I'm also live in Quezon City near Cubao area or Araneta Coliseum, when I'm in the Philippines but now I'm here in Taiwan..I also support you twins A'TIN Taiwan here 🫶🤘
Next, try exploring Mall of Asia (MOA), the largest mall in the Philippines. You’ll get tired going around it. From food to fashion to leisure and entertainment, they got it all. And also try to go to Dampa Seaside Market, which is just 5-10 minutes away from Mall of Asia via Grab. It's like a Mini Market that offers fresh seafood that you can buy and have it cooked to your liking, then serve it fresh to your table. Btw, It is located along Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City, Manila
Just a friendly reminder when you go to public places keep your bags and valuables safe, put it in front of you as much as possible. Unfortunately, not all places in Metro Manila are safe.
Always secure your bag on your front side specially when in shoulder to shoulder crowd situation. Always be mindful of your valuables. There are seasoned pickpockets out there that would just quick bump you and voila - they already have your cell phone. There are a lot of ways you cannot imagine, just keep safe.
Actually you are right coz Cubao is under Quezon City and Quezon City is under Metro Manila, Manila City is different tho, it is where luneta park, manila zoo, national meuseum, etc is located. I suggest you guys go to Art Island, that is super near in Araneta, Cubao Area. I’m sure you guys will enjoy there..
Silog is a breakfast staple in the philipines SI- sinangag( fried rice) and LOG- itlog( egg), and then you can add anything in your silog like corn beef, tocino, pork, chicken, or fish.
Kia Ora bros! I'm glad to see you enjoying your exploration in Manila. Do make sure you keep your important possessions, bags within your sight at all times when going into a crowded place. Pick pockets don't make themselves look shabby, they dress up nicely to blend in well like in BGC. More places to check out would be the Eastwood City (Hollywood version) in Quezon city, Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig City, Makati area go visit the Greenbelt 1 2 3 4 & 5 Malls, Triangle Mall, Rockwell Centre (PowerPoint mall - high end mall), Mall of Asia (MOA) overlooking th Manila Bay (currently undergoing development as part of a reclamation project to build a new commercial and residential solar powered modern city).
Suggestions, suggestions... Boracay, Siargao and Palawan are good options if you wanna meet other foreigners since they flock to the beaches. If you wanna immerse yourself in the local city life with daytrips on the side, try Baguio, Cebu or Iloilo - Baguio if you want some cold weather, highlands culture, day trips to the mountain tribes or the Rice Terraces which is a UNESCO site. Cebu if you want a city right next to amazing beaches, heck loads of diving and canyoneering. Iloilo is a laid back Manila currently investing on their history and revitalizing their heritage sites, so if you're into pretty churches and buildings, might as well pay a visit. It's also a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, so expect a full tummy. Up north there's Pampanga, culinary capital. And Vigan, Spanish colonial city (UNESCO too). La Union for a more local alternative to Siargao (they're both surfing hotspots). Choose your fighter.
Araneta City is an estate development located in Quezon City. Just like before you guys went to BGC (Bonifacio Global City) another estate development is located in Taguig City. Estate development is a place where you can find all your basic needs within walking distance where you can live, play and work. It is a small city within the city 😊.
cubao was the first commercial area in metro manila. my core memory of cubao in my younger years is the christmas shows on a department store's façade every december, where human-sized puppets "act out" whatever story the store chooses to feature that year. also, i think it's ali mall that had the rollerskating rink in the 80's/90's, when skating was a "cool" dating activity then.
Hello Jason and Philip😀! I suggest you visit, or should I say explore, the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City, one of the biggest malls in the Philippines, I'm telling you guys you won't be disappointed... and then after that you should also go and explore all the malls in Makati City one of which is Rockwell and also SM Makati wherein you will find anything and everything... I think you should go to this places first before going to Boracay or El Nido in Palawan... Oh I am hoping that both of you will have a good time while you are here in the Philippines❤️❤️
Take the MRT from Cubao going to North Ave. Get down at Trinoma Mall. Walk to Vertis Mall. Walk to SM City. Solaire Resort and Seda Hotel are also walking distance
check out Intramuros next! and also some of our provinces. Tagaytay is near Manila you can go there as well to see the famous Taal Volcano. really hope you can also experience the Christmas and New Year in the Philippines.
As early as september 1st is the start of Christmas Season in the Philippines we start decorating iur houses, churches, lamp post, Malls, School etc. and malls start olaying christmas songs. (sept to january)
how's the heat tho? be sure to prepare fans or any cooling devices. queuing can get hot before we actually get inside the dome in gbv. and keep some cash in case online banking or wallets glitches
Here in the Philippines, we have breakfast sets, protein with egg and fried rice we call them like CornbeefSiLog or HotdogSiLog or TapSiLog. In SiLog, "Si" means Sinangag in english fried rice and "Log" means It"log" or egg in english then like you ate cornbeef and chicken as the protein. TapSiLog is one of the most famos breakfast wet. "Tap" or Tapa in Filipino is a sweet-savory cured beef with pan cooked. Basically, like I mentioned protein, fried rice and egg.
