Always love the Blancpain 50 and adding the JLC was a nice touch, their divers are pure class

When your Royal Oak falls overboard, I think you'll be glad that somewhere in the bottom of your tackle box is an SKX.Just sayin.

"But this is my list!" That line by itself started my interest in the Tudor Black Bay. Wasn't even on my radar at the time I watched this. I ended up buying the burgundy Black Bay. It's my first high-end watch. Thanks!

I love the Bremont s500. The green one looks great in sunlight, but the blue one has the most beautiful lume. Google some pics of those. Perhaps some day I'll buy one of these. The rubber strap matches so well with the watch that I prefer it over the bracelet.

Fredrico whom I respect thinks the Blancpain has a delicate movement for a dive watch. What I love about mine is the 140hr power reserve and the accuracy. Always moving when I wake up late and hardly have to reset this watch. About being delicate I deep dive with the Fifty Fathoms and works perfect. Seems pretty tough to me.

I particularly liked the Tudor with the vintage leather strap similar to the one you have in your Rolex sub, looks great, I wonder where can I get one of those??

Not a bad list Freddy but I take issue with one quip regarding the Superocean. That watch when it came out had a base price in 2010 of just over 3k with the rubber strap. They are going used today depending on condition for 2 to 3k. I know because I own a few Breitling watches and this is one of the ones I bought in 2011 tax free for just under 3k in 2011 money and that was with the entry level strap. I did purchase the metal bracelet later on. I’m glad you put it on the list anyhow.

Just watched this video again after a few months and noticed how good the selection really is subjective to variants within the specified brands, wonderful brands no doubt. Just one that I own that does get snubbed for some reason is the Ulysse Nardin divers. Great quality for great pre owned prices.
Seiko tuna marine master is a winner too.

I have been watching your videos quite a time but never left any comment. Compliments from my side, you are doing a great job and I particularly like they way you talk and appreciate your expertise. I am in love with dive watches and if you only mention 10, for sure there are so many out there. I agree, there should be at least one Seiko, their dive watches are just so gorgeous. But also OK, this are luxury divers right. Happy you mention Breitling, lot of love for these too. Keep going on and wish you all the best. Alexander

Some decent watches and I definitely get the bb and pelagos debate as I did it and pulled the trigger on the the inhouse pelagos simply on technical prowess. now that the bb bronze is out I feel that it is the king of the divewatch category

Just joined up and trying to catch up on all the vids. Being a dive watch fan, of course this was one of the first I had to watch. Great list, and happy to see a watch I actually own make the cut, the Oris Aquis. I also have the 65. Oris gives you great value for the money.

  • @polifrone5
    @polifrone5 7 років тому

You hit the preverbal nail on the head. I agree with everyone, and I happen to, as you do own quite a few on your list. The Oris is the Chevy of the bunch which I use all the time to dive,I have a Breitling Avenger Seawolf at 10,000 meters I use it as well to dive. I sold my Rolex for a Panerai just because I'm Italian and I want a piece of Italian history, I own the Blancpain, but as you say now quit as durable as one would expect at $8,900 per owned. The Tudor, I own the same one in your video, the red and distressed strap...... a Real homerun..!!!! And finally you have to give credit to the Seiko SKX007 Automatic, otherwise known as the Double "O" 7 (007). A real robust watch that can be serviced all over the world by any watchmaker and if you are in need of a hammer the Seiko can do that too. I hope you could add this few to your list.
    Thanks, Rocco

I realize your list is luxury, have you heard of Magrette? This is a diver with Miyota movement and is about $550. Very well put together watch. I don't think it's very popular with US buyers, but I think the ZRC Grands Fonds re-edition is one of the funkiest but coolest vintage throw back sort of watches to come out in the last few years. The crown at six o'clock is just so unique!

  • @LobstarNZ

Your review style is perfect; 10 watch reviews in 11 minutes. I'll try on the JLC deep sea alarm and see if it makes my grail list. TUDOR- I have tried all the divers on, including the bronze. I preferred (and brought) the Pelagos Blue - only after waiting for a bronze to try. Ultimately I preferred the tool watch look over the Black bays dress/dive look. Also didn't like the case thickness of bb, Pelagos has same thickness but pulls it off due bigger case. As you have a large wrist and you like the bb you should check out the bronze, it wears the same size as Pelagos.

Decided to get a Tudor Black Bay (red bezel) mainly because of this video. It wasn't even on my radar until Frederico said, "but this is my list." Good point; I guess I like diver/yacht/water-friendly pieces for the weekend and this one is a great example of something you can wear at the beach (let's be honest most of us don't go diving with our dive watches) and then go out to dinner with later on without looking overly utilitarian. It also has GMT to boot

I mean its snorkelling at best and even then I'd wear a Suunto instead
