- In 1998, science and technology has taken rapid strides on earth, and the people who are living on that planet are in affuence and in peace especially with highly developed information on system. But dissatisfaction has become more clamorots among inhabitants of colonial planets like the moon and Mars being placed under an adverse effect of the prosperity of the earth.
Here in Tokyo in the house of the Katoris, the youngest child Takahashi (15), a junior high first grader is playing with David in New York through a personal computer by using a robot which was made from his design.
At that time, between Japan and America, a material transmittance experiment is being conducted. The system’s purpose is to transmit matter or human beings by radio by dissoliving them into atoms. One day, a rebel army which rose in revolt outside the earth with the backing of some warmongers, has launced a surprise-attack missile toward the earth. Due to confusion of circans, Laserion, a giant electro robot Takashi programmed emerges.
It was my favourite series when I was a kid which was broadcasting on Turkish national channel TRT on that time. That would be great to have English sub titles. Good old memories..

Thank you Toei from having an official channel on UA-cam. Laserion was one of my favorite series here in our country. I just hope you'll allow us to watch GoRanger (aka as Star Rangers here in the Philippines) and other series like JAKQ and KYODAI. These tokusatsu series made my childhood very happy when they were shown. I hope you'll show more Super Robots of the 70s. Domo arigato.

I used to rent this in VHS a lot back in the 80's. Unfortunately there were no more than 6 episodes in Greece.

Leading Motive the full series will be uploaded, but the CC subs in English will only be uploaded by Toei themselves for the first two episodes. Apparently, the community will be allowed to do the subs for the remaining episodes.

The artwork and music back then have magic and charm, and no wonder it's timeless. They all show tremendous of hard work, and heart and soul of the creators. Everything nowadays is way inferior and like a joke. Just the overuse of fake CG and noisy terrible music.

the last Toei Super Robot show.
Well,that is until Transformers G1 appeared 6 months after this anime's first episode and then after its finale,Toei decided to focus on Transformers which was a hit since alien robots as superheroes is a cool concept.

@@PrimusProductions Oh yeah,Getter Robo Go was brought in during the 90's. I noticed there's like a generation trend here,they'll bring back a certain robo for an occasion after the 80's ended.

Da quello che mi risulta, il titolo utliizzato in Italia era proprio Laserion (non so se in successive repliche venne cambiato ) .. c'e' da dire che eravamo gia' (o purtroppo) nella fase calante dei Mecha, e in effetti gli episodi trasmetti/doppiati furono circa la meta' (26/45) .. e comunque:

Pero si esos animes se denominan "mechas", es como si dijeras que las "magic girls" tambien son "sentais". En todo caso, son parte de la cultura de entretenimiento nipona, y que bueno que pudimos disfrutarlo en diferentes etapas de la vida en nuestros diferentes paises. Saludos.
