I would just like to request that for the part 2 when you talk about how you moved to the US, also give some perspective to how someone like me who's in another country like the UK can move to the US ideally through an employment route on a settlement visa.

Interesting perspective. Honestly, you lived for a short while in Ontario and moved to US from Ontario. I am not sure how you speak for the whole of Canada, which you obviously have not seen. Housing in most Canadian provinces except the desi hubs of ON and BC is very affordable. Land is very cheap, particularly around wilderness if you want are an adventure seeker. Canadians are super friendly from coast to coast to coast. You don't worry about your kids not coming back home due to random gun violence. Canadian border guards and customs always have a smile on their face each time you come back into the country. Canada has one tenth of US population. You don't have to worry about citizenship in Canada for decades unlike US. These are two different countries and for good reasons. Good luck to you both.

What works for one person may not be right for another. I went to the US for studies, worked there and left. I am a British citizen and did not want to live in the UK and had spent enough time in the Middle East. I relocated to Canada, and right now I don't see myself leaving Canada. It is always a choice that in unique to the individual or family. One size does not fit all.

Salaries have always been the highest in the US for a long time. Based on my research, no country can compete with US on that. To your point, FB pays 20-30% less to its employees in the UK for the same position, and same goes for Amazon, they will drastically reduce your salary from one country to another and do sudden transfer without any advance notice. Has happened to many.

I love watching your content. I posted earlier; maybe it got deleted. I wanted to point out that education and Healthcare vary from State to State more in the US than from province to province in Canada. If you compare, say, NY vs MA.
Healthcare: In NY, all legal residents( even on student visas) who make less than $37,650 get free insurance ( i.e., no Premiums and deductibles). Rest are subsided based on income and family size. NYC provides Healthcare for all residents regardless of their immigration status.
In general, there is Medicaid for low-income people and Medicare for seniors. Anyone with a disability is taken care of via Medicare. Also, if you have any medical expenses, 7.5% of your adjusted gross income, you can deduct them from your taxes.
Education: if you make less than $125,000 in NY, all public colleges(SUNY/CUNY) are tuition-free. If you make more than that, the tuition is about $6000-$7000 per year. Most CUNY students graduate debt-free. Many other states have a similar program.
NYC has free pre-K and free 3-K.
I have lived in both the US & Canada. No place is perfect, and one has to find a place that is perfect for oneself. In Canada, I know cases where people got treated for Cancer for free, but I also knew someone in GTA in his 20s who was unable to see a specialist for a heart condition and died in ER in 2018. I have family members in their 50s who have been waiting for years to see a specialist and a few recent immigrants who either haven’t had a family doctor for 3 years or got assigned one that they don’t like and have to wait again. Similarly, I know people in the US ( including a few on tourist visas) who had to go through extensive medical procedures and got big bills later. They talked to the Hospitals and either got waived or got it reduced a lot and paid it back in small monthly installments.
This was when I realized that when you don’t get Healthcare when you need it, then you don’t have Healthcare, free or not. In the worst-case scenario, I would instead get the care I need, worry about the Healthcare, and not get care despite having paid for it.
The US, Canada, and perhaps the UK are the best societies for Brown people to live and thrive. Anecdotally, the only time I have seen open racism multiple times was in Alberta. Canada has its issues with racism as well. I find Canadians to be passive-aggressive; therefore, it seems masked. I am also starting to observe a lot of rancor in Canadian society in the past few years.
Both the US and Canada are great places to live. Both have pros and cons, and one needs to find a place that works for oneself.

    • @NorthAmerican-Desi

TN is a good option and it all depends on the policies of the employer and if they will eventually sponsor you for green card. Have this clarified before you move. We know someone who moved on TN and his employer didn’t sponsor but his wife’s employer did and then they eventually got the green card

Informative content. Your videos could improve if you quantify some of the comparisons or claims. Not hard to do. 1) average annual tuition in the USA for an undergraduate vs. average annual tuition in Canada. 2) average annual health insurance premiums for a family of 4 in the USA. The secondary health benefits you mentioned made available in Canada (dental, massage and therapy etc.) could also be used to contrast with the USA by providing what it would cost to add these secondary health benefits to one's health insurance in the USA. Not to mention costs for day care. Might be a bit more work but it would add immensely to quality of your video and reveal a better comparison. It will set you apart from the run-of-the-mill UA-camrs churning out off-the-cuff content. Also, there are 50 states in the USA - not 52. Keep it up!

I am pakistani/ french living in france.Life is easy here as compared to US canada.I have 3 kids and my wife is paid full salary staying at home.Plus each child gets financial support from state.I will not pay anything for thier education till PHD.My family medical is totally free.I work 35 hours per week and gets 47 paid vacations annually. Is there concept of paid stress leave in US or canada?
Being a french speaker its easy for me to move canada but grass is always green on other side.
If you want to enjoy life with your family than Eu countries are best where state is responsible for your quality of life.

    • @mateenali66
      @mateenali66 Місяць тому +1

Yes it is the same in Canada, it is easy to get stress/casual leaves and the EI takes care of it. The real difference is the pay gap between France and Canada. A role in Canada in my field pays 180-200k C$ per year whereas the same role in France pays 60~70k € which is way too less. Its the same with benefits, kids get 800~1000C$ per month whereas in France the figure is around 150~200 €. I can go on about retirement benefits but EU is struggling and people in EU either move to UK or US or Dubai, because even Dubai has better salaries than EU. Then comes the community integration, Canada is very diverse and welcoming whereas France makes it really difficult to integrate in society.
I have lived in UK, US and Canada, i feel Canada is the best for me and my family because it has beautifully mixed the welfare of Europe with capitalism of US and has found something in between.

Yes you are right Desi community always moving between dubai US canada for better future🤞.Its a debt trap west have created for asian immigrants, look at taxes there. Can't imagine living in artificial dubai with temp of 55C° or canada -15C° of extreme weather for just few $. I know its hard in canada to remove tons of snow in morning. It all depends on your life prefrences. You can integrate if you know the language well but unfortunatly desi's dont want to learn new cultures.
There is no climb climb culture here, people are relaxed chiling out thier life.Access to 30 Eu countries for vacations/festivals connected by roads.
If you really into money game then a person selling love locks under the eiffel tower paris makes 20k euro per month.I hope you got my point😊.
