fellas.
I love how you have created such a genuine connection and bond with the people up in the cape. Bridging the gap and learning from TA’s is so important. Thanks again for another great episode!!
Yet another exciting, well documented episode, beautiful people whom obviously appreciate what your doing. WELL DONE NATHAN! 👏🏻👌🏻🤎
Thank you Nate, your fam, and all the good people that you share with us. Most awesome. Cheers to all from Canada. Keep up the excellent work!
love these videos so much

Double thumbs up!
Everyone is just so blindly judgemental of others hey, it’s a crazy world. Glad you’re still here enjoying it all. ✌🏼
@@WildReaches Wouldn't miss a video from you Nate with your wonderful humanity .
