Dude, I am so hyped for PoE2. As I said on your twitch chat earlier, I am a dark souls veteran, and I am loving the idea of a more engaging combat, meaning that you have to dodge more than in PoE1. I can't get enough PoE2 content, I love talking about it, I love watching stuff, and I love to get up every morning in the knowledge that we are getting closer to the release date. I am working so hard in my own company so I could play in November... AAAAAAAAAAAAAH I CANT WAAAAAAAAIT
To lend more detail to folks hoping to "learn everything in a month": I have over 8000 hours in this game. I make my own builds, have cleared all content in both trade and SSF modes, and I even get far in the gauntlet events. But the one thing I cannot claim is to have "learned everything in the game." There is TONS that I cannot even pretend to be an expert on. Outside of the devs, I'm honestly not sure any single player, regardless of hours and accomplishments in the game, can claim that.
@@ShiroGojo I doubt Ben himself would claim to know everything in the game. He knows a lot for sure and definitely more than me but being the best in the world at the game mechanically is not the same as having 100% of the knowledge of every possible topic in the game.
I have 300 hours in PoE 1. I recently logged in just to see what stash tabs I have and cosmetics I have unlocked but I don’t think I’m going to play it really. I will wait for PoE 2 and fully devote myself to learning it inside and out.
I was leaning towards starting PoE1 since PoE2 is paid and still incomplete, but if it takes an effin master's degree to learn the game than 50% of the content is plenty.
PoE 2 is more unpolished than needing a master's degree. IMO the degree is needed for PoE 1. But I would go PoE 2 right away, great game if unbalanced (different classes are wildly different).
I've found myself in the same path as you somehow and I've come to the conclusion I do want to join the POE1 wagon now. I last played a few hours back in 2016, but nowadays I want to start. Do you have any good guidance into what should I read/approach/watch? Some recommendations maybe a wiki/guide/subreddit/a fellow content creator (I'm already following you btw)
Hi. A lot of people say to follow Zizaran but I find he doesn't suit total beginners. I made a video 'So I recently found Path of Exile' which you may have seen, this is a broad overview of the structure of the game. Once you've seen that, I'd still take a look at PoE university which was created years ago by Zizaran - don't watch these all but choose fundamentals (e.g. defence). Even then they aren't so simple and you may learn a bit only. Simultaneously, follow a build guide if you like or just build your own - I followed a minion build from one of my Twitch community and now I'm doing steel mage's ground slam build (he's well known in the PoE community). Sorry there really isn't much out there for new players like us.
start with poe 1, games easy af. just watch a guide. you dont need to learn shit. there are guides for everything. 3500 hours in. pretty much used guides for the first 1000 hours before i tried to learn shit myself. if you dont play the first one youre a cat.
wait. poe1 is broken as fuck. end game is running around constantly or dying, and melee is awful aside from a few constantly running around boring builds
In the end, they're just game guys so enjoy them as you see fit!

Yeah I'm getting more hyped now. If you like dark souls you will DEFINITELY like Poe 2!
Just the fact that you are working harder and achieving more is great!
Happy to hear when gaming actually motivates people to be better

You're right, Ben is not anyone

I''m sure you'll have fun!
I normally don't play anything early access but if i qualify for free early access I'm definitely going to be taking the head start.
for sure!
Definitely play PoE1 now!
Tri! I watch your videos! Thanks for the comment I'm honoured!
With around 3000 hours I've barely left the tutorial. PoE2 should be a refreshing change for everyone.
true!
yes you should i just beat the game in under 50 hours and now ima start doing maps until poe 2 comes out
If you want to... absolutely

It is like a cake. It tastes good whatever side you bite 😂
Nice! I feel like cake now tho
path of exile 1 seasons was so confusing to me
Totally understand, hardest game I've come across
