@@PBKreviews What I question is the choice to put the battery basically right up against the copper heat transfer plate. Vapor chamber or not, I suspect it will get the battery warmer than it would otherwise, which is not great.
True, there are those two flex cables running in between the copper and battery, however not sure if that helps any. Aside from the heat, the whole removal of the battery with that metal plate is actually a plus in my opinion because it made the removal of the battery very easy compared to when its adhered down and requires you to pry it off and warp the battery etc.

The razr phone 2 is taken apart from the rear not front, so removing the speaker grills really does nothing. The razr phone 1 is different and yes on razr phone one you take the speaker grills off first.
As I have told others before, after taking the phone apart, all that's left is for you to pry the screen off. Its only held on with adhesive. You just heat it up and pry it off the frame. The point is you need to take the phone apart to be able to disconnect the screen cable and be able to reconnect the screen cable for your new screen. If you can't figure out that part then you should not even be taking a phone apart to begin with because you will most likely damage parts along the way of the disassembly which will render your phone useless even before you get to the screen part. It's like taking the bolts off a rim that's on a car then asking someone ok now that the bolts are off, how do I remove the rim with tire off the car? you just pull it off.

pwrdbykyank really? Another marketing gimmick saying its a thick (not that thick) vapor chamber then. :/
Like ur video btw, hope u can do teardown for Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, wanna see the new dual liquid cooling they have on their gaming phone. Subscribed :)
Not sure how something that thin can be a vapor chamber but ya it was a very thin copper flat against the midframe, im sure it disperses the heat well but again i dont like how they put it behind the screen. Also thanks, i will look into getting that phone and doing one. Im going to post one of the rog phone and the red hydrogen one phone soon so keep an eye out for it
@@PBKreviews What I question is the choice to put the battery basically right up against the copper heat transfer plate. Vapor chamber or not, I suspect it will get the battery warmer than it would otherwise, which is not great.
True, there are those two flex cables running in between the copper and battery, however not sure if that helps any. Aside from the heat, the whole removal of the battery with that metal plate is actually a plus in my opinion because it made the removal of the battery very easy compared to when its adhered down and requires you to pry it off and warp the battery etc.
how to replace the lcd screen on rp2
Once you have disassembled the phone as shown in the video, its just held on with adhesive and you can heat it up and pry it off the midframe.
I have a quick and possibly stupid question: where the wireless charging nodes located? I use a wireless charging pad and I have to keep moving the phone all around until I get a charge. However, it is super unreliable.Thank in advance everyone!!
Hi, its the black square pad with the coil (circle pattern within it) on the back. Pretty much from the middle back of the phone to the lower bottom of the phone.
@@PBKreviews I bought this pad but it chargers very particularly - i have to spend like 10 minutes for the proper placement. Would you recommend some affordable and accessable wireless chargers - my charging port is completely messed up?
anyone know where to get a back glass replacement for this phone ???
Probably not available yet, try contacting razer and see if they offer any replacement options
I broke mine too but they they dont send replacement parts. they fix it and it uses the warranty
Anyone know where can I get speaker grill for this phone
Not sure at the moment
Nice. Using a razor to remove the razer.
:)
Nice
Where is the microfone
the main mic you speak into is @9:30 in the video to the bottom left of the video under where the vibrator motor sits. Its a small rectangle gold metal piece.
@@PBKreviews thanks man!
Such a shame that you can't buy batteries anywhere. I'd already own this phone if they weren't meant to be so disposable.
Yep, have you tried contacting razer to replace it for you?
Where the f*** is the front microphone
the main microphone is located on the bottom right corner of the charger port board. Its a small gold rectangular metal piece.

Aaaaaaand on the first step I cracked my back glass.......
Sorry to hear that. They are fragile you need to be patient and take your time as well as apply heat to loosen the adhesive a bit.
@@PBKreviews I did apply heat to loosen the adhesive but it still cracked. At least my phone case will cover it up.
@@solesoul2108 Yup. Just incase you need a replacement, there is one on ebay : www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-MIRROR-Black-Battery-Door-Cover-Tool-for-Razer-Phone-2-5-72-ZVHB703/193748405903?hash=item2d1c4e0e8f:g:4JwAAOSwLKxfrqz2
Take off speaker grill if didn't know u can remove them and remove screen easier 😂🤦🏼♀️
The razr phone 2 is taken apart from the rear not front, so removing the speaker grills really does nothing. The razr phone 1 is different and yes on razr phone one you take the speaker grills off first.
I own razer 2 that's how mine was removed
@@PBKreviewsdo you know where I could find replacement speaker grills?
Fuk this Shit . im just gonna buy a New One 🤣🤣🤣
Ok so u didnt show how to take the screen out... thanks for nothing..
Is the memory for this phone on the main board i shattered my screen and bought a parts phone, hoping to just switch over the main board and be done.. First teardown ever
