I don't know its close; the only serious error I saw in this was the far right "r" compared to the other one. This marching drill is seriously harder than OSU's
@M3ssageT4k3n Not true. Frankly I've seen this complaint many a time when assessing HBCU bands. The styles are simply different, and part of the difference is that the drum majors traditionally perform on the field with the band during performances. If anything its a credit to the band that they don't require a drum major conducting to keep time. Please, just because you grew up believing something don't assume it applies to everyone else.
@JoannaPreee Because DCI performances are typically more complex in their meter and tempo, drum majors are required to direct the performance. With most HBCU bands performing popular music in common time and constant tempo as long as the band is able to keep time on its own there's no reason to have a drum major conducting the same tempo the whole time, which is why HBCU drum majors perform alongside their band. Though sometimes they do conduct more technically challenging pieces.
@MASENTO.....FAMU BAND can perform a DCI show and learn it in two days......Question? Can DCI perform a "challenging" (in my white voice) FAMU dance routine....I would love to see that....There is a reason why everyone can't do..... what FAMU do....Like there is a reason why everyone couldn't do.... what Michael Jordan do (or did)....
And what are those "standards"? The "player" that can get the biggest blat out of a Sousaphone gets 1st chair? Crooked lines are still crooked whether it's DCI or in Florida.
They all think the Bigger and Louder the better, well that's ALL you get with this Band. There is no Balanced ROUND sound, it's BLASTISIMO. I am NOT impressed.
Mike Montgomery Are you really gonna compared a college band to a Drum Corp? That’s like comparing LeBron James to a good college basketball player. Compare them to another college band that makes more sense
Hubba "100". Nice Show!! Love it! brings back the memories
On Nov 19, 2011, Robert Champion, A FAMU Drum Major was beaten to death by a busload of not only band members but alumni as well.
GREAT SHOW PERIOD! ALL TIME CLASSIC
This is a BAD band. Very large with a Grand performance. Thriller indeed!!
Hoping one day FAMU can get back to this size. 40 tubas, almost 400 total band members is CRAZY!!

@7thSwell Added to that, how can you judge the sound quality from a video on UA-cam??

@revelationchris to bad you're not gonna be able to see the band again till after you graduate
how many members in this band?
At this period it was close to 400
No they didn't finish up on GOOD TIMES!!! lol
@windjammer962 This is not a DCI band so the standards and style are different. You're comparing apples to oranges sir.
FMAU vs Ohio University Marching Band Style
@JoannaPreee thats because drum majors are supposed to conduct, not dance...
Mmmm not true
@JetScreamerJr over 400. lol

Mike Montgomery
What an ignorant comment about this storied brilliant organization.

If u don't shut your ass up. They are even playing loud. And clearly this band has always been balanced and has round sound
Ohio State got ya beat.
@GoldSlidePark.... we will come to OSU and make" your fans" give us a STANDING OVATIONS....
Pretty piss poor noise, lines and moves erratic. They wouldn ' t finish in the top 50 in a Drum Corp Int. competition. And people die for this?
