2:18 this was not a random counter. Dale hits a 1-2, Steve ducks in response, making his next jab whiff. Dale checks this by throwing two df1s, landing the first but Steve is already standing by the second and blocks the attack. Df1 on block is -2, meaning the only thing that could beat a b1 in that situation is jab, grab, high crush, or armor crush, meaning this counter was pretty safe.
Btw, counters aren’t supposed to be predictable dale
I always like when a player knows their shit and can break down what's happening. And it helps those less accustomed to fighting games to learn. If only a certain 40 year old learnt from this.

As someone who has had to memorize this matchup and update my strats through each patch, I can tell you that he should have had this game in the bag, because Victor beats Steve on so many things. But nope, he pretty much just handed him the win lol. To be fair, the Steve was really good.

I dunno. Maybe it's just the players ,but Victor always seemed like an easy match up for most characters I've played. I havent ran into a Victor that was hard to win against but I'm only in higher red ranks. I don't play that much
