Grazie!
thanks for the great tips
Happy to help Prakash 👍
Philip, another masterclass video for inspiration. I have been looking everywhere for a thicker edge paint that I used to use, but the specific brand no longer makes it. The ones you show here in the video seem quite thin. Do you have any other brand recommendations that also have a matte finish?
Uniters (what I use here) sell a thickener that you can add to your edge paint to increase viscosity. Most European edge paint brands will also have a range of finishes from matte to gloss and everything in between. I use satin finish (EP2000). Matte is the weakest and gloss is the toughest. You can mattify gloss by rubbing with a 3M abrasive pad.
Great tips Philip, thanks, can you share what brand of edge paint do you use ?
You're welcome. I used Uniters EP2000 here
@@LeathercraftMasterclass thank you, I've tried some uniters edge paint and had some bad results, yours is much more liquid in the video.
@@LeathercraftMasterclass Philip do you dilute the paint with water or a thinner ? Your looks much more liquid than the one I tried.
@@EduardoSilva-mr1lp No, that's how it comes straight from the bottle
@@LeathercraftMasterclass love your responsiveness, thanks for answering, I've been watching and learning great stuff on this Chanel, have made myself the strop/ sharpening plate, it's awesome, so many great technics , tips , thanks for all 👌.
Which Edge paint did you uses?
I used Uniters EP2000 here
Hi, every one..
Can you help me, i view lot of video and i'm confused about edge paint...
Is it all paint same, like acryl an the other, or have difference.
Can some one tell me wich paint its ok for begginer, i wana to paint edge on chrome tan leather.
Tnx, i watching you..
I use Uniters edge paint. There is no beginners edge paint, only good, and not so good edge paint.
@LeathercraftMasterclass I bought some colors but I think I made a mistake because they are very thick... is it okay that after each time I apply the color to the edge, I start the same with a warm tool and then sandpaper, and repeat the process 2 or 3 times, and finally use beeswax?
beautiful handle...I need to get back in the leathershop..😂😂 It's getting dusty in there.🤦♂
Thank you! Maybe an idea for your next project 👍
@@LeathercraftMasterclass I kinda have a duffel halfway started. I do rolled edges on the handles but the fold over the hardware with me modified in this style for sure!
