    Big fan of this technique I learnt in Pak Mei which I recently incorporated into my key self defence go to moves. Very impressed with the principle of attacking the hinge rather than chasing hands trying to block the arm

    That's a very nice principle, but pretty damn hard to execute on someone standing in "boxer" stance and having his forehead put forward, becomes hard to manipulate his vertical axis. But the idea of unbalancing your opponent during his movement is very usefull

      The center is still there.... The ability to break him down still all over the place... Perhaps Adam can elaborate...

    Very interesting. In Aiki Jo (Staff) it is the same thing. Creating a cross angle in Parrying to cover more surface area. Also taking spinal structure is a shared principle.

    U should try to use that against a decent boxer to see if that works - just to pressure test it.
