Sounds really good. Not too loud or raspy, but not as quiet as the Q300. Might have to pick one up for my '17. Thanks for recording a bunch of different tones!
I would do it for you but I insulated some of my car so the number wouldnt be accurate. Plus after the 2015, subaru added thicker window glass and better seals due to noise complaints.
Vincent Miave Yan I would choose this. The q300 is very quiet compared to this in person. Plus the r400 with a catted j pipe would sound great. Even better and not to loud with a catless one.

JayceStardasher You got it buddy. I'm hear to help everyone out one video at a time ;D
Any chance you picked one up for '17? I'm looking at purchasing one for my '17
Best video demonstrating the R400 on YT. Convinced me to place the order.
Sergei L Hey brother, glad I could help ;)
Nice video, mine will be here next week.
Son Nguyen enjoy it brother. Check out my other videos.
mikeymike0954 will do bro
mikeymike0954 I ordered it with catted j pipe, do i need protune for it?
Nice video, just finished mine. Process West intercooler etc
Nice exhaust! But me personally, I need more rumble.
Then the 2.0 is not a good option
Agree, I just installed mine on 2015 WRX stock. Need more rumble for sure
Try getting UEL headers.
Hey great video! Does anyone know the decibel levels of the r400? I haven't been able to find any videos of someone testing this exhaust

hi i like the sound of that thanks. Would you recommend this exhaust with a cobb or mishimoto intake + cobb accessport?
Yup
Check my later posts
I daily drive my wrx. I absolutely love this exhaust but do a lot of highway miles. Would this be too loud?
Adam NO No it wont be bad at all. Just don't add a catless downpipe. That will make it annoying.
Sounds very nice but I have to ask, is there much drone during normal city or highway driving?
Pyro Vulpes with the cat back only, not to bad at all.
I have this exhaust on my 19’ STI, sounds way better with the 2.5 boxer lol
Bet
did you reuse your stock hangers??
JaHm3sZ yes
What gaskets did u use
I guess what ever it came with.
stock j pipe ? doesn't seem that loud compared to stock
Vincent Miave Yan Stock j pipe/ down pipe. Its louder than stock and has a way better tone. I wish I had a decent mic to better capture the sound.
thinking if i should pair this exhaust or q300 with a catted j-pipe.

You have downpipe in this video?
JaHm3sZ Stock downpipe. This video is a demo of the r400 catback only.
My remark delets sound louder. So if i want to go even louder this isnt my choice. Not saying its bad just not loud enough by far.
Check my other videos.
Need a tune for that?
cottonwoodz1 If you run only a catback then no
Ok, was under the impression that 3 inch catback, need tune. Thanks
cottonwoodz1 turbo back would i think
