Dulcimer / Fiddle, it’s a Diddle. This is Crazy!

Build 129, from Lucky Pick Guitars
It’s a Dulcimer and a Fiddle put together. It’s a Diddle!
This is the first of its kind for me. Took a lot of engineering but it came out brilliant. It sounds amazing and I love it so much.
I took it to the Renaissance Faire with me and was going to keep it, when a good friend said he had to have it. So, my good buddy Tree is now the proud owner of my first Diddle. Enjoy brother!🤠

Oh my god, that is absolutely amazing. It looks like a fiddle with a guitar neck, it plays like a guitar, but it sounds like a dulcimer. How did you come up with this idea?

Hey Vincent,
So glad you like it! I’ve been building cigar Box guitars for about 2 years now. I’m always looking for fun crossover instruments and I’ve seen other builders do similar things as this.
It’s just a lot of fun.

@@luckypickguitars196 Question: is it possible to use that body for a variation of the Ukulele? Perhaps a baritone but with GCEA tuning?

I’d just have to find the scale length of a baritone ukulele Anf apply it to the violin body. It would be a “Ukolin?” Lol!
