    Beaucarnea recurvata or beeaucarnea guatemalensis? One likes more water then the other.

    Ha!!! Love your filming and ending!! “Ok now for 3 hours of editing!” 😂😂😂 subscribed that second!
    I have two ponytails that’s I’ve ignored for a few years in a covered outside patio now they are inside. But a friend just gave me a 4 FOOT (had to sit on the floor of my car too tall for a seat) pony tail plant she couldn’t take in a move and I want to care for it as much as she did!!

      Yes I have watched so many videos! I watch his videos at work because I work overnight! He is a cool dude & he has so many trees! True story when I started buying ponytail palms I tried to do what he does. I removed all soil washed roots out it in perlite and it died due to over watering. Just perlite holds to much water for indoor plants idk what I was thinking! His trees and greenhouse are beautiful! I love his chickens too always making noise! So cool 😎 glad you shared that info! His trees do so well because they get true sun light so he can water everyday and the soil dries out! He makes his own bonsai mix so cool!

      @@staciewright6100 He is also a good bonsai teacher, because he explains why and where he is pruning that branch and stuff. Also his english is easy for me to understand ( I‘m german!). I admire the calm he radiates when he spend hours pruning the little trees…

    My ponytail plant does wonderful in the house. I’ve had it for about 8 years and it’s huge. I just bought a smaller one from Lowe’s this spring and it’s doing great in the house also. Thanks for your planting tips…

    I love plants like this, how many years do they need to grow like this?
    And do you know how we can maintain a spherical shape at the bottom, I saw that the upper part also gets thicker, and it is much more beautiful when it is thin all the way up.

    I agree that repotting them is a must. I myself go ahead and treat them for pests (even on the roots) when I do because I have found that they all have pests hiding in the green strands. I use half water half alchohol with just a little Dawn dish liquid mixed and spray everything down. Let it sit a few minutes and rinse. Then repot. I use regular Miracle grow dirt mixed with perlite and orchard bark. It works great. I water once a month after that and make sure to wash off those green leaves occasionally too to keep pests away. Mine are all inside and green as ever. I'm addicted to them I think. I have two big ones and one small but want more. Ha! I could stare at them all day. Guess I just have a love for little trees. I want a weeping Japanese Maple eventually.

    • @staciewright6100
      @staciewright6100  2 роки тому +1

      It’s not necessary but ponytail palms like very breathable soil and don’t need a lot of water because they hold a lot of water. As long as it’s a good draining soil mix you should be good! You don’t want the soil to hold a lot of water! Hope that helps I’m still learning as well
