Just found your channel and subbed. Great video and editing. Very nice setup you have and kudos to you for being able to haul your gear over a considerable distance. Grats on the gold and thank you both for sharing.
I just saw this latest video. That spot is rich. If you want a game changer. I highly recommend you get a hydroforce 200 dryland dredge nozzle. Midwestprospector sells them for less than $300us. Look up video for it. Then you can work them banks without your pick. Saves time, labor and your back. Attach a crashbox to your hopper with a 2" hose connector. Use your presure hose fit right to the nozzle. I suspect it will x10 your production. I'm not affiliated with MWP or anything, I just like to help others succeed. God bless you and your family.
G'day Henry! Thanks for watching and for dropping a comment mate. Unfortunately here in Australia any form of dredging isn't permitted. The rules state that only manual means of excavation (ie hand tools) may be used for prospecting. Silly rule, but that's the world we live in now sadly. Appreciate your advice anyway, cheers!
Ok thank you that nice gold lots of work at least your staying in good shape and you can feed your self wife and kids so like me I enjoy it yes little pain at the end of the day but you can survive each day working that hard and can put a little money in the mason jar out in the back yard enjoy God bless
Thanks Jethro! Slowly but surely improving my camera skills, I need to slow my head movements down when I'm recording though I've noticed. Slow is just a tough gear for me haha. Cheers!
Lucky enough to have UA-cam suggest your channel, what an awesome first video to get to see, I'm looking forward to watching the rest and your future adventures! Legend 🤘
Nice work, I like the trommel set up, when I get time I'll look at building one, just so many projects and trying to get out bush, not enough time in the day. Keep up the good work and you'll be at 1k subs soon enough. New sub to your channel. Cheers Pete
Great to see an honest Aussie type show on mining……don’t want to know the exact location, just the state your in please…I’d say Victoria with that amount of illuvial gold. Just subscribed and was very impressed with your setup, filming and editing. Just starting to watch your other episodes. 👍🏻🇦🇺😁
You guessed correctly Michael! Thanks heaps for the great feedback, I'm aiming go produce genuine videos, no bull, no click bait or over dramatisation. Just hard Yacka and nice gold! 👌
After seeing all them noogs and the sluice full I would've expected a lot more gold at the end but also after seeing three pans with nothing in I was thinking time to move spots because there's no point digging ground with no gold. I think you probably got three quarters of it in the first day and moved a lot of ground with not much to show for it the second day. Also I think where you found the biggest bits with the detector that's where only big gold was dropping out but I could be wrong. I've been prospecting for over 5 years and have learnt from the best on UA-cam with lots of hands on experience because not everywhere is the same geology as where other people are so the gold hides in different places. I'm in England and have done pretty well considering there's no records of gold being found where I've found it including that 7.5g noog in my picture. That was 20 feet from my old front door in a tiny stream. ❤️💛💚👍
Gotta love a trommel, they do rock like no other system. Love mine, live yours , a bit big for me. You seem young enough to pull it around. Love the math, not many people break it down to the numbers. Cheers keep punching ❤it 😊
Areet! 👍 I've just found your channel and really like the look of your set up but watching you pulling the trommel over rocks is getting me thinking it needs bigger wheels and tyres on it something like a quad bike with wider and softer tyres that can absorb the stones and bumps so it just seems like it's floating over rocks instead of rattling and clanking about with all the bumps 🤔❤️💛💚 right on to watching the rest of the video. I hope this helps you for future journeys to make the job easier getting it to and from the destination!
Agreed my Rasta friend. At the very least I should let the tyre pressure down a bit so it's not all so clunky. Thanks for the tip and for tuning in mate!
Thanks Rick! I sure was, I set the awning up on the car so I had somewhere dry and spacious to wait out the little storms. Still got pretty wet though 😆. Got my 100 buckets in still though.
I dont see any need to extend or widen, when I pull the mats out it's extremely uncommon to see any gold further down than 1/3rd from the top. Sample pans from the tailings are very lucky to reveal a micro speck or 2. I believe in simplicity when it comes to sluices, it seems a lot of people seem to think more is better, but in reality more is just extra work for no extra return.
Hi mate I think we’ve met before, nice gold by the way, iv noticed in all your vids your gold pans are broken, hopefully soon you can afford to buy a new one. But on a serious note, show the viewers how you really stir your coffee 😂😂
It's a tough life being a completely legitimate prospector. 🤣 My birthday is coming up in 8 months, perhaps you can shout me a new pan? And no to the stirring thing, everyone would instantly unsubscribe hahahaha
I got much nicer gold than this when I was working in the Miclere area above Clermont way back in the day. You guys have some awesome gold up there! I want to get up to the palmer one day. Would love to dredge it from inside a croc cage 😆
Thanks SDI, wish I could take credit for it! It's built by a fella here in Victoria, he's still making them too. The new models are even better than this one!
G'day Rhys, you can get me on the channel contact email TheGoldmansChannel@gmail.com From there I can give you more personal contact details if need be. Cheers!
Certainly do, would hate to let a nice nugget escape. There is the occasional good bit in this area also, would only have to be a few grams to come out the end of the trommel I'd say!
@@TheGoldmansChannel if I had anything like that around here, I'd probably camp out for weeks at a time! My life revolves around the opportunities I create for myself or I wouldn't eat. I quit punching a time clock years ago
Fair enough too, I always prefer to have my trommel up away from the creek for that same reason. On the plus side, I'm the only one that pumps water out of that creek for my house. Next person that does is quite a few kilometres down stream, so nobody gets upset if I dirty it up a bit 😁
"3 litres of diesel, a six pack of beer and half a cigarette." Lmao...you funny bastard.

Great vid mate

pretty cool nice little tromel
Put two bicycle wheels on that thing. Those wheelbarrow wheels get cut on everything. Bigger diameter wheels would roll over most of that stuff.
Indeed they would, that would be a great upgrade 👍🏿👍🏿

I always run the SDC2300 over our tailings piles, just in case! No big suprise nuggets yet, but hopefully one day 🤞😆
Nice shiny ✨
Like ya setup man, was wondering your % of recovery and if extending your sluice mat and widening it would get the fine gold

Sample pans from the tailings are very lucky to reveal a micro speck or 2. Need some side tubes shooting water onto the pile you dump into the trommel then you probably wouldnt have to hand-feed it
You're very correct Stephen. A slow feed into the trommel is handy when the material is this dry and clay bound though 😊
Lmao half a cigarette
Hey that's a good haul in my book for 2 days on that trommel.
I'm easy pleased, so am happy with any clean up 😁. Can't get too greedy can we!
@@TheGoldmansChannel It's a labor of love myself as well. I dig holes out in the bush for fun. If I find gold too that's awesome!
Bloody good for keeping fit too. There really isn't a con that comes to mind in regards to digging holes 💪
Not a bad result good effort.
Thanks Nicholas!
Thanks folks, good stuff👍👍
Well great set-up you got going there, which part of this great country are you in and thanks for a laugh about the state of the economy.🤣
Thanks Bax! Im down in Eastern Victoria. 🍻

No problem! Thanks for tuning in. 👍🏿
instead of struggling with that tree or cutting it just dig out from under it a path just for the trommel to get under 😁
I can dream, can’t I?
Sure you can John! Never stop dreaming 😄
Here, my uncle is great 👍
Some Great colors --Just curious what are you using to turn your Trommel looks like a small transmission ?
Correct Garnett. It's powered by a Honda GXH50, direct coupled to a reduction box with a sprocket on the output to drive the trommel barrel. Cheers

I'm not sure mate, but geez he's handsome! 🤣
