I wanted to express how valuable your content is, especially your explanations on the pelvic tilt and its significance in Wing Chun. Your explanation of really resonated with me, and I believe it’s one of the most crucial yet challenging aspects of Wing Chun to master.
I would like to kindly request if you could create a dedicated video that further explores this topic. Specifically, it would be great if you could include practical tips on how to learn and apply the pelvic tilt effectively, perhaps with examples from the first two forms of Wing Chun. I believe many practitioners would benefit from your insights.
Thank you for considering my request, and keep up the fantastic work!
Best regards
The pelvic tilt as Adam mentioned is common to Southern Chinese systems and is also essential to understanding the body structure of martial arts like xingyiquan and taijiquan.
This might be one of the top three most important Videos I ever saw about striking. Thanks! I might have to give that pelvic tilt another chance.
Could you do a bit more about the fulchrum with chris feeding you attacks to aid our understanding? The part about "being screwed into the ground" was a bit to sparse for me to grasp. Will experiment either way!
Thanks again!
I think that is the core of all the martial arts actually, and not only martial arts, but of the proper biomecanics
I always spun on my heels, even going into other systems like Kali. Got kinda 'corrected' a lot. But that was always the best way for me, especially with my ankle handicap. I turned my left foot backwards when I was a kid, and I have never been able to get the full motion back.
Wonderful as usual.
Adam chan thank you for your valuable information. You are a very good and humble sifu. Where do you give lessons? I might take a vacation just to take a few lessons from you personally. Kind regards a wingchun practicer
Nice concept tentang shifting.
Dear Adam thank you so much for your amazing advices. Much Respect and best wishes from germany.....cheers Tom 🙏
This is such a great video, thanks, Sifu!
One question, Are you engaging the Tai Gong during the shift, or is it already engaged?

It's almost like you need to practice "intercepting fist" you know...jeet kuen...like Bruce Lee named his entire art. 🤔
I don't think those little chest taps are going to do anything dude. dude Wing Chun has already been proven to be extremely ineffective in real fights. if you want a martial arts that's actually going to help you defend yourself and destroy your opponent use American kenpo. win Chun is for movies
